Welcome to another Freebie Friday! Can you believe we’re already in April? It was just two short months ago that we launched our Paper Crafts Connection blog. Here’s just a few stats to show you how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time:

Not too shabby, right? And these numbers can largely be attributed to our loyal readers who keep coming back for more “connection” day after day and week after week. So as a way to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts, I’m giving EVERYONE access to our Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World blinkies! How’s that for a giveaway!

If you’re a fan of either of these blogs and would like to show your support by uploading one or both blinkies to your personal blog, here are the direct image URLs and HTML codes you’ll need:

Well, the one prank I remember truly believing was when my mom came rushing into my room and told me our dog had been hit by a car. I started crying like crazy. It was supposed to be an April Fools joke (wha?)…I guess it backfired on my mom…she felt horrible that she made me cry!
The best prank ever pulled on me was a rubber snake in my suitcase. I was screaming and eventuatlly beat the suitcase to death with a broom. The rubber snake survived.
Thanks for the chance to win.
My hubby is too wise to pull pranks on me. He only tried one time and then he saran-wrapped the towl bowl. What a mess that would have been! He did however do a really successful prank when he was in high school. He and some mechanically inclined buddies wired the car horn to the brake pedal, so everytime their friend stepped on the brake the horn went off!
Well, I don’t know if it was so much a prank as a surprise. I was getting near the end of my pregnancy and my friends/coworkers had thrown a shower for everyone else, but no one had mentioned one planned for me. I was a little bummed about it since it was my first baby and all. DH went to the Christmas party for work with me and halfway through the party, they called me into the other room to help with something. When i walked back in, they had transformed the room into an array of pink and baby themed stuff and surprised me. Even my DH was in on it the WHOLE time! It was awesome!
18 yrs ago, I received a phone call.
“Hello, is Angel there?”
I said,
“Sorry, you got the wrong number, there’s no Angel here”.
He said………
“Oh, so you’re all demons there?” and hung up on me.
Har har. Don’t know who it was but anyways, I had a chuckle and obviously, I still remember it.
Well I wasn’t in on this one but there was a big stink about it in my home town. Two years ago a radio station had some kind of April fools prank going. Apparently they ran what sounded like a news broadcast telling people that the space shuttle was being brought through town and that people could go see it at the local airport. Apparently a lot of people skipped work, and school and all that to go see it the once in a lifetime spectacle that never happened. LOL. But People were seriously upset, kids were crying etc, and the radio station had to put out a public appology for a week, and the story was a buzz all over the local news stations. I think someone got fired over it. So let that be a lesson to any of those April fools pranksters out there. REALLY think it through before you prank. Thanks for the great blog! Happy Spring!
i think i’ve never really had a good prank pulled on me because i always know when it’s april fool’s day, but google had an awesome one last year that did i did believe for a little while…it was something about back dating your emails so that if you missed a deadline or something you could go back and make it look like you submitted it on time. there were a few other features too that were hilarious but obviously unethical. anyway, that’s the best one i can think of.
I’ve never really had a prank pulled on me. I remember a lot of silly things when I was young, some involving fake bugs, puke and other stuff. I guess the people in my life aren’t really pranksters.
My husband always forgets to do a joke. But I have made a lot of them! Don’t remember them now, but they were good ones at the time. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy
This is such a “potty” humor joke, but I always remember the first time I saw one of those fake piles of poo. I was in highschool and someone had placed them in the school hallways. Of course, nobody was going to get close enough to see if it was real (lol) They do look real though.
WELL I have been known to be a joker in my younger years.. (OK who am I kidding I AM a joker! lol) but never when it comes to April Fools isn’t that funny! lol… Although my friend did get me good this year TOO GOOD…. She emailed me saying they were going retire like 15 prime colors from Stampin Up and did the whole act of “REALLY” being upset! I tell you she could have won an oscar for it… Just as I was about to go on the site.. she comes and say.. Hmm Ellie April fool! I WILL GET HER I TELL YOU!!! lol…
This year one of my fave blogs pulled a prank that had me going… she said that the blog was too much to keep up and it was closing. I was soooo sad as I read this, it’s a great digital scrapbooking resource blog. But at the end she admited that it was a prank, not to worry ’cause she had plenty of stuff planned for us readers still….. lol.
Oooh, another one I just remembered… Our town newspaper last year posted an article about how the town’s very large statue of a Buffalo ( we’re the buffalo capital of Alberta) had been sold to a nearby town along with our claim to fame of being the Buffalo capital of Alberta, it really had me going! I was so shocked!
My most memorable April Fool’s prank was when I was a first year teacher in 1988 teaching the most awesome group of fifth graders. They had planned various times of the day to all get up and sharpen their pencils, walk around the room in a circle, start cheeping like birds, etc. The best was when I returned from lunch to find the class across the hall seated in my room and my class seated across the hall. They kept it going all day. That was my best and favorite year teaching!
