Welcome to Magazine Monday! This past Saturday, my card group peeps and I met at Jennifer’s house to swap cards, craft, chat and eat. It actually went more like this: eat, chat, swap…eat, chat, craft…eat, chat, eat. But at least we’re consistent and managed to begin and finish the night with the all-important party ingredient: food!
This month our card theme was taken directly from the pages of our July/August issue. The Few of My Favorite Things feature was all about buttons, brads and ribbon. Since buttons and brads are a few of my favorite things, I asked everyone to incorporate these fun embellishments into birthday cards.

Cards by (from left to right): Brady Lovell, Rox Bagley, Brandy Jesperson, Robin Huber and Andrew Young.

Cards by (from left to right): Jennifer Schaerer, Becky Olsen, Stephanie Hunt, Kelly Smith, Tracy Dragas and Summer Andrus.
After we swapped these cute birthday cards (and snacked a little more), we sat down to craft (and chat some more). Our instructor, Ms. Schaerer, did a great job in explaining our project: Paper Crafts’ CHA make-n-take kit. Thanks to Go-to Gal Jessica Witty for designing these super fun cards!

The whole gang (from left to right): Tracy, Brady, Andrew, Summer, Sarah, Brandy, Rox, Becky and Jennifer.

Cover girl Becky Olsen points to her merry card in a sneak peek of our November/December issue!
Bella Blvd’s Stephanie Hunt and Robin Huber had planned on joining us, but sadly another commitment came up. Luckily they still sent along their cute cards to be swapped and three prize packages for our loyal blog readers! Leave a comment telling me your favorite party snack food and three winners will win Stephanie’s Sunny Happy Skies collection and one of her cards (seen above). All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Three lucky winners will take home this happy collection from Bella Blvd!
Happy Monday!
Kelly
P.S. There’s still time to play along in our Go-to Sketch Challenge #6! Featuring a fun sketch from Paper Crafts Go-to Gal Teri Anderson, this challenge ends at midnight (MDT) tonight. Click HERE
for all the details! We’ll spotlight the three winners right here next Monday, Sept. 6.

Why do I have to chose just one? Can’t I make a list…?
Chips and Tastefully Simple has this awesome dip, Warm the Oven, of which they are sadly discontinuing (I stocked up!) would probably top the list. But I have to have a sweet too, so anything sweet will do for that!
Favorite party food, oh that would be Chicken Wing Dip. Love that stuff! And tortilla chips to scoop it up with! Oh yummy!
Love all of the cards! I actually have a new favorite – it is a greek version of seven layer dip – yummy!
Love me some chocolate covered pretzels – yummy!!

M&Ms are my favorite go to snack when I’m scrapbooking. That and diet coke
I love snackin’!! But I’m a cookie junkie all the way through! Any kind of cookies!! Oh, and of course, the all-time favorite…chocolate!! Then I have to wash my sticky fingers and get back to crafting!
My favorite crafting snack doesn’t have a name. It is a mixture of: Gumi Bears, M&M’s (I prefer plain, but you can do peanut) and salted peanuts. Yes, I know it sounds weird but the chocolate with the salty and the sweet gumi’s is a perfect flavor mix!
