Welcome to Freebie Friday! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now that your hearts (and bellies!) are full, I hope you’ll join us for Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week!
Beginning Monday, we’ll be spotlighting our latest special issue, Card Creations: Favorite Occasions, Vol. 2. This new volume is packed with ideas for the top five favorite card making occasions: Birthday, Thank You, Congratulations, Love and All Occasion. Sound intriguing?
In addition to all the fun we’ll be having here, we’re partnering with trends editor Cath Edvalson and her Moxie Fab World blog. Between the two sites, we’ll be spotlighting projects, hosting fun challenges and giving away some spectacular prizes (including free issues!).
Since I’m feeling so grateful after the Thanksgiving holiday, I thought I would spotlight three thank you cards from Card Occasions: Favorite Occasions, Vol. 2. All three cards would be perfect to send to a friend, a loved one or the hostess of a special Thanksgiving feast. (I’m totally copying Kate’s brilliant card below!)

Here's Kate Calvert's Right at Home Card (p. 71).

And Karen Walker's Bird Thanks Card (p. 79).

And Charlene Austin's Heart of Thanks Card (p. 83).
Great thank you cards, right? Leave a comment telling me the last time you sent a card of gratitude. I’ll pick three random winners to take home a copy of Card Creations: Favorite Occasions AND Technique Tuesday’s Thanks for Everything stamp set - the same set Charlene used in her Heart of Thanks Card above. All comments must be received by midnight on Sunday, Nov. 28.

Three lucky winners will take home this fun prize package!
Happy Friday!
Kelly
P.S. Make sure you join us on Monday when we spotlight designer Maile Belles and a few of her 10 cards from Card Creations, Favorite Occasions!
P.P.S. It’s time to announce the winners from Kerri’s Creative Recess post and Kim Hughes’ I’m Thankful For… post!
Kerri’s winner:
Gerri Greening (Nov. 23, 9:32 p.m.)
Kim’s winner:
Megan A. (Nov. 24, 10:33 a.m.)
Congrats, winners! I’ll be contacting you shortly to get your addresses and discuss your prizes. Thanks to all who left comments!

It’s a good life!

I made a set of 10 Thank You cards beautifully packaged in a handmade box with a special easel card for my sister in law who helped me host a card and craft exhibition , I just did not want to take her help for granted and wanted her to know her time was appreciated.
I sent several thank you notes to coworkers who helped me with a class I was teaching in another city. Even though I sent them emails, I wanted to let them know I really appreciated the help! Thank you for the chance to win this set!
The last Thank You I sent was to my fav Dr. who’s been with me through 15 years of health, kidney, liver, lung, heart failure and helped me beat the odds to survive them and his family of 3 burgeon to 8 with the adoption of 5 children. He and his family have become friends and almost family. Most Drs.. shake your hand @ the beginning and end of each visit, we hug. I truly trust him with my life. My husband even has his home phone # !!
I just sent a thank you to my sister in law for hosting some thanksgiving fun for our family visiting from out of town.
I need to send out about ten of them for people who have helped me after my surgery. Thanks for reminding me.
i just sent a card for all kids who went to my son’s birthday last wednesday, he’s 4 years old, and had many gifts this day … those stamps are fabulous, tyfc !
