I spent WCMD at an all-day crop, 9:15 AM – 7:00 PM! What a blast we had. Despite all the talking, laughing, and eating, we managed to get a lot of crafting done too.

Thanks for the chance to win this awesome prize package.

  2. Barbara says:

I celebrated WCMD in my hobby room creating birthday cards that I needed for this week. And once those were done it was time to start thinking about cards for boss’s day which is right around the corner too…..

What a great day! Then again, any day that I can just sit and make cards is a great day.

As much as I want to be celebrating World Card Making Day – all day long, I had time to make one card in my craft room. The rest of the time was spent with our new kitten.

i celebrated world card making day the whole week prior to the actual day because we celebrated my husband’ 40th birthday on saturday. even though i wasn’t stamping on the day i did get to share my creations with a couple of special guests at the party on saturday and they were thankful for their cards and for my “work” during the week.

  8. DawneC says:

I celebrated with 115 women! I was at a church Women’s Retreat… at a lodge on a lake. I made cards for my friends and passed them out. It was a very fun way to celebrate WCMD!!

  9. I spent the better part of the day blog hopping. The weekends are the only time I have to do this and I so I enjoyed the Moxie tour!! I love to see what cardmakers from other countries are using. I did manage to get 2 cards made!

  10. Mary H says:

I wasn’t able to celebrate yesterday because I was at an out-of-town wedding. But I’m reliving the excitement by blog-hopping tonight!

  11. Sherri says:

So I didn’t get to celebrate world cardmaking day until today (Sunday) due to family committments, but I made sure to find time to make a card today and use some of my favourite new supplies! …and now I’m enjoying looking at everyone else’s creations:)

  12. Happy WCMD! I made this a celebratory card making WEEKEND and made 5 cards. I wanted to make more, but I actually just ran out of steam… it’s like the day after a huge New Year’s bash! Thanks for all the fun.

WoW! what an amazing prize package – would so love to win that! I celebrated WCMD by surfing blogs of favorite crafters and saw many new blogs last night thanks to the WCMD tour! Wanted to make some cards with my 2 daughters but time just ran out.

  14. Rosie H. says:

Well, this weekend was very special to me because it was my 12 year wedding anniversary. So, my husband and I packed up and went out of town without the kids!!! When my husband was loading up the car, I came out with an additional bag. A big black one with rolling wheels….loaded to top with my Jenome mini stuffed in there….and a bag full of ribbons and bling! That’s right! He looked at me funny but didn’t mind at all. I told him it was WCMD and I had a few challenges to think about. So, I was able to spend time with my wonderful husband and I did sneak in some time to make card in there. So, over all, it was a wonderful weekend.

  15. SueB says:

Thanx for the amazin’ blog candy opp – I spent WCMD bowling in the Area XIII Special Olympics’ Bowling For Champions event – where my eldest son beat my game by 8 pins on the 2nd game and I beat him by 8 pins on the 1st game! I ended up making only one card, just before hitting the hay – here’s my card (this one’s a Thanksgiving card) – http://sueblondin.blogspot.com/2009/10/happy-wcmd.html

I’m STILL playing catch-up to try to catch a peek at all the blog updates!

  16. cynthia says:

I will be spending some time in my studio playing with some Christmas stamps. Getting some ideas together for our holiday cards. Maybe even start.

    Happy WCMD!
I did a few challenges over at SCS and did alittle or alot of blog surfin and chattin with cyber friends. Thanks for a chance at this awesome and fun giveaway.

  24. Pat says:

I started out doing some of the blog challenges for WCMD, but ended up doing my own thing and actually finished more cards than I set out to do. It was a highly productive day in the card making world…not so much in the housekeeping dept!

  25. Karen says:

I only thought of making cards, sooo sad! I had to work and then celebrate my sons birthday with his friends. But I had made the cutest treat bags and invites prior!

  26. I just searched blogs because I was home with the kids, and I really love my mommy and kiddos time.

  27. Beth says:

I made 20 cards to thank friends for participating in a fundraiser I held, then moved some furniture, and cleaned the house a bit.

I spent time in my craft room (formerly the rarely-used guest room) organizing recent embellishment purchases into my collection and helping my 4-year old daughter make cards for her friends.

  29. Elaine says:

OMG I almost forgot to enter to win this! I spent part of the day at home doing challenges, then I made homemade macaroni & cheese casserole to take to a stamping party – we stamped, had laughter and fun all evening long and shared new ideas, products and techniques with each other – the best kind of day ever!!

