It’s back! Paper Crafts is proud to announce that its hugely popular gallery challenge Gallery Idol is back for season three. Last year after eight fierce weeks of competition, we named Nancy Cienfuegos from Orlando, Florida our season two winner. Now we’re ready to induct the next paper crafter extraordinaire! Are you ready to win?
Based on Fox’s hit TV show American Idol, our version will have readers submitting themed projects every week in hopes of becoming the grand prize winner. And just like our TV counterpart, online viewers will vote each week with only the best contestants with the best submissions moving forward in the competition to the next round.
The best part…the perks! Every time a contestant makes it through to the next round, she/he will each receive a fabulous prize package! Details on our exclusive sponsors and prizes will come at a later date. Remember folks, anything worth its weight is worth the wait!

Will you be our next Gallery Idol?
Starting today, we’ll be holding open auditions until Monday, June 22. The theme for open auditions will be birthday cards. To participate, post your original designs here with the title “Gallery Idol 2009” between now and June 22. The Paper Crafts editorial team will choose the top 20 finalists by Friday, June 26. On Monday, June 29, the top 20 finalists will be announced and the first round’s theme will be given. Before you decide to participate, please review the official Gallery Idol 2009 timeline to make sure you can meet the schedule requirements. All contestants from Gallery Idol’s 2008 competition are eligible to enter except for last’s year grand prize winner.
Let the competition begin!

Congratulations winners! I’m off to read the rules for Gallery Idol!!
Is this open to international entries please?
I have never entered a contest before, but Im excited to try this one.
Yes, Gallery Idol is open to international players! As long as you can meet the scheduled deadlines (which are all U.S. – Mountain Standard Time), we’d love to see your entries!
Kelly
Just want to clarify — it sounds like we can submit several entries for the initial qualifying round? I see that others have done it and I don’t see anything saying we can only submit one entry in the rules for the first round
This sounds like fun!
Thanks for having this!
Yes, you can submit multiple entries for the “Open Auditions” round. I hope everyone is feeling the birthday vibe because that’s what we want to see!

Can these be cards that were previously made? Do we have to have the card in hand so to speak or could it be a card that we have a digital only copy of?
this will be so much fun. would love to try out since its open to international.
I defintly like I’ll give this a try. It sounds like tons of fun. Good thing I’m going to the caft store tomorrow.
I’ve just uploaded my first card! My goodness there are some gorgeous cards in there!
