Welcome to Magazine Monday! Today we’re kicking off the fourth and final round in our exciting Gallery Idol competition. The Top 5 finalists were given their inspirational image last Friday and then had the weekend to create their ”Inspired By” cards for this week’s round of voting. I can’t wait to see how each one interprets our fun image of summer preserves!

With this week’s special theme, I thought I would spotlight the fun image and project from the Inspired By column of our July/August 2010 issue. We sent Paper Crafts Go-to Gal (and former bartender) Kim Hughes this picture and said, “How does this inspire you?”

And boy did Kim deliver! From the bright, summer colors to the umbrella to the glass itself, Kim’s Tequila Makes Me Smile Card is pure genius…without the hangover! Isn’t Kim’s card inspiring? You could even turn it into a invitation for a summer pool party…just print out all the details on the inside of the card and mail it out to all your friends. Or, how about place cards for your guests? Just write your guests’ names on the base of the glass. The possibilities are endless!

Speaking of endless possibilities, I know our Top 5 finalists are each going to take a creative approach with this inspiring image:

Once noon (MDT) rolls around, make sure you visit our Gallery Idol contest page to view the Top 5′s entries and to cast your vote. If you haven’t already registered to vote, please click HERE and follow these three simple steps:

1. You’ll need to register with the contest tool to vote, so first go to the “Registration” tab.
2. Once you’ve registered, then click on the “View Entries” tab.
3. Once you select your favorite card, click on the “Vote” tab. (Make sure you’re really sure because you’re only allowed one vote per voting round!)

Voting for round 4 will end at noon (MDT) on Thursday, July 1. The results will be tallied shortly after and the Gallery Idol 2010 winner will be announced right here on Friday!
