Hello, friends! We’ve had a very exciting week here in Magazineland. Jennifer introduced our two new team members, Kerri Miller and Sarah Francom, we spent time at the photo studio channeling our inner Heidi Klum AND we went out to lunch to bond as new 9-member family. (Going out to lunch may not seem like a big deal to you, but getting all of our busy schedules to align is almost next to impossible!)
Since Jessica shared pictures of her family’s Halloween costumes yesterday, I thought I would share pictures of our family’s past Halloween costumes. With everything that’s been going on in our crazy world, we unanimously agreed to take a kitchen pass this year. I know! How can this be? The Paper Crafts team ALWAYS dresses up for Halloween! But before you label us Halloween Scrooges, we did dress up (sort of) for our new team headshots. Here’s a peek of our colorful “costumes”:

Matt’s expression here is priceless. He adamantly refused to don a feather boa, so as the only male, he elected to go the humorous route with this paper crafted mustache (which he hand cut himself). Little did he know that his plan would backfire and he would soon fall victim to Assault by Multi-Colored Boas!
But this isn’t the first year he’s stolen the spotlight from us…last year we were the Seven Brides of Frankenstein (nine if you count our interns!) and he was the handsome bridegroom surrounded by his drop dead gorgeous brides!

Halloween, 2009
The year before Frankie arrived on the scene we were an all-female team. We decided to celebrate our love of nature, world peace and the trendy flair jean by dressing up as hippie chicks. Can I tell you how much mileage I’ve gotten out of this costume? I recently wore it for a theme night on a family cruise!

Halloween, 2008
Next came The Blingles…the paper crafting accent commonly referred to as “bling” was very popular that year (I think it still is!), so we combined this term with the rock band group, The Bangles to form…The Blingles! I remember sitting in our weekly staff meeting that morning and crimping then PC editor Megan Hoeppner’s hair! We pretty much rocked the house that year!

Halloween, 2007
Shortly after I joined the Paper Crafts team in 2006, a certain pirate movie starring a certain dashing pirate was insanely popular (hmm…I think it still is!). I remember everyone calling fellow editor Brandy Jesperson, “Keira” that day because she resembled Keira Knightley’s Elizabeth Swan! What do you think?

Halloween, 2006
See, we really do have some fun Halloween memories locked away in the Paper Crafts vault! Leave a comment telling me which year’s costumes you like the best and I’ll pick one lucky winner to take home Little Yellow Bicycle’s Booville collection. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Friday, Oct. 29.

One lucky winner will take home this fun Little Yellow Bicycle prize package!
Happy Halloween!
Kelly

They all made me smile, but the hippies brought a great big grin. Such fond memories that triggered–been a long time since I dressed like that or made any daisy chains. Still love those colorful, comfortable clothes.
All are great, but I enjoyed the Brides of Frankenstein the most. Can’t wait to see this year’s!!!