  30. Rona says:

Wow this is a lot of comments!! I wish I would have been able to “enjoy” World Card Making Day by being creative. I did make well over a hundred cards!!! but… I had to throw together bridal shower invites and wedding invitations (not done yet but I will be working on them all week!!) for my dd best friend (who is also like a daughter to me – she lived with us almost 2 years) She was supposed to get married NEXT October but “had” to move the wedding to NOVEMBER 7th this year!!! I found this out on Wednesday – she picked her colors on Friday and I spent all weekend finding what we needed and making cards!!! They are turning out really cute which is nothing short of a miracle because I never even thought we would find enough stuff on such short notice!! Today I am waiting for the last of the paper to come in (had to order online) and looking at all the fabulous CREATIVE things everyone else did over the weekend!!

  31. I am so glad I stopped back by to see this post – I spent the whole day making cards!!! it was glorious!!! :) and now I see I had better get going on my entries for the contest – back to my crafting table! ;)

  32. avonlea says:

I managed to take part in 3 challenges on, well, Sunday, since I had to work on Saturday. I’m happy with how they turned out! Yay! Thanks for sharing the 2008 cards; they still look very good!!!

  33. bzyPTmom says:

It was a great weekend! On WCMD, I first went to a Bazzil paper warehouse sale with another scrapping friend, picked up a bunch of cool papers and ribbons–for card making! I spent the afternoon on the computer, with my web friends at Visual designs by Chris and Paperthreads, both were celebrating anniversaries and had many contests and challenges and I entered a few of those. I also worked on my Christmas card design, I “design” in my pazzles software so today I can make some practice cuts. THanks for all of the inspiration!

  34. Jacque Haines says:

Congratulations on the huge success of your holiday! I worked on Halloween bags for my granddaughters to take to school.

  35. Z's Mommy says:

    Wow, what a great giveaway!
I hope everyone had a fantastic WCMD! I was busy all weekend, but I will be celebrating at an all weekend crop next week!
I hope everyone was able to make some fantastic creations!

  36. Brianna says:

I went to CKC-Glendale on Sat. with a friend. Much fun as always and I tried out the few items I bought before I rushed off to be with my sisters/daughters/mom and the few boy babies. Husbands went out of town camping with sons. Very fun!

  37. sharon says:

I’m so inspired by all the awesome talent at paper crafts mag.! My husband had to work late so, it’s just me working away in my craft room and I’m loving every second of it! I get so inspired just by the awesome smell of paper in my craft room. YUM!! Good luck everyone!

  38. Sam says:

Made lots of Christmas cards to send to our troops on WCMD!

  39. Jarie says:

  40. Melisa Hunter says:

I didn’t have much time for cardmaking on WCMD, what with soccer games, and other kids’ activities. I did manage to check out a couple of blogs. There’s always lots of eye candy around! I will be creating some cards this week, though and having lots of fun doing it!

  41. What A wonderful way to celebrate such a fun day! It is very inspiring to see all the WCMD Cards out there! Thanks for the opportunity t o win a great prize.

  42. Deanna Groke says:

Happy card making day. I actually had to work today, and didn’t get to make cards, but I pampered myself anyway, and got my latest garage sale fine moved to my craft room. Now I really have a lot of storage space. Oh don’t worry it will be filled up before you even know it. I will, however, save space for the nice gifts I just KNOW I am going to win.
    Thanks in advance–giggle

  43. Debbi Hockman says:

This is the first card-making day I have ever participated in (didn’t know about it b4!), and it was LOADS of fun! I entered in a few contests, and spent 2 days making cards–WOW! Of course, I also managed to fit in my son’s soccer game, laundry, dishes, cooking, and lots of other “home-management” stuff.
A massive THANKS to whomever created World Card Making Day! I enjoyed it ever so much!

  44. Heather Garl says:

Unfortunately our kids sports schedule did not allow time for crafting this weekend! So I’ll make up for crafting the next few days!
    What an incredible prize! Awesome!

  45. Caroline says:

Well….. I wish I had been making cards for WCMD, but my school scheduled homecoming and I spent 7 hours at the homecoming events, football game, crowning of the queen, meeting and talking with alumni, not to mention set-up and clean-up of the event. By the time I got home, I was one pooped puppy who fell asleep on the sofa!!!!!! Perhaps I’ll have better luck next year.

  46. Tricia S says:

Spent WCMD at the soccer field with my son in the cold rain then had to take a daughter to a birthday party…not too much time spent in the craft room but plenty of time for me to design our Christmas Cards…now to find the time to just sit & CREATE THEM!!!

  47. Shannon says:

I spent the day at a girlfriend’s house, making this year’s collection of Christmas cards!

  48. Jackie says:

I spent the day recovering from a cold -I slept a lot, but did manage to make a card – it sure felt good!

  49. Rose Ann says:

I celebrated the WCMD by making a Christmas card. Yes…only one, but it was very detailed. ;)

  50. Donna Kay V says:

I will be working in my dining room becasues I donot have a room (yet) working on removing my DH from his office so I can have my own craft room!!!! hoping on making many cards
