Welcome to Freebie Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved rainbows. Maybe it’s seeing all those bright colors right next to another, each one beautiful and unique in their own brilliancy.
Speaking of rainbows, I’m also a fan of the candy, Skittles. No just because they’re delicious to eat, but because they bring back a fun school memory. I’ve already told this story here, but if you’re new to this blog, it’s new to you!
“…Then came Ms. Dowell in third grade. She used to keep a candy dish on her desk filled to the rim with brightly colored Skittles. Every time we would “do well” in class (get it…her name was Ms. Do-well), we would get to pick out one Skittles candy from her tall dish. (I’m convinced she refilled that thing every day because it never seemed to disappear!) I would always pick red (strawberry) and happily munched on it all the way back to my desk. To this day, whenever I open a bag of Skittles, I always reach for the red ones first and I think to myself, ‘You deserve this. You did something well today…’”
So it’s no surprise that I love product that comes in a rainbow of colors. Bling, buttons and brads all remind me of shiny Skittles in a glass jar…just waiting to be “munched” on. But nothing excites me more than a set of never-been-opened, never-been-used markers. I love knowing that so much color resides in each small tube. And all you have to do is twist off the cap and play!

Angie Hagist's Hello Hill Card from Stamp It! Cards.
I love how Angie used markers to color in her stamped image here. What a fun, whimsical tree with brightly colored mushrooms! For more great examples of marker-happy projects, pick up a copy of Stamp It! Cards or turn to the Marker Magic feature in our January/February 2010 issue.
So you knew it was coming from the title of the blog, right? Right. I’ve got three sets of Bic’s Mark-it Ultra Fine Permanent Markers. Their ultra fine tips are perfect for coloring in those detailed stamped images…or if you’re like me, writing your name in 36 fabulous colors! Leave a comment telling me what you would do with a set like this. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, March 28.

Three lucky people will walk away with 36 colors of rainbow fun!
Happy Coloring!
Kelly

