Welcome to Freebie Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved rainbows. Maybe it’s seeing all those bright colors right next to another, each one beautiful and unique in their own brilliancy.
Speaking of rainbows, I’m also a fan of the candy, Skittles. No just because they’re delicious to eat, but because they bring back a fun school memory. I’ve already told this story here, but if you’re new to this blog, it’s new to you!
“…Then came Ms. Dowell in third grade. She used to keep a candy dish on her desk filled to the rim with brightly colored Skittles. Every time we would “do well” in class (get it…her name was Ms. Do-well), we would get to pick out one Skittles candy from her tall dish. (I’m convinced she refilled that thing every day because it never seemed to disappear!) I would always pick red (strawberry) and happily munched on it all the way back to my desk. To this day, whenever I open a bag of Skittles, I always reach for the red ones first and I think to myself, ‘You deserve this. You did something well today…’”
So it’s no surprise that I love product that comes in a rainbow of colors. Bling, buttons and brads all remind me of shiny Skittles in a glass jar…just waiting to be “munched” on. But nothing excites me more than a set of never-been-opened, never-been-used markers. I love knowing that so much color resides in each small tube. And all you have to do is twist off the cap and play!

Angie Hagist's Hello Hill Card from Stamp It! Cards.
I love how Angie used markers to color in her stamped image here. What a fun, whimsical tree with brightly colored mushrooms! For more great examples of marker-happy projects, pick up a copy of Stamp It! Cards or turn to the Marker Magic feature in our January/February 2010 issue.
So you knew it was coming from the title of the blog, right? Right. I’ve got three sets of Bic’s Mark-it Ultra Fine Permanent Markers. Their ultra fine tips are perfect for coloring in those detailed stamped images…or if you’re like me, writing your name in 36 fabulous colors! Leave a comment telling me what you would do with a set like this. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, March 28.

Three lucky people will walk away with 36 colors of rainbow fun!
Happy Coloring!
Kelly
P.S. It’s time to announce the winner of Jennifer’s Sketchy Math post!

