Freebie Friday – Make a Card a Day!

Freebie Friday Make a Card a Day!

P. Kelly Smith

Welcome to Freebie Friday! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the promotion of A Card a Day thus far. Like Jennifer mentioned yesterday, you have until 5:00 p.m. (EST) today to order this fabulous new book and receive free shipping! Why not get a head start on your Christmas shopping!

Speaking of Christmas, it will be here before you know it. I’ve already spotted twinkle lights hanging from several houses in my neighborhood. My philosophy is if you can’t beat them, why not join them? Why not get your holiday cards made and out of the way?

If you need some inspiration for all those cards you intend to send out, A Card a Day has plenty of designs to get you in the ho-ho-ho spirit. The best part of this book…when it’s January and you’re stuck in your house waiting for Valentine’s Day to roll around, this book will keep you company and remind you that every day is the perfect day to create a handmade card.

If you’re one of those people who loves to make “Just Because” cards, A Card a Day is laid out just like a calendar – all the major holidays are covered, but there’s also plenty of designs for those days in between when you just want to say “hi” or “thinking of you”. In fact, Wendy Sue Anderson, the mastermind behind this book, designed the lead project for each of the 12 months. What do you think of her Fall Blessings Card? This is the lead card for November.

  1. Wanda H says:

Usually my most creative time is first thing in the morning but a deadline can get me motivated any time of the day. Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  2. Lisa A. says:

I don’t a specific time because I usually try to squeeze it in whenever I can… mainly on the weekends.

  3. Carol McPherson says:

I’m the most creative in mid-afternoon with morning a close second. I tend to “fade out” early in the evening.

  4. Jennifer Collier says:

My creative juices flow the most after my two young children are in bed asleep. It is then that I can escape to my craft area and create to my heart’s content. Winning this book would make that time even more productive!

  5. karen q says:

I prefer crafting in the early mornings on the weekends. During the week I work full time so I usually don’t feel very creative by the time work is over. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  6. laura j says:

Great cards! I’m definitely more creative in the mornings! I love to work in “natural” light ….so much easier when trying to match up papers and embellishments!

  7. Judy T says:

This is such a cool book! Thanks for the opportunity to win one.

  8. Stacy says:

I find I’m most creative when I’m under pressure.

  9. Elizabeth C says:

WOW, what a great new book. I am just starting to get into making cards.

  10. I love the idea of this book! I’ve been thinking about doing a challenge like this on my blog…30 cards in 30 days! This book would definitely help with inspiration!!

  11. Cheryl says:

I am most creative in the middle of the day. Of course when the pressure it put on to complete a certain project that helps to.

  12. denali says:

Late at night when I’m supposed to be sleeping! :)

  13. Gloria says:

I get my mojo working early in the AM, it’s just me and the birds (maybe even before the birds). I love to have a copy this book….since I love to make all different kinds of cards.

    Thanks

  14. nina says:

What a great publication! I think I get my best work done at night but these days I’m too tired from running around after my kids that I don’t really do any crafting at night. So the only time I get is afternoon, which is better light-wise… and those afternoons seem to be far & few between!

  15. Kristin says:

I seem to get my second wind — and the creative bug — LATE at night, which sometimes keeps me up until the sun’s about to rise. This book looks fabulous! Thanks for the opportunity to win one!

  16. Sue Turner says:

I’m very curious about this book! Inspiration can be hard to find, but there are also times I’m in the mood to make a card and have to think of a reason! As far as time of day, there’s not one special time that works more than another, but there are definitely days I wish I had no other responsibilities so I could ‘create’ all day!

  17. Tiffany says:

I feel most creative in the evening/late at night when the kids have gone to bed and I can pull out my stuff all over the table and create. I have a 2 year old who LOVES to help :)

  18. Christine Villacarlos says:

i feel most creative at night :) thanks for the chance!

Early, early morning i smy best time for crafting…fresh start after a good night’s sleep…that book is awesome – hope I win!

  25. Alyssa S says:

I don’t usually get time to craft unless it’s on days off. The bug usually hits me around the rugrat’s naptime ;)

  27. Wendy says:

Very early morning are my most creative times.

  28. Elaine R says:

It’s so weird. I have the most IDEAS in the afternoon, but I feel that I am most ready to create in the evening. I just do my best work at this time! I love that feeling I get when I know I have a good idea and am ready to MAKE!

    Elaine R.
    Indiana

  29. Christine says:

I’m a night owl so I’m most creative from about 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. The world is quiet and I get to create!

    Blessings,
    Christine

I could scrapbook all day long.!

  31. Maile Belles says:

I am usually most creative at night. Especially after I have gone to bed, then my mind starts to wonder.

  32. Susan Taitague says:

Love the idea of this book! I want it!

  33. Susan Taitague says:

Love the idea of this book! I want it! I would use it at night when I feel the craftiest!

  34. If I could I’d create 24-7! You never know when inspiration is gonna strike, but this new book certainly will help;)

  35. Sandra says:

You mean people have choices? I don’t even get to attempt until after the kids are in bed …. so I would say late night!
    Sandra

  36. procrastiscrapper says:

My most creative moments are right before I lay my head on my pillow :) I like to look in at all my scrapbook supplies before I go to sleep (a guilty pleasure) and then I start brainstorming which makes me get up and play around with my supplies organizing and laying things out so I can make a card or finish a scrapbook page.

I usually finish my thoughts the next night when I get dinner all dones and my boys are in bed!

  37. Darlene DeRyke says:

My creativity is usually best mid-morning to early afternoon. I tend to do “chores” first and then retreat to my crafting room. The book would certainly aid in the creativity process.

  38. savannah O'Gwynn says:

I am usually creative when I am alone….music on….lots of time in the world to think and create:)

  39. Cynthia B. says:

Dang, these cards are awesome! I feel most creative at night, after my kids have gone to bed…it’s nice and quiet, and there is a bit of pressure to “get ‘er done” because of the late hour, so it pushes me along.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I’d have to say late at night…

  43. Kelly Marie says:

I feel the most creative at night. I can’t help it! I think I should just become nocturnal!

  44. Susan C. says:

I think I’m most creatie in the late afternoons and at night. This book looks great! =)

  45. Alberta says:

Unfortunately for me, I’m most creative late at night when I should be going to bed because I have to go to work in the morning.

  46. Annalisa says:

I don’t really have a particular time where I am most creative. But I would have to say late morning, afternoon and during the night because I am not a morning person. The only way I am creating something early in the morning is if I have coffee beside me while I am creating cards.

  47. Wendy in MD says:

I’m most creative in the evening! Can’t wait to see this book!

  48. Pamm says:

Usually it is at 2:00 am! I sometimes have a difficult time sleeping, so I just haul my insomniac self out of bed(leaving behind my snoring husband!!!) and go “color”!

Whenever I have time and my house is clean.
