It all started about a year ago with the purchase of my Slice machine. I made my first cards for Easter last year and I’ve been hooked ever since. Interestly, the first magazine I bought for inspiration was last year’s Stamp It Cards.
Years ago i saw some D.O.T.S. stamps which are now CTMH and i was intrigued but did not buy any. In 2001 I was invited to a Stampin UP! workshop and i have been hooked ever since.
Started at a SU party in 94 and then stopped but I’m back at it again. I’m loving all the new products.
My passion for stamping began about five years ago, when a former girlfriend of my son’s introduced me to the wonderful world of rubber stamps. It has grown and grown. Thru which I have meet many wonderful people, willing to share ideas and techniques.
I think it was in 1997 when I went to a stamping party. I just love to make cards especially ones that have a lot of bling to them. This is a great give-away. And I love your magazine.
My love started when I came across the SCS website & found the fabulous stamp companies with awesome designs then started following some awesome card makers blogs…they are so inspiring that it made me just want to get inky & crafty!

Your question has me a bit stumped! I feel like I have always been arty, but oddly enough, I can’t remember the first time that I ever stamped something. It is probably safe to say that my growing obsession with all things stamped has really grown over the last twelve years…working part-time for a few years at my local stamping/scrapbooking store helped my collection of all things inky take over a small bedroom in my house. I might not have as much time (or even money) to spend on my hobby now, but I still look forward to taking that blank paper, fantastically designed stamp and brilliantly colored ink and creating something unique and fabulous! ~Tara D.
my love affair with stamping started in october 2007 when i attended a holiday card making class at recollections. i hand made all my christmas cards that year, and every year since. i love stamping and card making!
I began stamping in 1997….right before I got married.
Actually, I just fell in love with stamping. I’m a college student (at UC San Diego) so I’m younger than most of the people who are on here. Haha. I JUSSTT started to scrapbook – meaning I actually just went out to buy my first set of supplies LAST NIGHT! My friend’s mom had a few stamps she didn’t use anymore so she gave me those and I absolutely LOVE how simple they are, but how much personality they can bring to a page or a card. Just one small stamp can add so much to anything! I love how I can personalize things. I’d love to have these stamps to be my FIRST ever new stamps! It’s hard for me to buy stamps because as I said, I’m still in college & I’m paying my own tuition, so I’d love to win!!! I adore those Daisy Bucket stamps! SO adorable!!
I started stamping in my arts class when one of our assignments was to carve a stamp in a linolium block. That was in my senior year in highschool! (March 1977!) I’ve been stamping ever since!

What a wonderful giveaway! I started scrapbooking about 11 years ago, and stamping sometime after that as a means of embellishment. I have since also started making cards and other paper crafts as well!
My stamping love affair really began when I was little but just within the past year have I really begun to do so much more!!
I started stamping after going to a women’s group at my church, atleast 16 years ago. At first it was an outlet to get out of the house being a SAHM of two preschool boys. Then it became a major release of creativity I didn’t know I even had! I kept my sanity AND made something I was so proud of. The funniest thing was, I couldn’t make myself send the cards after making them. It took a years before I sent my first card!! I don’t know why unless it was the fact I didn’t think I’d ever do anything that beautiful again. See, I ended up having another baby about that time and thought all life of crafting was over. Guess what? I am here to say, I not only stamped for all these years but am into scrapbooking as well. See there is a happy ending but I still have one of the first projects I stamped and still refuse to give it away bc it represents that time of my life! Enjoy life bc it goes by fast!
Wow, what a question…my love with stamping began when I was about 8 or 9. My grandparents had a business and lived next door to it. They rec’d tons of mail both for home and business. They gave me all the junk mail they had saved up between visits and all their office stamps like PAID, NOW DUE, SUBMIT NOW, FOR DEPOSIT ONLY, ADDRESS STAMPS, DATE STAMPS, PAID IN FULL and many more. They had to have extra ink pads so that there would be clean ones after I left. My grandpa never showed me how to clean a stamp and those stamps lasted a very long. Papercrafts, stamping, painting and sewing are in my blood!
Wow! That is one fantastic package of goodies… I officially became addicted 4 years ago in the spring. Love stamping and it has been so fun!

love Paper Crafts give-aways! I think my love for stamping started so long ago. It’s been twenty years since I fell in love with stamps and all the creative art linked to stamps. My love affair for stamps started about two year ago when I went to a stamp party and learned about all the fabulous ways I could use them. Now I can’t stop collecting them.
In 2004, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I decided to make a scrapbook of her childhood photos (in hopes to cheer her up and reminder her of what a beautiful person she is), her family and then later added her children, hopefully I will get to add the grandchildren some day. I researched scrapbooking online and I don’t remember but I got into Stampin’ Up. Found a demonstrator near me and went to a class. I began scrapbooking on my own and stamping. Fell in love with it and it’s been apart of my life ever since then.
When did I start making cards? It seems like I have been doing it forever. I cannot, in my heart or according to friends, purchase a card anymore. I love this craft and will continue it as long as I can.
I just love making cards! I started 2 years ago and am hooked!!! I love your magazine for all the inspiration I receive from it. This hobby brings out my creativity, which I never realized I had. I think everyone appreciates receiving a hand crafted card from me now and they look forward to it!!!
i was amazed by the beautiful creations of some bloggers i visited but can’t remember whom i have seen. It was when i hit to Splitcoaststampers and Hero Arts website which show the technique and versatility of stamping that made me loveeee stamping so much..
I started stamping about 22 years ago. My daughter was a toddler, and they sold a few stamps at a toy store I used to bring her to for story hour. Bought a couple, along with embossing powder, and was INSTANTLY hooked! What an awesome prize package!!! Crossing my fingers and toes!
my love of stamping started exactly a year ago this month, while my husband was on a month-long training session out of state {he’s Army} and I needed something to keep me preoccupied!
I started stamping about 5 years ago. A friend of mine was upgrading her stamp collection and gave some of her older stamps to me, which I still have.
I went to a craft fair and saw a lady making cards. There was some pretty gold embossing on the card and I wanted to know how it was done. That was my introduction to stamping and it was about 12 years ago. I was hooked from the moment she brought out the tools – Versamark, Gold EP, the heat gun – and saw how that gold powder melted into the cardstock.

I started to learn to stamp about 20+ years ago, stopped for a while and now am back at it. The new and better inks and techniques make me love it even more. I am so impressed with everyone’s work. Stamping has grown leaps and bounds in the past several years. I would love to win this prize.
This is one incredible bunch of loot! I started stamping about 6 years ago and quit dusting and cleaning my house about 6 years ago as well. Just kidding – kind of! The dust bunnies hiding in the corners and along the baseboards can wait – my stamping obsession comes first now!
My love for stamping began at a Stampin Up party about 5 years ago. Now I have what my daughter refers to as my “store” in a spare bedroom. I LOVE this stuff, and all the wonderful inspiration available out there. Thanks for what you do!!
I’ve actually just gotten into stamping this past year. I did it a bit before.
But this past year I fell in love with it and got my very first embossing tools like the heat gun and embossing powders now I’m always looking for a way to add something to a card with stamping and embossing. I also tried a embossing pen and that adds a lot to the cards I make as well. I love stamping!
I have loved to buy stamps for years…still trying to work on the getting brave enough to use them regularly though!
I’ve been stamping for as long as I can remember. I have collected so many stamps now I don’t think I could possibly ever use them all! I think I’m addicted and I love every minute of it.
