I can think of so many FUN times with an old friend who was my “travel buddy” at a company we both worked for, but one instance always will stand out. We were at a site in TX during a new start-up for our company along with 4 other management team members. It was late at night and the banking institute we were at closed at 5PM, but our meeting lasted until 8PM — we were allowed to stay in the office to work, but the heat was turned off at 5PM automatically to conserve energy. It was wintertime and getting so cold in that office for us FL girls, my friend and I started layering sweaters, jackets, scarfs and hats we found around the area (they belonged to employees there) and we sat in on the rest of the meeting like this with NO ONE else noticing. That was over 12 years ago, and we still think back and laugh about how silly we both looked with no recognition from anyone else in the room :o )

  2. Cindi says:

One of my favorite girlfriend moments was a weekend in Mt Dora, FL shopping an antique show, scrapbook stores, and boutiques, eating out and crafting together.

  3. Marilyn N. says:

One of my favorite memories is when a friend and I drove to Colorado (from North Texas) to visit some friends. It was our first “road trip” every, and we drove straight through. To make sure we stayed awake, we stopped in every town and got a coke. Needless to say, when we got to Colorado, we did NOT want any cokes the whole visit!!!! We had so much fun on our adventure.

  4. Stasia Sloma says:

My favorite memories of me and my best friend is our annual trip down to the Jersey shore every year where I get to spend it with her and her family. We have the best time catching up, reading and of course I bring stacks of old paper crafting magazines that we go through over and over from cover to cover!

  5. Debi Miller says:

My roommate and I had just graduated from nursing school and decided before we went to Seattle to get jobs we would have an adventure. We drove to eastern WA (Spokane), met a couple cute guys, and went “tubing” on the Spokane River. It’s sort of like white river rafting, but no protection for your “behind”. We ended up with some pretty bad sunburns and raw “behinds”, but we had the best time. After making it back we had one interview at a hospital and got the jobs. I’ve now been a nurse for 40 years and am retired, but found something to keep me happy and busy: paper and card crafting…YEA!

  6. Carla G. says:

One of my favorite girlfriend memories would have to be being driven (by my hubby) to CHA and getting dropped off at the front door. Spending the entire afternoon shopping, laughing and having a great time in a super fun environment with other crafters. At the end of the day we were picked up curbside and driven to a delicious dinner out!

  7. Shawna says:

I was so blessed year before last to be able to go with a couple of dear friends to Cabo San Lucas. My friend won the trip and she invited me and another friend along for the ride. It was absolutely fantastic and a trip I never would have been able to afford without her invitation.

  8. rachel h says:

I actually have quiet a few girlfirend stories but one that sticks out is my first trip with just the girls when I was 21. We went camping in a tent to yosemite, borrowed a truck from a friend all piled in and stayed for a week just the four of us. We cooked set up our tent did a camp fire everything by oursleves. It was one of the best times I can recall having and being the first real trip it sticks out in my mind.

  9. Cindy d says:

One of my best girlfriends memories was Senior Prom. We had our dates drop us off at one friend’s house and the girls spent the rest of the night in a tent in the backyard. So much fun.

  10. Sue D says:

One favorite girlfriend memory is the summer my best friend had a tandem bicycle. We rode everywhere on that bike including going through the fast food drive through.

  11. conniemelancon says:

One of my favorite memories was a couple of months ago me and two friends rented a cabin at the Sate Park. Went to an art’s and craft fair, scrapbooked and made some frozen adult drinks. It was a great weekend.

  12. Even though we live hundreds of miles apart, my “bestest cuz” Selena is the one who taught me how to stamp – Some of my favorite memories are when we are together and stamp in our jammies all day!

