Both sites will be spotlighting some amazing cards from this issue, as well as giving away some fabulous prizes.

To give you a sneak peek of what’s in store next week, here’s two cards from the Friendship section of CC8. I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I love and appreciate my friends. Through the ups and downs of life, I know I can count on them for advice (solicited or not), moral support and even a little retail therapy (when things get really bad!).

I just love the design and sentiment on Melanie Douthit's You're a Great Friend Card (p. 69).

And there's just something about bunnies and buttons! Love this combination in Michelle Philippi's Best Friend Bunny Card (p. 69).
Ready for today’s giveaway? Since I love the cute little bunny in Michelle’s card, I just have to send him hoppin’ to a few of paper crafting friends. Leave a comment telling me a favorite girlfriend memory. Did you toilet paper the principal’s house? Get your ears pierced together? Meet through Facebook? Leave a comment and I’ll pick three winners to take home some fun chipboard product from Cosmo Cricket’s Nutmeg collection (seen on Michelle’s card above!) and a copy of Card Creations, Volume 8! All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, May 23.

Three lucky people will win this fun prize package!
See ya next week, friends!
Kelly
P.S. This is your last weekend to upload your entries to Gallery Idol! All Thank You cards submissions must be posted by midnight (MDT) on Monday, May 24. We’ll be announcing our Top 20 finalists next Friday!
P.P.S. If you happen to be attending CKC-Buffalo this weekend, make sure you say “hi” to Paper Crafts editor Susan R. Opel. She’s teaching 11 classes you won’t want to miss!

One of my favorite memories is when me and my best friend went to a movie together and decided to eat a whole pound of jelly beans with no guilt. We giggled through the whole movie, what a great time.
My best friend and I recently rode a ferris wheel together. We were total hams and had an awesome fun time together! The photos we snapped were priceless!!!
My best friend is my sister, so we had tons of moments growing up and now share in the love of card and scrapbook making. We always laugh a lot when we get together, which is not as much now with families, etc. We used to dance a lot together too. Fun time. Thanks for a chance to win.
I think my favorite memory of my best friend and I is when the two of us decided it was time to teach her how to make cards, I have always been the card maker/scrapbooker, so I figured it was time for her to learn too, her first card came out nice and she was excited, she fianlly made xmas cards instead of buyin them, I was tickled.
My very best BFF is my cousin Suzanne….even though we don’t live close and see each other only once a year or so, when ever we get a chance to meet up we connect. We use to giggle all night and giggled even harder when someone would yell at us to ‘BE QUIET and GO TO SLEEP’! She taught me how to swim and never made fun of me for not being able to. Luv’ ya’ Suzie!!! <3
)
Thanks for sharing! The cards are adorable!!!
Many, many slumber parties where we stayed up all night watching chic movies and laughing the night away! Thanks for the chance to win

Love Cosmo Cricket! Love bunnies! Love your giveaways! My favorite girlfriend moments are having three hour lunches on Saturdays – first we have coffee, then eat, then more coffee, then talk, talk, talk. So much more meaningful than doing chores or running errands! Love you Kathy and Carolyn!
What great cards! Once a week I get together with some old friends and a couple of new ones and we make cards, do layouts and celebrate each other’s birthdays all through the year. GIRLFRIENDS are great to have and great to be!!!
My Sisters are my BFFs! I remember going to my Parent’s hometown in Mexico and just hanging out! We were always together!
Last summer my best friend and I headed to South Beach for a girl’s weekend. We left our husbands and children behind, and had a wild weekend of shopping, going to the beach, and dancing the night away. What a blast!!!
One of my favorite girlfriend memories goes back to jr. high and high school days: there were 6 of us BGFs who would spend many a summer night of our high school years cruising the streets of our small town in my Dad’s 1951 Dodge, laughing, joking, sharing and “guy watching”! We laughed, cried, listened, sang songs together whether at school, at each others homes or just cruising around. We enjoyed simple pleasures and pure fun together!
“The Girls” always had a great time on the road trips in high school band. There was always so much to gossip about on the bus – then staying up all night in the motel rooms – could hardly stay awake the next day to march…………good memories.
I have so many girlfriend memories, I don’t know where to start. Though going to the midnight showing of New Moon was a favorite of mine. We decorated shirts to wear, we made Edward and Jacob cake pops, and we sat in line with a bunch of teenagers.
I never really had girl-time since I lived at least 20 miles away from a town….not until I moved to college. My fav time with the girls would have been when we were just hanging out “trying” to study–but talking and doing out toes and the such. I loved just hanging out–love my friends:}
Thanks for the giveaway!
We pooled our money together and went to a dude ranch one summer. It wasn’t the horses we went there for. It was the wranglers that worked there. lol
Oh my goodness! Just ONE girlfriend memory? LOL Girlfriends are the best, you are so right! Hmmm let’s see…..OK,here’s one that’s pretty retro…it was 8th grade, 1989. Remember Swatch watches in all those cool neon colors? Well, they made Swatch phones too and they were just as neon and double ended so a friend could be on the line with you. Jen and I made many dual phone calls full of laughter and fun! Those were the days huh?
my best time with my buddy was when we went out to “hunt” her ex-boyfriend who refused to pay back the money he borrowed from my friend…we did not know exactly the new location he had shifted and guess what..we ended going through a cemetery…because we lost our way!
It was a new discovery to us…that moment was really unforgettable..
A favorite fun girlfriend memory is when we would spend “girls time” out going to dinner and hanging out chatting. We have so many giggly moments. I always come home with a side ache from laughing so much. good times!
I just love card number two! My best friend, what a sweet bunny! and that first card is really cute too.
My most favorite recent best friend memory was going to see the midnight release of New Moon…and we both took our teenagers, those two got on the hood of car…going through the Starbucks drive through…crazy kids we laughed so hard we about peed our pants. Ah, sweet memories!
Thanks for the chance to win!
the card samples are so creative … love the look of the tree paper with the cutout! I am enjoying the trend of retro in the papercrafting world!
My favorite memory is when I was doing my internship in the highlands in Peru. Very remote areas where I was not too familiar to, but my BFF was doing her internship too and we shared everything, starting with the same room, we met really nice people and traveled a lot. She was my witness on my wedding day.
Thanks for the chance to win.

