Cath Edvalson
I’m coming up to my four-year anniversary as creative editor here at good ol’ Paper Crafts magazine and I’m amazed at how much things have changed in that amount of time.
One of the most obvious changes has been in our staff. I miss Stacy, Jennafer, Megan, Junko, Neko, and Marissa, but I love working with Brandy, Susan, Kelly, Matt, and Jennifer. Brenda and Stace have been here since before I arrived—and thank goodness for them! They are the keepers of our history and we turn to them often for continuity as we grow our brand.
Back in the day, we had columns such as Gifts from the Heart, Celebrations, and Paper Finishes; while now we have columns such as the Joy of Card Making, Moxie Fabs, Photo Finish, and Get Inspired–with new ones in the works for 2010. (Sshh…that’s a secret!)
But perhaps the biggest change I’ve seen in the four years since I started here is in the many ways you can access Paper Crafts magazine and the people who put it together.
Like this fun blog, in point of fact. Here you get to go behind-the-scenes, get important info, get to know our Paper Crafts Pros, win prizes, and participate in super fun challenges with the winning projects being posted for all to see.
Our other blog, Moxie Fab World, focuses on the trends in paper crafting. It’s a spot for inspiration, contests, Q&As with your favorite designers, and lots of chances to win fun prizes.
In addition, all of the editors and most of our Pros have their own personal blogs, so you can get to know what really makes us tick.
We’ve also got a group on Facebook. You can become a fan or join our group and receive updates and hot bits of news. I like this type of access because it’s an instantaneous reminder of the fun things we’ve got going on here at Paper Crafts. And of course, you can become a friend of all of us editors on Facebook, too—just look us up and ask!
We’ve even got a new, slick way to submit your projects to our calls. We’ve got a call out right now for our January/February 2010 issue, so why don’t you give it a try by clicking here. Talk about access—we publish brand spanking new designers in every issue, maybe one of them will be you!
You can enter our sweepstakes contests in every issue, download cool sentiments and patterns, check out our online bonus projects, and soon you’ll be able to upload your cards to our World Card Making Day web site. You can email your questions for our Pros here, you can give us feedback here, and you can comment today on your favorite way to access Paper Crafts magazine! Leave a comment by midnight MST on Wednesday, May 20 and I’ll select one random winner to receive an Easy Stamp Press from Fiskars along with their new clear stamp set called Tartan ‘n Time.

Will you be the lucky one to take this home?
Maybe, like me, your favorite way to access Paper Crafts is by finding it in your mailbox and flipping through its pages. Whatever your preference, we sure are glad you’ve found us, for without you it just wouldn’t be the same.
Yours in celebrating four fun-filled years,
~Cath

I love to visit the blogs but there is nothing like holding the magazine in your hands!
I also love the feel of a nice fresh magazine in my hands! (I love checking out things online but it’s not the same as that shiny slick magazine page!)
Hi Cath!
Congratulations on 4 years!
My favorite way to access PaperCrafts is from my mailbox…it’s the one subscription I keep renewing!
I love the eye candy and pure pleasure of flipping through the mailed copy, but I have to say blogs are coming closer to being my favorite! Thanks for a chance to win!
Papercrafts don’t ever leave us, we need you, online and the paper magazine!
Congratulations on your 4th anniversary and I just love Paper Crafts! I love the website and the blog too. I always go online when the new issue comes out to check everything out!
Thanks for the chance at another great giveaway!
I love getting my copy in the mailbox. When it arrives I take some time to flip through to see what I have to look forward to. I then take time later to go through the magazine at a slower pace and mark pages that have ideas I am interested in. I sometimes do this several times until my next issue comes.

