Congrats, Top 20! You’ve each won Little Yellow Bicycle’s Fresh Print Clothesline collection and a copy of our current issue!
Top 20, we absolutely loved all of your thank you cards and can’t wait to see what you come up with for round one. We thought long and hard about the theme that would not only challenge you, but bring awareness to our Creativity Heals campaign. So…the theme for round one is Creativity Heals! And that means we want to see your very best sympathy, encouragement, get well, miss you and thinking of you cards. The deadline is Monday, June 7 at 9 a.m. (MDT). All cards must be posted to our gallery by this time. I’ll be e-mailing you next week to go over the specifics for posting and to answer any questions you might have.
Before I go, I want to thank the other 242 designers who uploaded their amazing submissions to our gallery. Even though you didn’t move on in the competition, we hope you’ll still support our finalists in the voting rounds. After all, it’s our online community who will decide the next Gallery Idol winner!
Ready for today’s giveaway? In honor of Card Creations 8 Week, I’ve got five sets of Card Creations magazines (CC5, CC6, CC7, and CC8) just waiting to go to some deserving homes. The editors have chosen the themes for the four remaining Gallery Idol rounds, but it doesn’t mean they’re set in stone. Leave a comment telling me a theme you think would really challenge and inspire our Top 20. You never know…maybe we’ll pick your idea! All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, May 30.

Five winners will EACH walk away with this set of Card Creations magazines!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Kelly
P.S. Cath is wrapping up Card Creations 8 Week with a fun blog hop! Make sure you visit Moxie Fab World to see the 10 most published designers in CC8. And I hear there’s 10 amazing prize packages up for grabs!
P.P.S. It’s time to announce the three winners from Teri’s Faux Stitching with Paint post!
1. Christine N. (May 27, 12:11 a.m.)
2. Alyssa Pappas (May 26, 11:13 a.m.)
3. Wendy (May 26, 6:46 a.m.)
Congrats, winners! You’ve each won a set of paints from Eco Green Crafts and a copy of Card Creations, Volume 8! I’ll be contacting you shortly for your mailing addresses. Thanks to all who left comments!

I would love to see cards suitable to give to co-workers for work related occasions – staff anniversary, retirement, promotions, etc. Excited that Gallery Idol is gearing up again.
I’d love to win!! What beautiful cards!
encouragement cards for the unemployed
cards for teen boys and girls, but especially the boys
Congrats finalists – what beautiful cards you all made! I’d love to see some sympathy cards. They are always hard to make and finding inspiration outside of the usual florals is hard to find.
I think a red, white and blue theme would be appropriate-support our men and women in the military who risk their lives for our freedoms every day…
Love all the designs selected. I’d like to see some inspiration for “I’ll miss you” cards as women move on to new jobs or homes.
The hardest cards for me to make are for men and sympathy so those are two themes I would like to see.
Only using basic tools, like scissors, a ruler and glue. Plus stamps, papers and pens. But no Cuttlebug, no border punches etc.
How about recycling, reusing, or renewing at least one product/item on the card? Something to do with being green!! Love the Thank You cards!
This might be a bit specific, but what about Valentine’s Day cards for boys? There’s always so many lovely pinky, flowery love cards, but the only person I give a Valentine card is my husband, so I’d love to see these awesome designers give us their take on the masculine “love” cards!
I’d love to see them create a masculine themed card, not a love card though a generic card that could be used for a brother, father or husband. With so many lovely girly papers card creating for men is always a challenge!
These cards are fantastic! I wish I would have entered one! Next year for sure!
I can think of a couple of different ideas for cards. Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Baby, or Masculine anything!
I think teenaged boy cards are the absolute hardest so that should the the theme for the final round.
This didnt take much thought for me , I am really upset about this oil spill that is happening and Im so devastated by all the wildlife that is dying so in keeping with creativity heals I would like to see them go green and make some really beautiful cards and I think the greeting should be sympathy for all the animals that have already died, and for all that will die before this is over. It is even affecting humans, and Im sure it will only get worse. I hope that we all keep them in our prayers. Thank You for allowing me to share with you. Gina Kinde.

There are so many wonderful themes… I’d just grab one from the air….
I live in Tennessee and as you know several counties were flooded…..there were (still are) thousands of volunteer who put their lives on hold to help a fellow neighbor…so we need a thank you card for just volunteers…..
♥♥♥ # 6. SO CUTE!
Amazing cards…so gorgeous! How about taking themes like birthday, thank you, miss you, graduation, anniversary, sympathy, etc and put a family twist on them? It would give an added dimension to the challenge that would allow participants to add their own spin [i.e. brother/sister/mother/father/husband wife birthday, son/daughter birthday, niece/nephew graduation]. Just a thought.
Absolutely Gorgeous Cards.
Lovely cards. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful cards ladies! I think my favorite is #15. I also think that boy/guy/masculine cards are always difficult so I’d like to see more of them. I’d love to win some new magazines for some new inspiration!
