P. Kelly Smith

Welcome to Freebie Friday! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the promotion of A Card a Day thus far. Like Jennifer mentioned yesterday, you have until 5:00 p.m. (EST) today to order this fabulous new book and receive free shipping! Why not get a head start on your Christmas shopping!

Speaking of Christmas, it will be here before you know it. I’ve already spotted twinkle lights hanging from several houses in my neighborhood. My philosophy is if you can’t beat them, why not join them? Why not get your holiday cards made and out of the way?

If you need some inspiration for all those cards you intend to send out, A Card a Day has plenty of designs to get you in the ho-ho-ho spirit. The best part of this book…when it’s January and you’re stuck in your house waiting for Valentine’s Day to roll around, this book will keep you company and remind you that every day is the perfect day to create a handmade card.

If you’re one of those people who loves to make “Just Because” cards, A Card a Day is laid out just like a calendar – all the major holidays are covered, but there’s also plenty of designs for those days in between when you just want to say “hi” or “thinking of you”. In fact, Wendy Sue Anderson, the mastermind behind this book, designed the lead project for each of the 12 months. What do you think of her Fall Blessings Card? This is the lead card for November.

Have two birthdays and a thank you card you need to send out in November? These are the card designs for Nov. 1, 2 and 3.

Wanna try your luck at winning a free copy of A Card a Day? Leave a comment telling me what time of the day you feel the most creative. Morning? Mid-Afternoon? Night? Very Late Night/Early Morning? I’ll pick three random winners to receive a copy of Paper Crafts latest and greatest book. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Happy Friday!
Kelly

I would like to win the free copy of a card a day

I feel most creative between the hours of 2-4 Monday through Friday, 1:30 – 2:45 on Saturday’s, and I’m so drained by Sunday the creative juices have stopped flowing.

  2. Linda’s avatar

Hi girls….my favourite time to create is at night, after dinner and after the kitchen is cleaned up and I can grab a cup of tea, some choccie and relax:))

  3. Anna Bakunowicz’s avatar

My favorite time to create is at night. I’m a night owl.

  4. Brenda L.’s avatar

My most creative time to create is between 8:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. I am a late nighter.

  5. Lorna’s avatar

I’m a late night crafter. Actually, I’m more of a last minute crafter. When I need it, I wait till the very last minute and then get it done. I work better under pressure (or what I like to call – very unorganized!).

  6. Stephi D.’s avatar

I seem to be most creative mid morning. It’s a good time for me to play.

  7. Roxana’s avatar

I tend to get my second wind late at night and want to get started. That’s when the kids are sleeping and the house is the quietest :)

  8. veera’s avatar

I’m most creative during the night. :) What a great book!!

  9. Cammie’s avatar

What a great book! I do most of my creating mid-morning or late afternoon, but the ideas are percolating at any time.

  10. Brooke’s avatar

I’ve actually been struggling with my most creative time of day lately. I’m an early morning crafter and absolutely hopeless at night. Being a Mum of a little one I only get time to craft at night. Help!!

  11. Kim Marie Leach’s avatar

I am most creative on sunny bright mornings and sunny bright afternoons, just before the sun sets! Whenever it is grey and gloomy , it almost seems like too much work to “get everything out” :)

  12. Judy’s avatar

I love your magazine and have subscribed for several years. I can’t say that I have a particular time of day when I feel most creative. My craft space is limited and I have to share it with my daughter, so sometimes it seems like more work to get ready to scrap then it is worth. Someday I will have my very own space.

  13. Carol M.’s avatar

My creative thoughts strick at all different times. However, my ability to sit down at that very moment and create is usually not then. But I “try” to make my cards in the mornings. The other times I jot down my ideas!!

  14. Melinda Wilson’s avatar

I never have a specific time that I am most creative – it just seems to show up when I should be doing housework – LOL!

  15. syeda’s avatar

I feel most creative when my little one is asleep. So, usually it’s early-morning and late night. Love to win “A copy of card a day.”Does this books have a papercrafting kit that will go along with this book? that would be so cool!!

  16. Andrea’s avatar

I create best early in the morning or late at night . . . that’s when I have the least amount of distractions!!

  17. Char- D’s avatar

Late night for me, when all is quite.