Those clolosrare amazing – so pretty! I woul draw and draw and color and color and share them with my girls!
Can you say color, color, color? That’s what I would do and I would have matching embellies for sure!
Ooooh! I think I would re-discover my inner child and color, color color! Maybe I’d even let my little girl join me… :>
OOOOH! Yummy markers. I LOVE markers and would use these a lot for my card making and my scrapbooking and even for my journaling when I want to make an outstanding entry. Thank you for the opportunity to become the owner of these colorful beauties.
First I would have to catelog each color for future reference. Then I would write my name on each pen, so when someone barrowed them (or I misplaced them) when someone found them they would know who they belong to. After that I would start using them for coloring images on my cards, journaling on my LOs and maybe some doodling too. I would also like to try some other things suggested, like writing on acetate, coloring on metal, and coloring Easter eggs.
The possibility is endless.
I would love to do some happy colorful handwritten journaling. Maybe color in some stamped art to top it off! I hope I win!!
These would be great for drawing/colouring on shrink plastic, vellum and on glossy card where normal markers smudge. Also I would use them for journalling etc, etc.
Markers are fun, especially lots of pretty colors. I hope I win. Thanks.
These are such beautiful colors. I would use them to color my cards and decorate my pages. Bic comes out with such great colors to use. Love the example of the card you showed. Would love to win these!
I love to stamp, Bic markers are great for coloring stamped images.
Oh wow!! I love markers!! If I won, when they arrived, I would immediately open each one and doodle to see the colors. So fun!!
If I won these markers, I would fill my world with color and then make some cards to share with others. Thanks for the opportunity.
With these Bic markers I could color in the detail on my Bella stamps!
Hi! I LOVE these markers! I am a scrapper/special ed. teacher/frequent art supply store shopper, and I drooled when I spotted these markers. I think I would use these to finish up my big scrappin’ project (wedding album), to color code my lesson plans by the month (can’t help it!) and to replenish all of my Sharpies that I’ve worn out. Happy Spring!
Oh, la, la! What a lovely set of markers and they come with a useful storage case to boot! Could I be so lucky as to win them?
Wow! These look fabulous! Just think of the possibilities…..doodling (lots and lots of doodling on everything!), adding a little “pop” to brads/bling/bits, creating cards, just having a lot of fun!
Oh, these do look like SOOO much fun. Because I do have a few Copics now, I’d likely send these to my DD far away, as she & her roommate enjoy drawing/coloring with markers so much! I know it would make her day!!!
wow, what would one NOT use these markers for?? If I had that wonderful set I would first sit and just stare with amazment that there are so many colors to work with! I would then use them to my hearts content coloring in the stamped images that I have for spring cards I am making for my grandchildren. I would then use them to doodle and decorate on my scrap pages. And finally I would use them when working on labeling and embellishing my organizational labels in my craft room! Thanks for sharing your love of the colors and the chance to win.
I am new to scrapbooking. It’s an art/hobbie I’ve been wanting to try for years. In fact I have been collecting scrapbooking items and have recently purchased a electronic die cutting machine to really get underway. I also have some stamps, too. I don’t have markers or journaling pens, so this would be an awesome addition to get me started. I think I would really use them to color in stamps. I love the array of colors and I can only imagine the beautiful different effects I could create with them. Then I would use them for journaling as well. Oh how beautiful a layout would be with the use of the different colors.
I am just starting to work on papercrafts and I don’t have a lot of papercrafting tools and supplies yet. I find that I am always looking for a color. I would love to win this set so I can continue to make cards and tags.
I like to fill in little details of stamped images to give them dimension and depth. The finer the marker, the better. I’d love these for detail work.
I’ve never seen these before but they look fabulous! I’d love to try them with stamps.
As an elementary art teacher, I thought I had seen it all, but I hadn’t seen these before. A new art material of any kind makes me feel like a kid again! I still remember the excitement of getting new school supplies every year and especially a brand new box of crayons! I have so many art hobbies that I had to turn a bedroom into my studio. I would use these markers to sketch out my new clay button and magnet designs and other clay projects. I would also use them in my scrapbooking and card making projects. When my grandkids come to visit this summer and I set each of them up with a table in my craft room, I MIGHT let them try out my new markers. Yummy colors! Everyone should take time to stop and smell the crayons…or in this case the markers!
Oh my! What an awesome set of markers. Oh please pick me!!
Would use them to write love letters to all my friends! Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Thanks so much for the chance to win these awesome markers! I’ve been shopping around for markers for a while. I dont’ currently have any good quality markers, so I don’t do much coloring on my cards. This would definitely change if I won this set! Thanks again!
Look at all those colors!!! Wow! These markers would be perfect for all those little stamps that have a lot of detail. I wouldn’t have to stamp them in a single color. Thanks for the chance to win these great markers.
I have a ton of digital stamps that I would color with these. right now they are just sitting on my computer!
I would love to color and play with these markers– so many possibilities!
I’d make a colourful Easter card!
I could really using it in stamping!
I would LOVE to use them for ZenDoodling. while I like the graphic style of the black and white doodling. COLOR! Oh yea….. ;->
I have a lot of Unity Stamps I would love to use these markers with!!
Ha! I’ll tell you what I WON’T do with them – let my kids touch them!
I love to use color coordinating markers for my journaling on layouts or insides of cards. (I’ve always been a marker/pen junkie! – Can NEVER have too many!)
Thanks for the chance to win!
I would use these not only for cards, but also in my classroom! I have the other ones, but I’ve never seen the fine tip ones. Thanks for the opportunity!
They are fablous colors. I would use them to color in my image of my stamps. I could use them on my embellishments. Journaling would be great also with all those colors. I can also use them to help me organize my scrapbook area.. Then when I was finish I would hide them from my kid since he likes using my markers. Or maybe just give him my old ones if I win I could use my new ones…lol thanks
What fun colors!
Ooooh, so many pretty colours! I can never have enough markers. Great giveaway!
I like skittles too…but I love markers more!! I used to buy the bic fine felt tip markers to take my notes with because they were so much more fun than a ball-point pen!! These look like TONS of fun to use!!
I just found your blog and I am glad I did. I am in need of new markers, to color stamped images. I have markers I bought my kids in Grade School, 22, 20 & 16. See what I mean???
Thanks for the chance to win
Susan
Wow! What would I do? I would have to learn the “bic” way of coloring! I haven’t started on the copics yet bc of the cost, so this would be a super fun thing to learn!
These pens would certainly feed my pen fetish! And it looks like the fine point would help me stay inside the lines when I color! I’d use these to address envelopes, color in stamped cards, write inside greetings, create fine line borders, etc etc etc. BTW – my son’s 2nd grade teacher gave out M&M’s. He hoarded his inside his desk until he had a handful that made it worth eating them!
Wow, those look like so much fun! I’d use them on my shrink plastic to color in some stamped images.
funny! My son has a sub who goes by Mrs. Skittles b/c she gives them skittles.
I would color my world. I would throw out all the pens in the misc. drawer: the hotel pens, the pens I swiped from the doctors office, the pens advertising things I don’t want, the pens that have resided in the dark corners of that drawer for years! I would then color my world…bright colors for morning reminders , restful colors for the evening reminders, cheerful colors for the notes to the kids and colors for fun notes to friends. Or maybe they would just disappear into the secret spot in my craft room where I put the real treasures!
Oh, I love markers! I think the first thing I would do with a great set of colorful markers is doodle! I would have to doodle to test them all out! And then create a super fun card!
As always, you are offering another great prize. Those markers look fantastic!
Oh my heck! What couldn’t you do with all those colors?
I am getting geared up for Teacher Appreciation Week so I am sure they would come in handy making hundreds of gifts for my teachers!
=)
