Welcome to Freebie Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling so inspired after our fun Card Creations: Start to Finish Week. I loved learning more about our three cover girls and seeing the amazing things they did with the front and inside of their cards.
I’ve never been one to paper craft the inside of my cards (I’m lucky if the front gets completed!). But after this inspiring week, I think I might give it a try. There’s just so many design possibilities…not to mention personalizing the inside for each and every recipient.
I’m feeling a little silly right now, so I thought I would tie in yesterday’s National Dress Up Your Pet Day (sorry to perpetuate this holiday, Cath!) and our new special issue Card Creations: Start to Finish, Vol. 2. Go with me here…
Below are pictures of my dog Lexus (gray one) and my sister’s dog Charlie (brown one). These Italian Greyhound cuties met for the first time over the holidays. We affectionately call them “Sweet and Sour”. Charlie is sweet, although a little dim, and Lexus is the smart and sometimes sour pup. They didn’t especially care for one another, but my photographer sister did manage to arrange a little photo shoot. Here’s some shots she captured:

Picture #2

Picture #3
Since my sister has been sick lately, I’d like to send her a get well card featuring Sweet and Sour on the front. This is where I need your help. Judging from their expressions, what should my inside sentiment be? Pick your favorite image (#1, #2 or #3) and leave a comment telling me your best sentiment. The three people who come up with the most creative, original and/or humorous sentiments will each receive a copy of Card Creations: Start to Finish, Vol. 2. Sound like fun? All comments must be received by midnight (MST) on Sunday, Jan. 17.

Three winners will take home a copy of this special issue!
Happy Friday!
Kelly
P.S. Cath is wrapping up Card Creations: Start to Finish Week on Moxie Fab World today. Hop on over to see what fun she has in store!