  18. rap’s avatar

I’m most creative late afternoon or early evening.

  19. Julia B.’s avatar

I think I am most creative in the evening. After the days work is done and I am relaxing and thinking of fun things to do.

  20. Jenink’s avatar

I would prefer to create in the morning, but I end up doing it all in the evening b/c that is when the kids are asleep!

  21. Lynda aka arlsmom’s avatar

Fantastic cards!!! I think I create best when the kids leave me alone…tee hee…

I’m most creative late at night because that’s after my kids and hubby have gone to bed and the house is quiet!

  23. Rhonda Zamora’s avatar

I feel most creative in the morning, although I sometimes get “caught up” and suddenly it is time to make dinner.

  24. cjs’s avatar

No particular time of day – but it is usually when I have most of my ‘have to do’ things crossed off my list (so it really depends on the day).

  25. Yvette F.’s avatar

This card a day looks like a great source of inspiration. I’m a late night owl for sure!

  26. Melanie C’s avatar

I’m most creative at night after the kids have gone to sleep.

This book looks fantastic….I so need it :)

  27. Golda’s avatar

I’m most creative late morning after I’ve gotten all my work done and have a minute to slow down.

  28. Angella Crockett’s avatar

I LOVE mornings!! I work best when rested and refreshed…. but because of this little thing called a J.O.B., I have to settle for stamping in the evenings. Look out on Saturday morning tho!!!!

  29. Prairie Girl’s avatar

I feel most creative in the afternoon or evening! You could say I’m a ‘night’ person. Thanks for the sneak peeks and this chance!

  30. Tanya’s avatar

I find that I am most creative at night. Even if it has been a rough, exhausting day, I feel the need to be creative after the kids have been tucked into bed. Even if it is something as simple as matting a few photos for a page, I like to have this creative outlet.

  31. Janet Zeppa’s avatar

I feel most creative in the morning……after my coffee of course!

I work better at night, when the house is quiet!

  34. veronica b.’s avatar

it doesn’t matter what time of the day it is. for me, it’s more like i’d better be ready whenever the creative mood strikes because then anytime of the day or night is good for me!

  35. Alisha S.’s avatar

Usually, in the afternoon in the evening and sometimes whenever the mood strikes me. But, once I get in the zone…forget about it LOL. Its great because my husband will go down into his studio and play his guitars and record. So, it works out beautifully :-)

  36. Donna VW’s avatar

I am most creative when I am most awake, so that can vary depending on many factors. If I get a nap I like to stay up late and create while everyone else in the house is asleep.

  37. katemeri’s avatar

I don’t consider myself a morning person. I usually wake up between 6-7 AM and snuggle on the couch with my dog while consuming two large mugs of coffee before I become human. But… lately my most creative time of the day is first thing in the morning. I wake up with ideas and barely get one cup of coffee in because it gets cold while I’m playing with paper. Thanks fo the opportunity to win this awesome book!

  38. Marsha’s avatar

I love to be in my stamp room in late afternoon but then I end up spending way too many hours there. I think that is my best time to be creative. Usually I end up making cards in the evening, though.

  39. Wendy’s avatar

    great idea

  40. Dee Tollaksen’s avatar

Very first thing in the morning, with steaming coffee and the fresh sun.

  41. Heather Jensen’s avatar

I think my most creative time is in the evening. I feel like I should be outside or enjoying time with my son during the day. I can completely concentrate and do my best work at night.

  42. Michelle P’s avatar

My creative mind kicks in as soon as my kiddos are asleep. Which is why I stay up waaay too late!

These cards are awesome! I feel most creative at night… sometimes… late night! Thanks for the chance to win! :)

  44. Sarah-Jane Kale'’s avatar

Beautiful cards, and what a gorgeous book. My fave time to create is night time. The kiddies are in bed and it’s nice and quiet.

    xx Sarah

  45. Toni Storie’s avatar

I am certainly most creative when my little one is sleeping. That is usually between 1pm and 3pm and after 9pm. If I had to choose one of those times, I would choose after 9pm. I guess that means that I am most creative in the evening!

  46. Marcy H’s avatar

    These cards are gorgeous!!!

I seem to be most creative late at night!!! It’s quiet in the house..