  13. B. Poteraj says:

Hmmm, girlfriend? She and I were traveling across California, through the desert, and had to stop every mile underneath the freeway overpasses so our OLD VW van engine could cool down. It seemed like it was taking 17 years to get from the coast to Sequoia, but it really only took 1 day. One L-O-N-G day. But we played a hand of cards at each and every stop, so it could have been worse…

  14. Corinne Johnson says:

My best girlfriend memory is my Senior Prom. None of us had dates and we stayed at theprom long enough to get our pictures taken and then we went clubbin’ all night! We danced our socks off and had a blast! Then all 8 of us went and got a hotel room complete with jaccuzzi to soak our tired feet in! Such a great night with the best of friends!

  15. Melinda Wilson says:

My most memorable girlfriend memories were all six of us packing into my mother’s car every weekend and cruising the mall! I would be driving and everyone else would give me one dollar each for gas. This would be enough to run us all weekend!

  16. Ella Wright says:

My favorite girlfriend moment was hearing my galpal scream when she arrived home on her 40th birthday to find her yard had been “forked” & staked with a sign that said “Old Lady Crossing” thanks to her BBF, me!

  17. Susan McMenamin says:

My favorite girlfriend memory involves loosing my shoes, a boy crush gone bad, and a laughing, crying, laughing until you almost wet your pants walk home through the cemetary. You had to be there!

  18. Pam Bopp says:

My favorite girlfriend moment was the scrapping sleepover with the “circle of friends” where there was no sleeping, just scappin’, eatin’, & laughin’.

  19. calamityjane says:

Memories, ah, sweet memories! One of my favorite memories with a girlfriend was taking a 4-day trip to the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington state! Two of us drove upWe lived south of Portland, OR at the end) and met another girlfriend that lived on the island, and spent 3 days seeing and learning about this wonderful area!!! Although it is a small island, I would love to go back and learn even more history about it and its surrounding islands in the waters north of Seattle. This time I’d take more pictures though!!!

  20. Roni says:

One of my most favorite memories is when a whole group of us went camping and dirt biking. Of course my friend and I didn’t bike, so we were always left behind to “take care of camp”. Well, after a few drinks, we decided to go fishing in the river next to the camp and got stuck in the mud (in our boots). We came back with no fish and soaked to the skin. We managed to save our drinks and she managed to save her smokes. To this day, we laugh until we cry when we reminisce about it :)

  21. I just saw an article today about Pac Man turning 30 and reminisced with a girlfriend about making Pac Man shaped cookies for our 6th grade dance. What a great memory!

  22. Suz says:

I was blessed to have a great group of girlfriends. We had slumber parties at my house on Friday nights. We would talk & listen to music until the wee hours of the morning (with my mom coming down the steps & telling us to shut up) after doing harmless pranks. I remember one halloween my next door neighbor drove my dad’s pickup truck with us in the bed of the truck dressed up in costume yelling and having fun (I would never dream of letting my kids ride in back of truck lol)

  23. Kelly Marie says:

I don’t know if I have a favorite moment, but I have really loved getting to know all of the wonderful women in the paper crafting industry!

  24. Kymmie says:

My bf and I have known each other for 11 years. We even celebrate our friendaversary (so chessy!) One of my favorite memories was going through childbirth together. We were in the room with each other (2 years apart) when we gave birth to our daughters.

  25. Jeni says:

One of my favorites moments is when we would all meet up almost every night after work & just sit and talk until well after midnight. We would talk about everything. I miss those carefree nights.

  26. Debbie Fisher says:

The first thought that came was when a dear friend and I would get together and stamp. We would talk, shop, and create fun projects together and LAUGH! I miss her dearly.

  27. Karen says:

One of my favorite girlfriend stories is when my husband and I and our four children moved to our new location to call home (we are a military family). We introduced ourselves to our neighbor and behold…the woman, who lived there with her husband and three children, was a scrapbooker!!! A connection blossomed right on the spot and we were inseperable from that day on! The scrapbooking, the craft stores, and I introduced her to the world of cardmaking! We sometimes would get so excited over some new product that would arrive (and get to giggling) in our local Archiver’s store that the saleswomen would come over to us to make sure we were ok! :) Thank goodness we never got kicked out! Well, they soon got to know us and expected some oohs and ahhs from sections in the store.