Pict#2- Front “Heard you were sick”
Inside- “Hope you feel better, Dog-gonit”
I’d pick number 3 and it would say “WHAT…You’re SICK????? Well doggone it….get better soon!”
tee hee
I love all the pictures, they are such adorable dogs. I think I’d go with picture # 3 though…on the outside I’d say…
“You’re too sweet to be feeling sour” and on it inside just something generic like “get well soon” or “thinking of you” or to go with the dog theme, “sorry you’re having a ruff time”
I hope your sister gets better soon!
Tanya
Picture #2. We hope you feel better soon. But I like the “ruff day?” one better.
I LOVE those photos!
Those doggies are too “doggone” cute.
I would pick either photo 2 or 3, and the sentiment would say:
“We heard life was ruff and you were feeling under the weather…”
“Get well soon, or we will come over and lick you to death.”
Love all of the “dog-gone”, “Ruff” and doggie references.
-or-
Sending Lexus and Charlie your way with lots of sniffs, licks and hugs!
Make pic 2 the full front of the card with ‘Sorry you’re feeling so doggone bad!’ typed in the black part of the pic in white in a cute cheerful font. Inside: Heel soon…
I love photo #2. Inside could say: ‘Here’s lookin’ at you and wishing you well’. or….’would a walk help you feel better? let’s go’.
adorable puppies!!!!!
I say #2…Heard you are under the weather! Hope you are feeling better! Or
#1 Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. Wish I could offer you my blanket but Charlie back there stole it!
I pick #2 photo w/ “Get Well Soon Sis-Boy we had them fooled We don’t like each other. Silly humans”
Picture #2 – “Having a friend when your ill makes being ill easier.”
#2 – Here’s looking at you, kid. Hope you are feeling up to “playing again”.
Picture #2
Outside – Get well soon
Inside – We’re waiting to play with you
pic #1-
outside:
I ‘heard’ you were feeling a little under the weather….
inside:
and it wasn’t from a little birdie.
Hope you’re feeling less ruff soon!
Pic #2 is my favorite
Front: Above each dog there should be a thought bubble … both saying
I’m Sweet … He’s Sour!
Inside: Being sick is “ruff”… would a squeaker toy help?
Picture #2: Doggone it, we’re down in the dumps because you’re not feeling well! Inside: Get well soon, and we’ll take you for walkies!
Picture #2:
Front:
We don’t want to wait ‘too long’ for you to get better.
Inside:
Handle every stressful situation like a ‘dog’.
If you can’t eat it or play with it -
Just ‘pee’ on it and walk away!
I would choose #2 and say…By your side…and on the inside say: I’m right here if you need anything.
Picture #2 is adorable and those faces just say “Doggone it……we’re sorry your sick”.
However Picture #1 has me laughing. I can hear the gray one say “I am staying over here……..So I don’t catch your germs”.
Using picture #3 with the phrase “Perk Up”
#2 – We hope your nose is fresh and wet again soon. Sending you get well wishes.
Hmmm… How ’bout:
“I guess it could be worse… She could have put us in matching sweaters!”
Outside of card: Sour stomach?…….
Inside of card: Just eat something Sweet!!!
#3 – Alert and ready to scrapbook.
I love #2 – their expressions are so anticipatory!
“Feeling ruff? Hoping you perk up soon!”
I would go with pic # 3
Sentiment on front: Feeling sick as a dog?
Inside of card: Sit…stay…HEAL!
Hope your sister is feeling better soon.
Have a great weekend,
Ivanka
#1 Outside: Speech bubble over Lexus’ head: “What’s the problem?”
Inside: “She’s feeling RUFF because her human is sick. . . Hope she HEALS soon!”
#3 – We have perky ears. Hope your ears are perky soon!
#1 Want to sleep with us? We made room!
#2 oooh – you’re sick. Want company in that big bed of yours?
#3 Don’t worry. We will watch her take her medicine.
P.S. The dogs are beautiful!
Photo #3–Get better soon! We can only be good for so long…
Picture #2. Inside sentiment – Life’s no fun when you are sick.
Feel better soon.
Picture #1 You think you feel bad?
Look ma, no paw!!
(Italian greyhounds are very competitive, apparently, if they need to one-up their mom!)
#2…Sentiment: “Who Me? Yes You. Feel better soon!”
Love these pics! Beautiful dogs!
I choose picture #2
Saying “We are a little surprised to hear you were sick. Hope you feel better soon.”
Okay, here’s my cheesy idea….I pick picture #2. Sentiment to say something like:
We’re so blue without you.
Get well soon.
They are such cute doggies! I can’t believe these shots when they didn’t really get along anyway.
With #2
Inside
We’re laying here waiting…
Outside
…for you to feel better soon!
Blessings,
Christine
Photo #3
Puppy Please Start Feeling Better!
# 2. Sometimes you just need a snuggle in bed day. Get better soon.
# 1. Grey? (inside), Hound your Doctor for drugs!
What beautiful dogs!!
I’m thinking pic #3…. on the outside: “How’nd you feeling??”
on the inside: “We’ll have you better in a lick”
photo #2
Kissing cousins, my paw!!
I want a smooch from my ma
Hope you feel better soon
Gee, there are so many good ones already. All I can think of that hasn’t already been mentioned is the following:
Picture #3
Inside: Did we hear correctly that you caught a bug? Dog gone it. We would have caught it for you.
#2 is great!
…not taking our eyes off you…until you GET BETTER
picture #2 or #3 … “look DEEP into our eyes … powerless to resist us, you are now feeling … BETTER!”
Picture #2: “Get well, get well, get well. . .We miss you!”
I choose picture one. Here is my sentiment: “Get better soon because Charlie is really missing his mommy”.
All adorable, but I pick Photo #2 – Outside: “You are getting sleepy…you are getting sleepy… Inside: Rest up and get well soon!
photo #2 – outside – Dog day? inside – Get well soon.
Hope your sister is feeling better.
I would use photo 2 and say inside: We are waiting for you to get well. Hurry up.
Picture # 3 makes me smile because they look so perky!
Sentiment could be “Perk up….cause we’re missing you!!
I love picture #2. I would write in the front of the card “Are you better yet?” and in the inside of the card I would write “Waiting patiently for your speedy recovery!”.
Thank you for sharing these pictures with us. Your dogs are beautiful!
I just love photo #2! On the front: We heard you’re sick!
Inside: Ears wishing you fell better soon.
