Welcome to Magazine Monday and day one of our exciting Card Style Week both here and on Moxie Fab World!
As you can imagine, we see a lot of paper crafted projects around here. A LOT. I don’t have the average down to an exact decimal point, but I’d say we see between 1500 and 2000 project submissions for our larger special issues and around 1000 for our regular issues and smaller special issues. That’s a pretty wide range of color combinations, types of projects and styles to review for publication.
We’ve always tried to balance the projects in our issues between the styles you say you like most, which we determine based on reader survey results and comments on our blogs and Facebook fan page. It’s important to us that we inspire you with a good mix of everything out there, so we’re sure to select plenty of fun & cute and clean & graphic, with just enough shabby chic & vintage and classy & elegant to keep everyone happy.
One day last fall, we sat around our conference room table and chatted about the different styles in card making and what really defines each one. Voila! Card Style was born, and we have been keeping this little secret ever since.

Hello there! I loved this quiz-o!!!! It helped me realize that I’m an all-out fan of vintage! I got C’s for all the questions. I hope this does not count as a real grade, LOL
Apparently I have no style :> Out of 5 questions, I had an A, a B, 2 Cs, and a D. I guess that means I’m eclectic!
I was split between As and Bs, but I would say I probably style my cards to be fun and flirty more often than simple. I just like to make nice, cute shapes, and if it ends up being simple, then so be it! That was a fun quiz! It’s kind of fun to be able to pinpoint your own style. Thanks!
I was a mix of all of them- i love lots of color, but not so much cutesy, love the elegant and also the clean simple layers, probably the least shabby in my style, but i love the samples shown!
I’m having mostly Cs and Ds, so I guess I am classy vintage or shabby elegance LOL. I do find myself drawn more to those samples and those styles but I think it depends on my mood and who I’m making the card for & why. This was fun! Thanks
well I came up mostly b – only because I had to pick something – to be honest I think of who I am making the card for and take it from there – question … you mean you are supposed to use all the bling, buttons, brads and ribbon? You are not just supposed to collect and drool over them?

I’m half and half A and B! As I expected! Love clean and simple designs with a bit of fun thrown in! This new special issue looks great!!!
I was a mix of everything BUT clean & graphic! It’s a style I admire but it just doesn’t come naturally to me.

hmmmm…mine is somewhere between classy/elegant and fun/cute. I got 2 a’s and 2 d’s. And one c. No wonder I always feel so torn.
Wow, I have 2 B’s n 2 D’s….Its true….clean n simple does attract me the most.
My style is clean (because I *love* white space) and elegant (because I picked Ds on the other questions.
I am somewhere between Shabby and fun & cute. I got 2 C’s and 2 A’s. I have always find so hard to determine which is my style, I love two completely different styles

A fun little quiz – I was all A, with the exception of a B. I tend towards the clean/simple/cute style in my creating…less is more with me.

Very cute. Would love to have this magazine! I got mostly a’s…gee, kind of like my report cards in school. Yeah…I’d say I’m a cross between A & C. So maybe that makes me shabby fun?
Guess I’m a little bit of everything. I picked a catagory from each group with an extra Shabby in there. I like to create something different each time. I would love to have this issue..maybe I could actually “find my style”!
I took the test and I still can’t figure out my style. It seems my stlyle is Class & Elegant with a bit of shabby chic or sometimes clean & simple thrown in for good measure. Maybe I can figure it out a little bit better after reading this issue! LOL!

My style definitely cute and fun and also clean & graphic.
Classy and elegant is what my style turned out to be, but I like to challenge myself and dabble in all of them!
I am a total shabby chic girl. Or as my family refers to it, hippy thrift. My daughters took the quiz, and the oldest is classy and elegant. My middle child liked the the shabby chic but did not want to admit it. And they are both like magpies, anything shiny will catch their attention.
I am a mix of C and D…. Shabby chic with lots of layers is yummy, but understated and elegant is very eye catching as well.
I girl has to be able to change her mind you know!
I’m Mostly C: your soft comfortable style is shabby chic or vintage – but I do like the D category as well.
A & B all the way.
Mine were mostly A’s, but really I like the rustic type look, nature emphasis, not to much lacy stuff.
