Coming back from the Thanksgiving holiday, I had no idea that I’d be giving myself an early Christmas gift the very next week. Sure, I had heard whispers from the Paper Crafts team about a warehouse sale that comes only once a year. How the deals were crazy and the product selection was awesome.
So when an e-mail invite to the American Crafts Warehouse Sale crossed my desk and I heard the editorial team cheering that we all got paid the week before, I decided I was ready to give it a try. I told myself I’d be good. I even gave myself a budget of $20 dollars or so. I’d only buy items that I could use for my Christmas cards and gift projects.
This will be easy, I said, a fun outing with the Paper Crafts team.
Well, I had part of it correct. Shopping with the team was fun and the deals were fantastic. (My personal favorite was 300 pieces of cardstock for $35!) Cardstock, Thickers, ribbons, rub-ons, brads, ink, stamps, patterned papers, gift bags, tags, wrapping paper, albums, and more. And everything is just so pretty! Not too far in, I realized I had seriously underestimated my budget!

Our carts are empty and waiting to be filled with paper crafting goodies.
Jennifer, Susan, and Kelly – all old-timers to this sale – seemed to have a little more control over what they wanted. Those of us who are new and still gathering the basics in paper craft supplies probably went a little crazier. And then there was Holly, our graphic designer, who came ready with her five sisters’ orders and bought enough wrapping paper to last a lifetime!

Trunk full of all our goodies.

To the victor go the spoils!
Add all our items together and it appears we cleared out the warehouse. But be assured, you too can bask in all the crafting goodness. The sale runs from December 3 – 16 at the Orem, Utah warehouse. Just remember to double your budget before you go. It will be well worth it. Think of it as an early Christmas present to yourself. That’s what I did! And if my husband just happens to read this, you aren’t off the hook! I’m still expecting a present from you too!

P.S. For those of you who can’t make the warehouse sale, I just happen to have an early Christmas gift for two good little paper crafters! Leave a comment telling me an item you tend to splurge on during the holidays and I’ll pick two random winners to receive some Dear Lizzy Christmas goodies. All comments must be received by midnight (MST) on Thursday, Dec. 9.

Two lucky winners will take home these American Crafts goodies!
