Are you having fun as we count down to World Card Making Day? I know I sure am getting lots of card making inspiration for Saturday. (Psst…Cath is featuring another fabulous collection over at Moxie Fab World today!)
Today, I’m bringing you a holiday card inspired by Stamp It! Cards. This magazine is one of my absolute favorite special issues from Paper Crafts. It’s a no-brainer to anyone who knows me. I like cards and like to stamp, so it’s the perfect combination of things that make me happy.
For today’s inspired card, I drew inspiration from fellow Go-to-Gal Jessica Witty’s Nothing Better Card. I love that Jess heat embossed the flowers on her card with white embossing powder and then added a pop of color behind them. I also dig that she used a trendy text background stamp on the paper behind the flowers.

Jessica Witty's Nothing Better Card from Stamp It! Cards (p. 50).
Here’s what I came up with:

I mimicked the look of Jess’ flowers by heat embossing the poinsettia and leaf stamps on cardstock with white ink and embossing powder. To save time and make this card a little easier for myself to mass produce, I used a text patterned paper rather than stamping my background.
I also drew inspiration from how Jess created the sentiment on her card. I stamped Christmas in red ink and then the rest in black ink. I finished the card off with gems and holiday-style red and white baker’s twine.
Feeling inspired? Leave a comment for me here today and I might just hook you with a fun prize pack of card making goodies. Three of you will receive a copy of Stamp It! Cards, plus stamp sets from Technique Tuesday and Lawn Fawn, a pack of Technique Tiles from Technique Tuesday and a package of flowers and a pearl leaf stem from Zva Creative. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Thursday, Sept. 30.

Three winners will each take home this fun prize package!
Yours in card inspired fun,
Teri Anderson,

This card looked really easy and made me remember that I have an embossing gun and some stamps. I just purchased some card stock and thought I would show my daughter how to make some easy cards and you just inspired me to do it a little earlier. I am also going to give the hint to my Girl Scout Leader, to have the girls exchange addresses so they can make cards and send them to each other.
