Welcome to Black Freebie Friday! I hope everyone had a fabulous feast yesterday and was able to find a few minutes to reflect and “give thanks”.
While many of you will be dressing your Christmas tree today, I’m sure there’s just as many who will be starting their day a tad bit earlier than the rest of us. For those of you who are braving the crowds for all the Black Friday sales, I tip my hat to you. I am most definitely NOT a morning person. Unless you refer to “morning” as 12 a.m.!
Since I know many of you get your creative mojo in wee hours of the night, I know how precious those few uninterrupted hours can be. And since we’re entering the busiest time of the year, we all need to make the most of our creative time. After all, Christmas is less than a month away!
Which is why I love our Gift Trios feature in our November/December issue. If you’re looking to save time and supplies, why not make a matching tag, bag and card? Incorporate the same product into three different projects and take the guesswork out of the equation.

Paper Crafts Pro Wendy Johnson's Poinsettia Trio appeared in our November/December issue.
I love how perfectly these projects coordinate with one another. Who wouldn’t love to receive these gems for the holidays? If you’d like to download the pattern for Wendy’s cute box, click HERE.
In honor of Black Friday, I’ve got two prize packages that you don’t even have to leave the house to fight over! Leave a comment telling me if you plan on shopping ’til you drop today or taking it easy and enjoying the long weekend. I’ll pick two winners to receive a copy of Holidays Cards & More, Vol. 4 and Making Memories Flowers stamp set. (I can totally see these stamps used as snowflakes, wreaths, poinsettia flowers, etc!) All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Two lucky winners will each take home these prize package!
Happy Black Friday!
Kelly

I think we’re getting a tree today…the first dry day so far! But your specials and giveaway make my day! Thanks so much!
I am working today, so no shopping for me!!! Thanks for the chance to win!
My family is out shopping, I’m not–still in jammies having just put away all the silverware, dishes, washed tablecloths from yesterday’s holiday. We plan to start decorating for Christmas today, I also need to finish my Christmas cards! Just having some relaxing time–we all need that!
Black Friday scares me too badly to get out there. I finished up two quilt tops and got everything ready to take out to be quilted. Whew!! Next project to complete by Monday are my Christmas cards. Plan on doing a simple and easy card production line.
no shopping today!! too crazy out there, plus i have to work!
I thought about shopping today, then I decided I would rather spend a few extra $ and avoid the hassle! Thanks for a chance to win!
No crowd fighting for me……………….I do most of my shopping online and today I intend to spend it in my craft room. At least a few hours. Then I may drag out the Christmas decorations and get the house all glitzed up for Christmas. I won’t get my tree until Saturday. That is our tradition; The Saturday after Thanksgiving we go cut our tree and then Sunday the grands come and decorate it. Love this time of year!
was out at 6 am with the hubby and 5 year old before work. Oly went to walmart but scored big. Now it just at home relaxing and resting up for the decorating fun.
I went to one store this morning and was shocked that only about 20 people were there. I got a great deal but was sad that no one else was shopping! I’m still ready to go back to bed!
I am doing a bit of online shopping, although I did manage to stop in my LSS to get some goodies. No 5am shopping for me though
I will definetly not be doing any shopping on black Friday–too chaotic for me! I am going to be home relaxing with friends and family.
Shopping at all these days makes me drop because i’m preggo! My mother in law and I did get up at 4am to do some shopping for my 3 year old….I felt like I got a good deal! It is becoming tradition for the two of us and I honestly enjoy it!
no shopping for me in the stores. car is broken and hubby is at work with the other car until tomorrow. oh well maybe next year. I do love bargains.
No shopping today – just cardmaking! I’m making our Christmas cards with my 13 year old daughter today. Later this weekend we’ll be getting out all the Christmas decorations and putting them up with the rest of the family. After that is done I’ll be focusing on making gift items for giving this year – lots of ideas but only 35 more days to get them done!!!
even though I live close to the border here in Canada I will be spending the day making cards….watching the snowflakes…listening to Christmas music ….bliss
My daughters and I got up around 4 am and hit the town….DH is now running in the red on Black Friday. NOT!! lol
DH and I went Christmas shopping before the “rush”. So we just went to town today to shop and have fun. I enjoy the “hustle and bustle” of the holiday season.
P.S. I’m not an early bird either…..but I manage to get up early at least once a year. I’m sure paying for it now!
I got up around 3 am this morning and did my shopping, got most of it done and might go back out tomorrow.
I wouldn’t dream of shopping today! I have a disability and unless I could wait in line sitting down, forget it! On top of that 3 and 4 am are hours when i go to bed, NOT when I get up.
Shop shop shop!! I already did, I’m back and exhausted. Not sure if I got the best deals but I had a blast with the girls!
No madness for me, nice and easy relaxing day and weekend!
There is absolutely no way you will get me near a store today. I went out the nursing home to spend a few hours with my 102 year old grandmother. That’s about as far as I went, and I ran into traffic because of people waiting to get into the local malls.