I fell for the craft critique paper stretcher product and then got rick rolled!
My most memorable April Fool’s prank wasn’t a spectacular or clever prank. My 6-yr old daughter turned to me this year as we were walking to school and said “Mom, your socks are untied.”
And I looked down to check. *facepalm*
I woke up one april fools morning to find my flatmates had clingfilmed everything in the house, the loo was all wrapped up, the sofa, the bins, food, everything was securely wrapped in a layer of cling film. I found my flatmates outside trying to work out a way of clingfilming the doors. It was very funny though, and was to make up for me pretending to fall out of an 8th floor window the year before.
Our family always had a dog, beginning when I was about 6 years old. EVERY April Fools’ Day, for many years, my mother would wake us with, “The dog just had puppies!!!” We didn’t realize until later that “the dog” was always a BOY! (It’s hard to be on your best game the instant you wake up!)
I’ve tried it on my kids for years–they only “bit” once!
Thanks for a fun one!
I’m lucky enough to be able to say I’ve never had a prank pulled on me!
My 17 year old son and a teacher got me good Wed….My son hasn’t been in any kind of trouble at all growing up…He had a teacher call me to say that he had started a horrible fight in her class and hurt the other boy really bad that an ambulance was on route…I was in shock and didn’t think it was April fool’s day… I hung up the phone and screamed for my husband he was running around trying to find his keys it seemed like forever…We were on route to his school and my husband said his diabetes was acting up and that we had to stop so he could get some food in him…by then I was growing really mad…When we finally arrived at school my son and teacher were holding signs saying Happy FOOLS DAY!!! I couldn’t believe that my best friend(teacher) had another teacher call me and they had set me up along with my husband…needless to say they all got me bad…
P.S I’m usually the one setting people up…
Awesome giveaway!!!!!
By the way the HTLM codes don’t work…and I’m not sure how to add the ULRs
The best prank pulled on me was one my Dad built up for years! He used to always grab my arms and swing me over the pool. All the time, for years. So one day he does it, and throws me in! I was so surprised. I went in shoes and socks and all!
April Fool’s Jokes…hmmm!?? My granddaughter (age 10 at the time) called me to say she couldn’t come and spend the weekend with me. She said her Mom was getting married. She acted all excited. I knew she had a boyfriend but didn’t hink they were serious. So of course, I fell for it. I’m such a sucker to a kid. She wouldn’t lie to her Gramma!! But she would pull a fast one….and still does whenever she can!! Gotta love em’. I’m also unable to get a blinkie to work for me!!!
My least favorite (and therefore probably best) prank was the one when my brother gave me a scratch off lottery ticket with a $100,000 prize! I never buy the things so I am so gullible….I totally thought I had won. I ran around my gram’s 80th birthday party (yes she was born April 1) yelling “I won, I won, look everybody, I really won!!!” It took my uncle laughing his head off at me for me to begin to suspect something wasn’t quite right. Boy did I learn to look closer at the tiny print on those things!
GRRRRRR!!!
Lucky thing I’m over it now
Thanks for a great prize chance! (Um, is there any tiny print I’ve overlooked??)

When I was a kid I read in the local newspaper one day that they had mined diamonds in the area of our town and that all citizens would be given one as a memento if they showed up at the market square at a given time. I got really excited and wanted to go right away. Unfortunately, my parents had to tell me that it was only an April Fools joke.
A few years ago my dad pullled a mean/funny prank on me and my mom at a movie theater. During the movie he was complaining that he did not feel well. All of a sudden he started to shake and we asked him if he was okay and his reply was a mouse just ran across his feet. Well, me and my mom got to our feet very, very fast and was just about to leave are seats when my dad said “April Fools”.
One time at work I changed the color of all the fonts to white. As they were working, nothing was showing up. Everyone kept checking the keyboard connection, rebooting etc. It was great!
No pranks pulled on me…..
The best trick that was played on me was played by me! I thought for sure I was pregnant all day, took a test, came back yes! Went to Dr., its really no! So it was me!
The best prank on me was my son put Elmer’s white school glue in my lotion pump bottle! YUCK
I haven’t had a lot of pranks played on me but I was shocked and dismayed when my friends had a male stripper come to my 19th bday party.
Good morning
Here in Spain, the 1st April is not the of the jok but in France (where I was born and live until 1980) it is.
