Welcome to Friday! Have you been anxiously waiting for spring to arrive on your doorstep? I for one have been loving the longer days, warmer temperatures and the promise of even longer, warmer days to come.
In addition to March being National Craft Month, it’s also Poetry Month. One could say that crafts+spring=poetry. All kidding aside, poets have long been inspired by the beauty of spring:
And Spring arose on the garden fair,

Lately I’ve been inspired by sketches! When I came across the Dear Lizzy Enchanted collection, I opened our Go-to Sketches special issue for the perfect sketches to complement this enchanting spring-themed product.
I decided to play with Kim Kesti’s sketch (p. 86), Betsy Veldman’s sketch (p. 109) and Jessica Witty’s sketch (p. 154). The beauty of sketches is you can adhere to them faithfully or use them to jump-start your own creativity.

Hubby’s birthday is tomorrow, my oldest turns 15 on the 30th then my little guy turns 3 on April 8th. With all of them getting presents, I feel left out so this sure would be nice! hehe

Spring inspires me with the colors of the green grass, beautiful tulips and hyacinths and daffodils-love the colors of spring!
OHHH! What a beautiful collection–spring is such a great time of the year! I love all the new babies (animals) and the soft colors….all the flowers! LOVE it:)
Love seeing the shoots popping out and blooming into bold and bright flowers….Thats what inspires me the most. Oh and this spring color giveaway is totally inspiring too.
The colors and clean smells of spring inspire me to clean! Clean the house, organize closets, set up the garden and renew on the inside! It’s almost better to set up resolutions now than at New Year’s. Cute sketches-love the colors and patterns!
The many colors in my rose garden as the flowers bloom in the spring inspire me. How can you not look at the beautiful blooms, smell their sweet aroma while the sun is shining on your face and not smile?

I’m inspired me to make my projects spring to life. When I see a field of flowers popping up from the ground or the leaves on trees dancing in the wind I want to recreate it.
Spring inspires me to create cards with lots of flowers on them! Living in Michigan I look forward to warmer weather so I can get out and walk. I am starting to look for any crocus’ that may be poking their heads out about now.
I’m so happy Spring is here. I live in Indiana & we had 75 degree weather today…. loved it!!! The smells of spring really inspire me (of course I love the looks of spring, all the pretty flowers, green grass, butterflies, etc.)… but the smells of the flowers, the fresh cut grass really gets my mind working!!!

Spring is about birth and renewal, with the coming of spring it gives new life to old projects or new vigor to what is to come. The lightness of spring gives us energy to pursue crafts with a new vision. I always get great ideas for the spring with the new flowers that are always popping up! The many different colors are also great inspirations for my crafts.
