Welcome to Freebie Friday and 2010! I hope all of you are enjoying the first day of this brand new year. I thought I would ask the Paper Crafts editors and Go-to Gals what they’re looking forward to the most in 2010.
From family vacations to a first-time mama to puppy school graduations, all of us at Paper Crafts are also looking forward to another year of inspiring publications and, of course, the opportunity to connect with all of you. Take it away, Jennifer!
Jennifer Schaerer - After a few years of chaos and rollercoaster livelihood, I’m looking forward to the relative calm that 2010 promises to bring. We don’t have any milestone birthdays or other occasions, no major travel plans, and our house project list isn’t very long. Ahhhhhhh. I’m feeling better already!
Brandy Jesperson - I’m looking forward to being a first-time mama. I’m envisioning a perfect baby who sleeps through the nights and loves to give cuddles. You might want to check back with me in a few months when reality has set in. I know I’ll love my son with all my heart, but I also know he’s his mother’s son, so he’ll probably have a stubborn streak in him!
Cath Edvalson – I’m looking forward to a romantic week in Key West with my husband. We’re going in February to ward off the winter blues. I’ll drink to that!
P. Kelly Smith – I’m looking forward to our family reunion this summer, which will be held on a cruise ship! Thanks to Grandma Smith for her generosity in bringing 25 people together!
Susan R. Opel – On July 10, 2010, I’ll be singing in the wedding of one of my former students in Indiana. I’m so honored that she asked!
Teri Anderson – I’m looking forward to my puppy and I graduating from puppy training school in February. He currently is living up to the name “Marley” with all his mischief.
Maren Benedict – I’m looking forward to traveling to Italy with my husband in late spring/early summer. This will be only our fourth trip without kids in over 14 years, so it’s very well deserved!
Kim Hughes - I’m looking forward to taking a couple of mini vacations that will revolve around the CKC locations that I will be teaching at for Paper Crafts. I’m anxious to see my brother and his family, and meeting so many wonderful new people along the way who love the paper crafting industry as much as I do.
Kim Kesti – Since this year marks our 25th wedding anniversary, I’m looking forward to a little getaway with just Keith and me! Imagine that. We don’t have reservations yet – any ideas out there for a fabulous (but not super expensive) stateside getaway?
Betsy Veldman – I’m looking forward to a diaper-free 2010 (being slightly optimistic here…) and an end to the terrible two’s! I’m also looking forward to traveling a bit for Paper Crafts and hopefully taking another family vacation this summer — destination to be determined!
Jessica Witty – I’m looking forward to more SPACE! 2010 looks to be the year that this Party of 5 will find a new home. The thought of our 8-month-old finally able to sleep in a room other than our closet makes me very happy!

Just like Jennifer Schaerer I am looking forward to a calm and less chaotic year. Maybe re-do the deck railings, expand the garden, have a few friends over for BBQ and paper crafting!!

I am looking forward to being a good example to those around me. Giving a smile to a stranger who seems to be having a bad day (a smile is contagious). Being more patient is another way I can show others how to just slow down and enjoy life. Also looking forward to being thankful everyday for those people who make my life special. This past year was difficult for so many. My husband took two pay cuts, but still has a job. We realized this Christmas how important the littlest of things are. Not that the presents were smaller, but the gifts were larger in the form of family and just having each other. Happy New Year to you all. Paper Crafts gives me something to look forward to each time I receive anew issue!
I’m looking forward to spending time with our granddaughter, and to her possibly having a brother or sister this year!
I am really looking forward to a family trip to visit friends in Colorado. Since all of our extended family lives on the East Coast, and since we live in the Midwest, our children have never travelled anywhere but East. I can’t wait to show them how beautiful the country is when we head “the other direction” for a change.
I’m looking forward to attending a wedding in Maui! Can’t wait!
I’m definitely looking forward to selling this house and moving on to a new adventure! With 7 moves in 16 years, I ought to be more practiced at this!
I am looking forward to finding a new part time job (hopefully) this year. Also attending our first 50th birthday party (a close friend) in a few weeks.

Hmmm…time with our married kids and mastering Photoshop so I can craft with digital brushes.
I’m looking forward to everything about 2010 and it’s off to a wonderful start. I’m excited to spend more quality time with my sons and husband. I plan to pull back a bit on the time I spend volunteering and focus on my family since I lacked some balance in this area last year. I would like to spend less time shopping for craft supplies and actually make something! There’s so much more but I’ll stick with these for now.

I’m looking forward to taking different classes. I changed my major. Maybe I’ll be more motivated to study now….
I’m looking forward to spending time with my husband;) I also want to spend more time making things for myself–I know that is kind of selfish–but I never make anything for myself….and this way I can learn how to use some of my sewing machines (to master all three would be nice!).

A new year is always a nice, new, fresh start. I’m just looking forward to enjoying my family. My kids are growing up and I can’t say that I always like that thought, so I just want to enjoy them more and more.
Looking forward to moving back to my hometown. After spending 7 years in Los Angeles, I am getting ready to return to France, where I’m from.

I am looking forward to more crafting time. I also want to focus on laying in supplies rather than more stamps stamps stamps – particularly Papertrey papers, buttons, ink, and ribbon! Now that I have a steadier income, maybe I’ll be able to act on some of my wishlists!

I’m looking forward to becoming a grandma to a little girl due Feb. 1st. I’m excited about the journey that lies ahead with her.
I am most looking forward to a more relaxing year than 2009 when we got married! LOL… but, seriously, I may get the chance to travel to Montreal and Boston with my husband (I can play while he works, eh?!?) this year! I’ve never been to either place!
More time being with crafting friends and crafting more. Try out for design team. Taking any type of vacation, Donate time or cards for causes. Hope to see a better world to live in!

I am trying to be positive and look forward to the fact that this is the year my oldest will start kindergarten and my youngest starts preschool. Part of me os so sad, but I want them to be excited so I am trying to start early and get excited too
I’m looking forward to better health for my husband. He’s finally gotten into a program that offers him free health care. Don’t get too excited out there, it’s taken years to get this. He’s been heading downhill for some time and I worry daily that he will not be with me any longer. He is truly the love of my life (with paper crafting 2nd). So wish him (us) well for 2010, and let’s hope 2010 is a VERY good year at our home!!
I will be concentrating my time on my 1 year old babyboy. He has been resisting me lately and I blame myself for not attending to him enough. Hope 2010 will be as good as 2009.