I make a lot of prank to other people but it’s very difficult to make me (or had ??? My english is very poor. Sorry) a pranks because I allways know that is a prank: My mother every year call me and say a lot os silly jok, my sister also but it’s impossible
My memory is now too short and I don’t remember if when I was a child I have followed a wrong story call “prank”
Have a good eastern. I’m in hollyday from eastern and I go to the beach tomorrow
Kiss from Spain
I once tried to teach my little ones that you cannot eat raw cookie dough because of the salmonella from the eggs. My son who was 7 didn’t believe me…so I ate some dough and told him I hope I don’t get sick. Later (maybe 15 minutes later), I pretended to get a stomach ache and fell over on the floor and then closed my eyes and laid still….my daughter was worried, but my son said, “she’s not dead, go drop something on the floor and she’ll wake up and be mad”….when I heard my daughter’s little footsteps going to a cupboard, I woke up really quick (just to make sure she wasn’t going to break something on the floor…I guess the trick was really on me! lol
I’m not a prankster and I haven’t been pranked. But I’d love some American Crafts . . . so I’m going to run and tell my DH I’m pregant . . . again with a 4th girl!! That’ll rile him up. tee hee.
My dear colleagues in the ED where I work, phoned me and told me I was rostered to work, and where was I. After a half hour journey into work I found them all grinning…..April Fool pfffft!!!
I can’t think of one that was played on me, but here was the prank my 6 year old daughter Emma came up with this year. “Mom, I’m going to get up early and go down and put all of the cereal bags into other boxes, so when Dad and Parker eat their cereal, they’ll be confused and will think they picked the wrong box.” She is not a morning person, so she didn’t get up to do it, but I love her thinking!
I don’t really remember any pranks/jokes that have been played on me. BUT… the best I heard this year was someone putting a “For Sale” sign on their neighbor’s lawn and the neighbors actually received quite a few calls before figuring it out! That would have been great!
i just had a friend email saying she was moving back the city from the west. I got so excited and told her of many places to rent and buy and made sure she would call if she needed help moving and it was all a joke! I was SO SO mad!
I remember mostly the one pulled on me by my son when he was 10 years old. It was snowing lightly & he told me there wasn’t any school that day. I hadn’t had my coffee yet & didn’t check it out any further. About lunch time, my husband came home & the “April Fool’s Story” was out. I didn’t have the heart to send him to school in the afternoon so we went toa movie together.
He never did try it again, though.ha-ha
I’m boring, because i’ve never had a prank pulled on me. we’re not nig pranksters around here!
We live in the country, and live the country life. We own nearly 1000 cows, and it is a lot of work. One April Fools, my father-in-law called us and said that every cow we owned was out in the roads and other people’s pastures. This takes aunts, uncles, cousins, young, and old to get cows back. So we all throw on our boots over our pajamas, grab out coats, and get in the trucks to leave. We pulled up where the cows were supposed to be out, and there was my father in law sitting on the back of his truck drinking a cup of coffee!! I was so mad, I wouldn’t speak to him for a couple of weeks. He sure thought it was funny though!!!
Thank you for the chance to win these. They are GREAT!!!
Blessings~~ Danielle
I’m not fond of pranks, and honestly, I cannot remember one that has been pulled on me. My niece was born on April 1st in 2004, and when they called to tell us, I thought they were joking at first! They weren’t!
I am all blinkied up on my blog! Love them!!
The best April Fools prank pulled on me was my Mom woke me up and said I did not have to go to school today. She told me we were going to go shopping and a surprise. The only problem was my sister was going to. We were so excited. We rushed around and got ready. After breakfast Mom handed us our school books and said April Fools Day. Bummer
debbie peysen
your blinkie is on my blog! http://jentscrappysideofme.blogspot.com
the best prank i pulled was pretending to be my roommate while chatting. i got the guy to call our dorm and he ended up talking to my bewildered roommate. she only found out when we graduated from college. thanks for a chance to play.
I don’t like April fool’s pranks so much, but I had a friend who called me and told me I’ve won a great weekend vacation… I was so mad when I realized it wasn’t so (plus i was ashamed I fell for such a cheap trick :-])
Added and thanks!
This year my neighbour called out to me, over the fence while I was hanging the washing, and said is that smoke coming out of your kitchen. I turned and as I did I though HE GOT ME! DOH!
PS I love flair and nowhere local stocks them. It is also hard to find them with many Aussie online shops. Wish they did!
well I would have to say my dh said i had a flat tire. When i had asked him to change it he left…went to work. I couldnt change it, because i had just had my baby, so, I called my father (who then lived 8 miles away) to come and change it and when he got here….i wound up not having one
The best prank played on me EVER was when I was turning 16 and my parents threw me a Sweet 16 party complete with a faux champagne fountain…BUT they didn’t tell the kids it was a sparkling grape juice…we all thought it was the real thing!!! LOL We all acted tipsy and giggly thinking we were getting drunk! It so scared my parents that they insisted on keeping the empty bottles for weeks afraid to death that a parent of one of the invited guests would get upset! I’m not sure who enjoyed the prank more..me or my parents!
Years ago somebody sent me a piece of executable code that, when executed, made the image on the person’s PC appear upside-down! It was hilarious and I made use of it on my friends’ PCs at work. Thanx for the memories AND for the chance at t’riffic blog candy!
When my hubby put a rubber band around the sprayer at the kitchen sink. You just so do not expect to get shot in the face with water when your rinsing out your cereal bowl.
