Are you taking advantage of the FREE features on the Paper Crafts web site?
In addition to the online bonus projects, you’ll find one-of-a-kind patterns (that are ready to print and cut out). I also came across a VERY cool calendar download from Holiday Cards & More, Vol. 5. I’m going to download one today. Of course, my favorite online feature would be the downloadable sentiments.
I started creating fonts for Creating Keepsakes magazine four years ago and still enjoy sharing my handwriting with all of you. I design one sentiment for each Paper Crafts issue and then create a card using it. Sometimes I feel like writing a long quote and other times I choose one bold word (like I did with the March/April 2011 sentiment. I’m wicked excited about this one, so stay tuned!).
Here’s my holiday sentiment from the November/December 2010 issue:
I like mixing up fonts because I think it adds a bit of whimsy and character. For complete supplies and instructions for my Joy to the World Card, click HERE.
Today I thought I would create a card using the same sentiment in a unique way. It’s hard not to think of harvest colors in October, so I went with it…even if it’s a Christmas sentiment. I threw out the traditional colors rule because there’s nothing wrong with changing things up every now and then, right?

I colored the letters with markers and let the sentiment dominate the card. Care to use this sentiment in a fun way and share it with us? Click HERE to download it today. If you do make a card, please link it up. I’d love to see it!
Thanks so much for joining me today!