Well, surprisingly, I just discovered this blog and I LOVE reading what each of you have to contribute! This is my favorite way to access Paper Crafts, however, nothing beats good old magazine in-hand.
Congrats on your 4 year anniversary.
I love getting my magazine in the mail. I get to flip through the pages over and over again. I always miss things the first time around. I love the blog and love how you can download pattern and sentiments. Thanks so much for a chance at this fabulous giveaway.
I love dogearing and re-reading an actual mag, but I am steadily becoming a big fan of the blogs because I like the constant flow of information and inspiration.
The blog is very nice to keep up to date daily, but I am still prefer the magazine in the mailbox so I can go back to refer to it easily.
Congrats on 4 years!!! XOXOX Paper Crafts! I love having daily access to inspiration so the blogs are my favorite way to Paper Crafts :0)

Hands down the magazine, eagerly await each and every issue. Go through it page by page again and again.
Love the blog, but a hard copy of the magazine is my favorite!
Congratulations to you!!!
LOVE the mag and constantly am looking to it for inspiration! Thanx for it and the blog candy opp!
Paper form is the best, but online is wonderful too! Any way to enjoy Paper Crafts is the best:)
I love to get the new issue of your magazine. I still grab the old issues and re-read them weekly. My family knows not to touch my papercraft magazines.
I have ALL SORTS of hobbies! I love papercrafting, stamps and cards as well as scrapbooking. I knit, crochet, sew, embroider. I make beaded jewelry, cook and garden. I also dabble in woodworking. I have made wood pens on the lathe, and I want to work with the scrollsaw as well. I wish that I could create things all the time!
I enjoy going to my local book store and buying the latest edition of Papercrafts magazine. I always pick the one in the very back of the stack because I know it hasn’t been touched, yet. Yes! It’s silly of me!!!
I love the easy access of online reading. The blogs are great too.
I love getting that copy in the mail and being able to touch it—does that sound creep? LOL! I do love your blogs, too—I’m learning so much more from these than I can from just the magazine itself! Thanks for all the info!
Although I love sitting looking through my favorite mags, with life being so busy, sometimes the easy access of everything online wins. I get so much inspiration from others, that things always seem new and fresh here!
I love the blog. There’s nothing like taking a few minutes and seeing what’s fresh and new… inspiring… designers… plus all the fun contests and freebies.
Congrats on your 4 years and many to come! I have acess to this blog but I will probably get an issue later on, love all the inspiration it has!
congrats on your 4 years & to many more!
It has been a great 4 years. I was looking for an old magazine yesterday and found the first issue. I sat there and enjoyed it again.
I enjoy all the ways to access Paper Crafts but my favorite way is for Paper Crafts to come in the mail. I love reading it, writing on it. dog earing pages etc.
Thanks

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone! Here’s to another 4 (plus!) years!
I love to visit all of the different ways to access Paper Crafts!!! But I especially love the magazine and have for years. Keep up the great work and thanks for everything you all do for the “paper crafting world”.

I love how convenient the world wide web makes it to share creativity and inspiration…I do still love having the magazine in my hand though.
This is definitely one of the best blogs I visit! Congrats on Four Years!
I just love the papercrafts magazine. i flip through for hours when i get it look at all the amzingly talented people there are. Thanks for all the inspiration.
My favorite way of accessing PaperCrafts is by having the actual magazine. I love to be able to hold it and flip through it several times, dog-ear the corners, and put post-it tabs in where I get ideas.
Love receiving Paper Crafts mag in my mail box.
I love to read it as soon as I get it in the mail! I like a hard copy of the magazine in my hand!
I miss you, too, Cath. Thanks for mentioning me in your nice post.
Take care,
Megan
I have a new “toy”, my little purple Blackberry, and nothing beats reading your blog under the shade of a tree outside my work, as an escape from an incredibly fast-paced, hectic work day. I love to getting a new idea at lunch, to try in my craft room at night, when the kids are asleep!
Seen that Paper Crafts is the only mag I subscribe to, that is my favorite way to access it. I love to go through it over and over…anywhere I want. I go over it in bed, waiting to pick up the kids, outside on the deck. I’m sure you get the picture now…I LOVE IT!