I headed to Target this morning with half the city. It was crazy but fun!
Well, I braved the stores, but waited until after lunch so the crowds weren’t too crazy. I found me an Ott light for 50% off and Copic markers for 30% off. I’m happy.
I live in Canada so we don’t have a Black Friday. Our big shopping day is actually Boxing Day, although for the last couple of years the sales have been just as good before Christmas as after… hope everyone down south had a great Thanksgiving!
I did some specialty shopping at some small boutiques but didn’t buy a thing. No way am I brave enough to hit the malls. Those days are over.
My shopping was done in my pajamas, after I slept in late and enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee. Thank goodness for online shopping!
i’m definitely taking it easy today and enjoying the loooooong weekend!
I decided to take two classes at my lss so I wouldn’t be tempted to get out and shop. It has been a much easier and relaxing day.
Would love to win the giveaways. Thanks for offering such a great giveaway today.
No shopping till I drop. Just one stop – then move on to making presents.

no black friday shopping for me even though i am in canada many stores are offering black friday specials however i was working all day and am crafting all night! love it!
Sign me up, these examples ARE DARLING…
NO predawn shopping! I might sneak out tonight after my daughter is in bed & my husband is home- but I may just pass out too! Could go either way at this point! We did get our tree assembled- not decorated yet, and the outside lights are up- pretty productive day! thanks for the chance at the goodies!
We cut down our tree today, and I started decorating the house for the holidays, but I did not go near the malls! The only shopping I did was online, which was quite productive!
I did shop a little..got some fabulous papers from Michaels on thanksgiving day and Adobe Photoshop for the digi images and I plan to shop a little more online for few more craft goodies…
thanks for the chance to win..
Ok, so here’s the deal… I was NOT going to go out today, but at the last minute I decided to go to Kohls around 10am. Why I though it was a good idea I don’t know. I walked around and then found the line. It was all the way to the back of the store. Needless to say, I left. Why, oh, why did I go out?
Eh, oh well. It was a good day.

I did a little shopping but use this time every year to get Christmas decoratins up. My shopping is 99% done. Hooray!
Hi and Happy Friday to all! I’m not going out of the house today! Staying in and shopping online if I find something worth buying. Looking mainly for ideas and I think a subscription is sounding really good for my “crafty” friends. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I DID plan on shopping until I dropped today–however, my alarm didn’t go off, and I was late! YIKES! No fun—but we ended up just shopping until noon:)
I would rather stay in and relax all day….eat leftovers…..take a nap…..eat leftovers….take a nap…..you get the idea!
The Flamingo flew out of bed at 3:30 am and winged her way to Walmart for the Cricut Expression. Arriving at the store at 4:30 am I was able to round up a sleek, black model with not a minute to spare as there were only three more left.
Another half hour of shopping was followed by a half hour of standing in line. I arrived home by 6 am and was out the door for round two from 8:15 to 11:15. The rest of the day hasn’t been too productive, with just one Christmas card added to the growing pile of creations today!
Yes!!! We did go shopping but not until 8:30am so it was not CRAZY
And amazingly there were still plenty of the “doorstoppers” available. It was fun to be out with the girls and saving a bit of money
I shopped till I dropped but didn’t start until 7am and mostly spent my brother’s money. He’s lives out of the country and wanted me to get a bunch of stuff for him.
Stayed home and got caught up on all of my blurfing! So many blogs….so little time
It was a great day!
I’m broke, so I’m staying home…sob sob sob
I’m definitely not braving the shopping today. Any shopping I do will be online. Hate crowds.
I did not leave the house all day! I put up new shelves in my craft room and spent the rest of the day putting things away and getting it organized. It looks soooo good and I am ready to go scrap.
Nope, no shopping for me today! Slept in and have been relaxing all day! I need it after cooking and cleaning!
Oh man, we got up real early and drove down from Toronto this morning. And now, I’m just about ready to drop… and I haven’t even gotten any Christmas presents for people yet. Boy am I in trouble!
Bah humbug! I had to work, no shopping, no staying at home eating left overs! I am scrooge reincarnated!
