Brandy Jesperson
I’ve been a girly-girl for as long as I can remember. I never went through the tomboy phase of life and instead opted for a never-ending string of tea parties, Barbies, clothes, and shopping. Even today, I enjoy a good tea party, and consider shopping to be both a form of exercise and therapy. Wouldn’t you agree?
So it should come as no surprise that I’ve always been a fan of the color pink. I tend to gravitate more towards raspberry shades, but I also like a good bubblegum pink or a classic pastel pink. No matter which shade you prefer, put it on today and wear it with pride because today is National Pink Day. That’s right! There is an entire holiday dedicated to this rosy shade! To celebrate, I want to show a few of my favorite pink cards from Card Creations, Volume 7.

Melissa Phillips' Pretty in Pink Card from CC7
I love the way Melissa Phillips combined several shades of pink and a dash of red for an utterly delectable and shabby birthday card.

Annette King's Will You Be My Valentine Card from CC7
This classically pink card from Annette King merges two of my favorite patterns of houndstooth and polka dots for a sweet Valentine’s Day card perfect for any loved one.
To celebrate this pink-tastic holiday, and the release of Card Creations, Volume 7 (on sale TODAY!), leave a comment telling me your favorite pink product and you’ll automatically be entered to win a copy of CC7 and the Rouge Paperie collection from Making Memories – the same collection Annette used on her Valentine card above! All comments must be received by midnight (MST) on Wednesday, June 24. The three lucky winners will be announced on Thursday’s blog.

Three lucky winners will receive this pink prize package from Making Memories!
Yours in a paradise of pink,
Brandy
P.S. Not to be left out of the fun, all of us at work dressed in pink too. We look pretty cute, wouldn’t ya say?

Even though Stace forgot to wear pink, luckily her hair color came to the rescue!
P.P.S. It’s time to announce the winners from Cath’s Loving It in the Moxie Fab World post and Sue’s Mad Dad Skills post!!
Cath’s winner: Congrats to Rachel S (June 16, 9:10 a.m.)!
Sue’s winner: Congrats to Summer Braxton (June 17, 6:24 a.m.)!
Congrats, ladies! I’ll be e-mailing you shortly to discuss your prizes and get your mailing addresses. Thanks to all who left comments!

-
I’ve only recently come to love pink. I was a tomboy and with a ratio of three boys to one girl in our house, I don’t find a lot of pink in my scrapbook pages, lol. Thanks to cardmaking, I can now use pink to my heart’s content!
-
I agree with one of the prior commentors – I love basic greys pinks – the eva collection , the blush collection – all are amazing

Confession.. I was a true tomboy… pink and all girly were beyond me.. I would run from pastels and anything that said Girly.. Had my boys and still no sign of pink then we were expecting our oldest DD… and well I went Pink happy it was as if they opened the gates to Pink to me.. I couldn’t get enough! lol.. All of a sudden tutu’s and sweet linens and laces all were calling me as well in my crafts I love to see those soft pinks and textures… How fun.. Now with my youngest DD we are doing Purple as well as that seems to be her fav. color but there is nothing like that sweet cotton candy pink is there

I’ve always loved hot pink. So I have a collection of hot pink ribbons and rickrack with orange or lime or yellow that I use a lot. But I have to agree with another reader that my favorite pink item is my pink ribbon pin I wear as a survivor of breast cancer.

Pink Lemonade Snapple is the best! I recently rediscovered this little gem and am so glad I did!

Pink-alicious post Brandy!! I love pink too, and I definitely went through a tomboy phase, but I also have ALWAYS loved my Barbies! And I have two girls, so I got to play Barbies as an adult . . . it doesn’t get better than that!
I love the Sabrina collection by Making Memories that they had at Michael’s stores! Oh, the pink and black combination gets me every time!
Gorgeous cards!

I was never a girly-girl and with red hair I was never one to wear pink. But the first thing that comes to my mind when I see the color is that big soft pink bubblegum we chewed as kids. The soft kind that was so big it filled our little mouths…not the hard as rocks gum with the comic.

Ribbon – pink ribbon. Any pink – any ribbon. I love it ALL!

Beautiful and inspiring cards. Wow…How cool to have a special day for just pink. I’m a purple girl myself, but I do like to use pink on girly girl projects. There are so many products out in the craft world, that I can’t just pick one. That is why I have way to many things, cuz I have to have this one and that one. LOL Thanks for a chance.

A whole day dedicated to pink? Ooooh, I loooove pink! I have 3 girls and there’s no way to avoid it!
-
My favorite pink is the Basic Grey Sugared collection. I love using pink in my papercraft projects. It coordinates well with many different colors.
-
Ooooooooooooh! I love pink too. However my dd is not a girly girl and refuses to wear pink–what’s a Mom to do? Great card examples and thanks for the pink combo prize package.
-
I love the raspberry Fizz range of products from PTI. My absolute fav!
-
My favorite pink things is everything my newly adopted daughter owns. She came to us loving pink about 3 years ago and had nothing that was pink to call her own. Now her room is pink, she has tons of pink toys, she lives in a pink world! I love watching her get excited over pink. She will love that today is national pink day!
-
Happy Pink Day! I think my favorite pink product is Jolee’s pink hot fix rhinestones – lovely way to add pink bling to a card. Those glittery adhesive pink letters in the prize package also are FAB! Thanks for the chance to win such a terrific prize package! Woo hoo!

I was never much of a pink girl – then I had my Tori – she is almost 14 and still loves pink – so needless to say most of the products we have are pink – the pink ones work better you know! We have a pink ‘X’, pink scissors, pink bags, pink glitter, pink pens, pink paper – I have a pink round it all, pink cropadile, pink trimmer …. I would have to say my most used is the pink trimmer – but my favorite is the pink cropadile!
Thanks for the fun!

I must confess that blue is my favorite color but pink comes in as a close second. My favorite pink item would be all of my pink shirts in my closet.
-
I have 2 boys and I still always gravitate towards the pinks… it is so funny to see my paper collection because the pink stack is way high but of course I don’t really use it for scrapbooking pages. Lately I have been really into cards, so it is slowly dwindling down. I can’t really choose what my favorite pink product is…. but if I HAVE to choose then I will say “my pink cropadile”, but my lovely paper is a close second.
Thanks for the chance to win.
