If you are like me, you are really enjoying all the new scrappy product flooding the shelves lately.
It seems like everything is new!
I decided to combat my hoarder mentality and use some of my brand new things to make a card.
I can always use birthday cards in my stash, so choosing the occasion was easy – especially since birthdays are one of my favorite things, too!
Won’t you join me?

I started with the adorable accent from American Crafts and built my design around it. I added some American Crafts paper and a strip of yellow woodgrain (yes, yellow – one of my favorite colors) from Bella Blvd. I love mixing and matching different lines. Flowers from BasicGrey and some crepe paper trim from Jenni Bowlin Studios finished this one off nicely.
It’s kind of “over the top”, but isn’t that what birthdays are all about?
Check my blog for another fun birthday card and while you are there, enter to win a mini prize pack including yes, a few of my favorite things. (Contest will remain open until Sunday, May 15 at midnight PDT).