I would love to win this new issue! One of my favorite girlfriend memories is when we moved out and got an apartment together. One Saturday afternoon we had the music playing so loud – Blondie – and were laughing and singing and having such a great time. We couldn’t hear the manager banging on the door who wanted us to turn the music down.
What a great prize. One of my favorite girlfriend memories is a scrapping memory. We were in a table competition at a scrapping club. We did “Quickutz” comes to life. We dressed as dies come to life. We created a giant handle and giant dies. We won first prize. But the best part was the planning. We had more laughs than you can imagine. It was great fun!
Oh how lucky the winner is.
Recently me and my girlfriends went out to eat at an Afghan restaurant. It was so much fun to try new foods together and we were there for over 3 hours and they we’re even trying to kick us out like I know would have happened at most chain restaurants.
What a fab prize!
It was fun to watch the Twilight DVD with a bunch of girl friends! Lots of laughing and food!
both me & my BFF would get lost ALL the time driving here and there. we were BOTH very directionally-challenged! but we’s have a great time together being lost!
I have several, but when my bff and I were jr’s in hS we went to where the Sr’s parked their cars to catch the bus while they went on their project graduation trip and we wrote on all their windows while they were gone! Boy those were the days when you pulled pranks like that.
One of my favorite girlfriend memory was going to the Drive In movies with my friend Chris and watching the double features. Just two girlfriends hanging.
I remember all the Saturday mornings shopping downtown! Before the days of shopping malls.LOL!
My bf and I lost contact after hs. 7 years later we ran into each other at a grocery store (we never frequent) and it was as if those years hadn’t passed! Now she and I talk daily!
My best friend and I took a “40 and fabulous” trip together last year. Just the girls went beaching in Florida. I made a scrapbook of the photos we took and sent to my friend as a memento. We had a blast!! She is the best friend and keeps all the cards and books I make for her. She just sent me a photo of the area where she keeps them. I am so lucky!
My favorite memory is from when I was a young girl, bike riding around the neighborhood with my best friend playing city and dukes of hazard.
love the cards!
Going dancing. And REALLY dancing a lot.
My favorite memory is form high school when my girlfriends and I would go get slurpies and hangout at the river. Good times.
My favorite girlfriend memory is having “record wars” over the phone with the guys in a a nearby dorm when we were in college. It doesn’t sound all that fun, but I guess you had to be there!
What great giveawayand what great cards. My favorite memories wuth my girlfriends all revolve around drinks
Strawbrry Daiquiris in my college town, tea at the teahouses in Graada, Spain, and coffee at the coffeehouses in Vienna, Austria! Yum!
My favorite memories with my girlfriends are from when we were in our high school marching band. I especially loved shopping for the “clash party” where everyone in the band wears heinously mismatched clothes…it sounds stupid, but it was really fun!
Best memory with my best friend was a trip to Northwest Arkansas for a cross stitch retreat. Saying up most of the night, lots of talking, and lots of laughing. Wonderful, Wonderful times!!!
my BFF and I were high school and college friends best memories were driving home from college on Friday afternoons for a big weekend in our small town going to the local bar to shoot pool.
I’d love to go back to the high school nights of playing sports. Playing field hockey or soccer and celebrating another victory with my team.
My BFF anf I became best friends the night a bunch of us hostesses from the Harbor House in San Diego decided to go party in Tijuana ( I know…what were we thinking??) So we split into groups and Suz and I stuck together all evening dancing to the best music of the 80′s only to find that Debbie, the girls that drove us didn’t actually like us and left us in Tijuana! Lucky for us we were hotties back then and we met some SDSU boys who gave us a ride back to campus. Of course when the crew at the Harbor House caught wind of what she did they all made it clear that she better not return to work. Now 21 years later we are still BFF’s.
My BF in my early years met because we went to the same church–her Mom was the organist, mine the choir director! We had wonderful times, unfortunately we live in opposite ends of the country but still call, write, send cards and see each other when we can.
my BFF is my sister, I tell her everything and I try to get with her at least once a month, she lives in Las Vegas, what’s bad about going there?!

Even though my best friend from grad school lives so far, we still talk a few times a week. Last year, we had met up in Florida. We hung out at Animal Kingdom and Islands of Adventure – love the Harry Potter park.
Thanks for the giveaway and have a great weekend!
