My Dad’s best advice was probably: “Forgive & forget and do it before bedtime so you don’t go to bed angry”, lol.

That old adage ‘measure twice, cut once’

  3. rosenay says:

Love the cards for Dad. Unfortunately my husband is the only Dad I have to honor now. The Pearl of Wisdom my father has left with me is “Smile”. All of my life he kept telling me to smile. I n ever understood it, and would give him a quick grin. Now I understand I believe what he meant. Smile even though you don’t feel like it. Before long, you will fee like smiling.

Wow—the best advice my daddy gave me was to get a degree I could use—I was an Applied Music major which meant when I graduated I could do NOTHING but go to graduate school and then hope someday to teach privately or at a University–he encouraged me to get a Music Education degree JUST IN CASE I needed it—my husband and I would have starved for the first 5 years of our marriage had I not had a teaching degree!! Great advice!

  8. Claude says:

When I was 7, I was walking on ice with my hands in my pockets. My dad said: “Never leave your hands in your pockets when you are walking on ice, you wont be able to break your fall if you slip.” I am 33 years-old now and I still remember that. I *never* walk on ice with my hands in my pockets! :)

My dad didn’t go to college but worked hard to send me and my three siblings. So, I would say that the best advice he ever gave me by his example, me was to stress the importance of a good education and saving for the future.

  12. Kelly says:

My Dad’s given me way too much good advice to list here, but I will share something he’s taught me, not with words, but with actions. “Never pass up a chance to tell people you love them”.

  24. Ramona West says:

My dad has been gone for several years now, but I still live in his beautiful foot steps. He was always giving and caring. He instilled deep in me that it is much more of a blessing to give rather than to receive. I am thinking of him all day today.

  25. laura j says:

What a wonderful prize package! My father doesn’t give a lot of advice but he leads by example…. he is a hard worker, very generous and has a lot of love for his family! Hope everyone has a great father’s day!

  26. Alma says:

The best advice my father ever gave me was “The early bird gets the worm” meaning don’t put off something you can do today. I still follow by that motto till today.

Thanks for a chance to win!

    Alma =)

  27. Lisa Falduto says:

Wow, there are so many things I have learned from my dad through the years. I could probably go on and on! But there is one saying that has helped me a great deal throughout the years and that would have to be “A Place for Everything and Everything in it’s place.” This saying throughout my life had helped to keep me organized. If I make sure I have places for all of my items (and believe me, this is a real challenge in my crafting room) then I always know where to put it when I am done. So everything has a place and is labeled! Now, if I could just get the rest of my family on that program………LOL. Apparently my use of the saying doesn’t make as much of an impact as it did to me coming from my dad!

  28. Laurie Olivas says:

The best advice my Dad ever gave me was to find something that I love to do and figure out a way to get paid for doing it. Now how do I get paid for paper crafting? The greatest lesson I ever learned was from losing him in an accident when he was much too young to go. I live every day like it may be the last one. If I love someone, I let them know.
    Thanks, Dad

  29. Meredith says:

My Father told me “Never put your name on anything you aren’t proud of”. These words still echo in my head today and my grades have alwys been high as a result. Thanks Dad (and thanks for the chance to win yummy paper!)

    ~Meredith

  30. Adrienne F says:

Remember who you belong to. In other words, live with integrity!

  31. Randi Barrett says:

My dad once said, “You’re going to need that money someday.”
    Love your papers!

  32. Chris S says:

With regards to work, it is your job to stay current and keep your self valued

  33. Carolyn King says:

This looks fabulous–cannot wait to get a peek!!!

My dad always told me to not spend my money before I make it. Good advice—still working on it though! :)

  34. The best advice my dad ever gave me was to always be true to myself and to follow my gut. He’s right and 99% of the time….so is my gut. I believe that heart and soul. My dad rocks!!!

Those are some very cool paper packs.

  35. cards4ever says:

My dad advice lately is to save your money. Which in this economy right now it is good advice.

  36. Donna Baker says:

I’ve spent 29 years without my dad and still miss him! Considering I was only 9 when he died, I don’t really have any advice to remember. However, he instilled in me a desire to always let those know how I feel and speak the language of love; the last few words I spoke to him the morning he died was that I hated him. I realized years later he didn’t believe me and I was able to forgive myself. I love DCWV stuff-thanks!!
