 CHA Trends by the Dozen

Cath Edvalson

As creative editor of Paper Crafts magazine, it’s my job to identify the trendiest trends at each show I attend, and even though the show was smaller this summer, I’m happy to report that there was absolutely no shortage of trends.

In fact, I’ve got a delicious dozen for you to drool over, so grab some napkins, for it’s going to be a sweet and tasty treat!

The bingo cards and fun mixes of patterns on the papers are fantastic!

  23. Elizabeth Williams says:

I am most fond of the scaled down products for card makers. I also think that a lot of current trends are a direct result of the current uncertain economy. They reflect a “safer” time in our lives.Since I’m a “vintage” hippie-the nostalgia is extremely comforting.

  24. AJ says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE our bingo card!

  25. Kristin Orth says:

Fruit and clouds are my favorites, but you’ve got lots of yummy goodness there! Oh, and scaled down products, that way I can collect MORE!

  39. Fiona says:

I think the smaller scale trend is great – shows that card making is on the up again!

    Fiona

  42. Jenn C. says:

My favorite trend is making my own! ;) but of the ones you listed I am liking the bingo/game aspect!

  43. Kathi says:

My comments are not showing up, so I’m trying once again, figuring that the third time is a charm.

Whereas I’m totally delighted about the smaller scale stuff for card makers, I’m totally thrilled and elated about the VINTAGE trend. IMHO Cameos & lace are part of that trend.

So, my final answer for the third time is: VINTAGE!!!

P.S. I like the clouds too. Works well with birds, butterflies, etc.

  44. laure says:

Without a doubt, the lacy trend is a winner in my book. It reminds me of the Victorian era and the beautiful handkerchiefs of my childhood with their lacy trims. Just gorgeous.

  45. Phoebe says:

Since “all of them” can’t be an answer I’d have to say the smaller items meant for card making. Not because I’m a card maker…but because I have really been drawn to lots of white space on my layouts and I love the smaller letters and details that I can add and still leave my white space. :) (Did that make sense??) LOL! Everything looks so tempting and gorgeous, though!!

  46. ninasays says:

Fruit and clouds are my favourites! Soo dreamy and cute.

Wow, love all the stuff – so glad to see the vintage trend continuing, and I’m absolutely drooling over the lace and cameo items. Oh, for an unlimited crafting budget, LOL!

I like the small scale products trend. I think the products would work nice with mini albums and cards.

Awesome items! I can’t wait to get my hands on Unity’s new bingo stamp!

  50. Tricia Dee says:

Vintage is definitely my fav, but I am intrigued by the Holiday lines with Yellow Pop and Clouds.
