Hello, stranger.
It’s been awhile.
We used to be so close. But lately {and by lately, I mean practically the entire last decade} we’ve drifted apart.
Remember the days? Back when I would come to you with every little need. Or at least those relating to phone numbers.
But those days are gone.
I {and the rest of the modern world} have moved on. Online, that is.
And yet, you still appear on my doorstep several times a year.

What am I to do with you?
This, I think.

Paper crafting + The Yellow Pages=a match made in heaven.
Think about it, Yellow…you’re so similar to the super moxie fab, ultra trendy, vintage book print, but free of charge and delivered right to my door…practically begging me to use you.
For anything. Anything at all. Sweet.
Me and you, Yellow Pages…it’s time to renew our commitment to each other. It’s going to require a lot of sacrifice on your part, but I think it’s worth it.

But don’t call me. I’ll call you.
Jessica Witty,
Paper Crafts Go-to Gal
P.S. Do you have old phone books gathering dust? I’m “calling” all designers to participate in my Phone Book Challenge. Whip up a project incorporating the pages of a phone book. Then, upload your entries to our Phone Book Challenge Flickr group. You’ll have until Wednesday, May 26, at midnight (MDT) to upload your project(s). We’ll pick three winners and their projects will be spotlighted here on Monday, May 31. Each winner will receive a free 1-year subscription/renewal to Paper Crafts magazine. Unlike phone books, this is a prize you’ll actually want delivered several times a year!

What a fantastic idea, wish I’d thought of it! You guys are geniuses, I tell ya, geniuses! Can’t wait to dust off the old friend and put it to good use.

Ha! so cute and I actually do still use mine, so I’ll have to judiciously use my pages if I’m entering!
Well if that isn’t the cleverist thing I’ve seen in a while. Oh, I’m so doing this challenge. Heh…I know where that number comes from too…am I showing my age?
Ha! I’m dying over here!! We use our phone book as a quick and easy booster seat when there are extra kids here but now, I am looking at Yellow with a fresh set of eyes! Oh and the White Pages too!
HAHA, awesome! Why do they always drop off like 3 all in the same month, UGH! I even signed up for the no phonebook list and I still get them.