  28. Bridget N says:

My sister, my two best friends and I would always end up at HEB (grocery store) when we were in high school. Three of us would sneak away when the other wasn’t looking, head over to the customer service counter, and have the “missing” friend paged to the front where we were waiting. Sounds so silly and juvenile, but we thought it was too funny. It never got old :)

  29. Donna says:

I remember when my friend and I went to Pennsylvania and stayed at a another friends house that they used only for ski weekends. We went shopping looking for cross stitch and basket making items because that’s what we were into back then. As a thank you for staying at the house I gave them a gift, which they tell me is still there after all these years!

  30. Samantha T. says:

Staying up all night watching movies with my bestie in high school is definitely a favorite memory.

  32. Carolyn G says:

Okay, a favorite memory. One night a girlfriend and myself snuck out of her house when I was sleeping over. We were probably 13 or 14. We just took a walk around the neighborhood at night to say we snuck out. Her sister locked the door so we couldn’t get back in. Not good! She did finally unlock the door, but we learned a lesson. I would love to win the goodies! Thanks for the chance.

  33. Shawn Wenrich says:

A favorite girlfriend memory would be actually last years trip to CK convention in PHX. My mom, my daughter and I shared a room at the beautiful hotel it was at and we had a wonderful time. I’m so sad that CK only came to Mesa in AZ this year.

  35. Vera Yates says:

My favorite memory would have to be our girl’s day. Whenever we have girl’s day we just have so much fun talking, enjoying each other company. We didn’t do anything crazy, but doesn’t mean the story being shared not crazy. :)

  36. I love Card Creations week, Card Creations 7 is still one of my favorites! My most memorable girlfriend memories were all five of us packing into my dads car every weekend and cruising the mall! Thanks for the chance to win!

  37. Ying says:

GF and I attended one of Carla’s Take 10 classes at Impress Rubber Stamps. Oh, so much fun for 2 1/2 hours. Girl’s night out so we try to go at least every quarter whenever it’s offered.

  38. Brenda Lubrant says:

My most memoriable memory of my best friend was back in the 60′s. We faked our I.D. to get in a big dance club in St. Lous. We danced the night away and had a time of our life.

My fav GF memory is going to Las Vegas to celebrate my 40-year friendship with my BFF. We’ve been through so many things over the years in our separate lives and still treasure each other’s freindship. I often wonder what my life would have been like without her all these years, but I’m so grateful for all the precious memories! Am thrilled at a chance for such a fabulous prize. Sooo wanted this mag. yesterday, but had to grab Go To Sketches because I went to 3 stores before finally finding ONE copy left. Used it to create a new card today!!!

  46. julie m says:

my favorite was our end of summer get-together after senior year. it was the last time all of us were together.

  47. Janj says:

The Heavens aligned and my husband as well as my sister’s husband were both out of town for business, so we decided to have girls all-nighter with sushi and karaoke. All of our kids loved as well.

  48. Rebecca Ednie says:

I remember the best sleepovers at my friends house, the friend with a pool! Great summers!

  49. peachyjean says:

My daughter is my best friend. Three years ago she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Shortly after she began her chemo treatments, she lost her hair. When it started to grow in, it was sparse and spiky. I would kiss her head and tell her she was my little hedgehog. She is getting better every day and recently got a clean bill of health from her doctor.
Recently a couple of the scrapbooking companies have been featuring a line of supplies with hedgehogs and other woodland creatures. Everytime I see the little hedgies, they make me think of her and smile – and I have to buy some of it for her.
She started cardmaking several years ago, and got me involved also. When we get together, that is one of the things we like to do.

  50. Lynne in NI says:

My favourite memories are my weekends away with my best friend – we’d head up to the coast and stay in a run down caravan, party all night and eat rubbish all day with not a care in the world!