I wear my geekiness with pride; I LOVE to cruise the writing implement aisle of Staples, Office Depot, ANY art supply store – though not just for my own selfish drooling marker-fetish. My daughter Grace is 12 and has a talent for design, having created many images which she says ‘start as doodles but grow’. I let her have access to my marker stash when she’s come up with a new graphic design (we’re stingy, her twin sister can only use the washables b/c she doesnt quite adore the markers as we do, she likes to make body tattoos with them). Grace would LOVE this set and Id make plenty of use of them myself, lol.
what would I do? well i could think of a million and one…but I would use them to color in my stamps and I would be promted to buy more detailed stamps…tf the chance to win!
Ooooh, I love a new set of markers. They always remind me of when I was little, as Santa always tucked a new of markers in my stocking. No matter what else he brought there was nothing like opening a new set of markers. And, of course, Santa kept up this tradition with my own children, but I think I got more pleasure out of them than my kids did! Thanks for the chance to win them, I’d be day dreaming of xmases past and doodling to my hearts content if I won them.
Oh the joy these markers could bring! I could draw, color, doodle, scribble, accent, highlight, enhance and journal until the ink runs dry!!!
PS…Today is my birthday. My husband & I both have searched high and low to find these markers with no avail…What a wonderful birthday present this would be!!!
Thanks!
Hmm, first and foremost I would make sure they are in a place where my toddler wont get to them!:) I would love to use them for stamps and general doodling! Thanks for the chance!
These would be fun to use on cards and leaving little love notes all over the house for my sweet husband.
Golly jeepers those are pretty colors! I hope that I win. I love to use a lot of color on my cards.
I could sure use these markers to color in the rubber stamped images on my Easter cards (actually, my wife’s, but they are from me, too). Happy Easter.
I don’t know what it is but I have a fetish for markers. I love all of the colors! I haven’t seen the fine tip ones, so nice for journaling, creating borders or whatever. The possibilities are truly endless.
Great cards! And coloring always makes me feel happy and YOUNG!
OMgiggles, I would love to win one of those sets. I am a crazy penand marker freak. I love to color in my stamped images and that is exactly what I would do with them. Oh, how fun that would be! Thanks so much for the chance to win this greatset of markers! Creative Hugs, Dannette
Color, color, color!
These markers would be perfect for my cards and scrap-booking, but even better for the ornaments I’m making. I’ve been looking for a fine tip permanent maker to draw and color with on dried gourds. I’m not very good with a paint brush, so these would be just right. I’ve always got some project on the table that would benefit from the use of these markers. happy stamping, Deborah
I would love to have such a beautiful set of markers to color digis with. Since these aren’t really available here in my country, they’ll remain a dream… gorgeous colors. Thank you for the chance.
My goodness, that package of markers is a beautiful thing! I didn’t know they came in so many colors. I would write my name on absolutely everything, in a different color every time. I’d also hide these from my kids.
I would definitely use these markers in my journals, doodling, and for envelopes. Of course, coloring embellishments, such as pearls and brads, etc. is also a necessity. Love, love, love these. Thanks for the chance to win the sets.
Love the colors of these pens. I hadn’t seen them yet. Thanks for a chance to win! I’d use them on cards to color in stamped images.
DeniseB
I would use them both for coloring details on cards and writing.
I find coloring so relaxing ; maybe it’s the child in me! I would love using these great colors on cards! Just imagine the possibilities and the fun!
Those ultra fine tips look perfect for coloring tiny areas of stamps and digi stamps!
These would be fab for journaling on scrapbook pages!
I love the Bic Mark-Its, I have the fine-tipped set and have wanted the ultrafine set! I would use them to journal on scrapbook layouts. Then I would stamp and stamp and color the images with these bright markers. And I would decorate my daughter’s Preschool folder with them. Lastly, they would be of great use for me in my Preschool Classroom. Thanks for the chance to win and I love the bright and cheery card.
Nice ! I love using markers for lots of things, coloring, doodling, writing..drawing… lots of great colors !
Oooooooh! Love love love these! What yummy colors! I would use them for doodling on photos and journaling and coloring for detailing stamp images! Thanks SO much for the chance to win!
Great card! I love the use of the markers! The markers can be used for just about anything!
I LOVE these bic markers!! They leave a mark on just about everything!
I would experiment with coloring in stamps with these.
Great looking pens. If I won them, I could have pens of my own. I’d could make all kinds of cards–for every occasion, and they would be very colorful!
Oh, I love markers! They are the adult crayons to me — I remember how much I loved a new box of crayons as a kid; opening it and seeing all those great colors! I feel the same way with a new set of markers. The possibilities are endless but I would use all these wonderful markers to color stamped images and write sentiments in my cards!
Besides using them to color in stamped images…I just love to write, and I am a professional list maker…so my lists would be in the most beautiful colors!
I would have to say that I would use them to color stamped images. I am a horrible water colorer, even though I always try. But I have been looking for an awesome set of markers! And I think these will be the perfect addition to my stamping supplies. I avoid stamps that have to be colored in because I just get mad at the results. But I don’t think that will be a problem with these at all! Oh, I hope I win! I love coloring! And besides using them with stamps I would also use them for doodling. I love doodling letters and flowers and trees and things, so these are perfect for doodling stuff like that too!!!!! Did I say I hope I win!
I think some Easter eggs would be pretty in those colors…. could be paper or the real thing!
Ooh, these look so cool–I’d used these to make cards–I color in stamp designs, write lovely messages on my cards and make doodles on my flower embelishments!
Love the markers… perfect for cardmaking, scrapbooking & altering! Fun stuff!
Uhm….YES, please. Just got some stamps that need coloring in. This would be fantastic.
These look like a lot of fun for doodling and outlining!
Would love to win these, first thing I would do is use each and every one of them to write my name, its almost like a compulsion anytime i buy new pens I have to try them out right away. Yeah I know I know my husband thinks I’m a little weird for that to.

These look fabulous!
I like to co-ordinate the writing inside my cards with the colours on the card fronts, but no matter how hard I try, I never seem to have the right colours on hand. With these markers, however, I’m pretty certain I’ll always have the perfect colour at the ready! Love these!!!
I would love to win those fabulous markers! I could use those on so many creative projects!
I would love to use the Bic markers to color in stamped images. Thanks for
a chance to win!
