Welcome to day two of my blog series on incorporating text into your projects! If you missed yesterday’s post, click HERE.
When I think of books, I think of school, writing and text. So, you probably already know how perfectly this trend coordinates with anything school-related. Don’t even get me started with ledger and lined papers…pure hyperventilation!
There’s never a lack of gift-giving occasions for teachers, so I thought up a super simple gift that can be given to any teacher, at any time of the year.

Who can’t use some fun and flirty pencils? Simply fold up the bottom of a 12-inch paper, staple the sides and voila…instant pocket! Instead of filling the pocket with school supplies, how about adding a gift card instead? Fold down the top of the paper and tuck it into the bottom pocket. Other ideas:
- A journal card makes a perfect label (just add the teacher’s name to it with letter stickers).
- I combined some ledger stickers to create an A+ sign as the gift topper (I cut up two l’s to make the plus sign).

What about a thank you card for that special teacher? Fun tips:
- I used a text stamp to add a pattern to the white accent flower with red ink.
- Finish off with some school-ish items such as a paper clip and staples.
