Hello, card makers! My son, Colin, is excited to start Kindergarten in a few days and is especially excited to meet his new teacher. And as a parent, I want to give his teacher a big hug for all the hard work she does. I so admire those who teach and work in schools.
To let them know they are appreciated, I decided to create a card for his new teacher, along with some of the other folks he will meet as he heads off on this new adventure. But with all the back-to-school plans, I am a bit short on time. That is where the new issue Card Ideas for Paper Crafters comes in handy!
Sketches are a great way to speed up the card-making process. And Card Ideas for Paper Crafters has some fabulous sketches. I used Stephanie Halinski’s fun sketch from page 50 of the issue:

After picking out my sketch, I grabbed some fun products:
- KI Memories Back To School Puffies (love these for quick embellishments)
- Studio Calico 6×6 Paper Pads (this size paper is excellent for card-making)
- Paper Smooches Word Up stamp set (great for cute cards)

I decided to use this sketch in several ways. First, we have a vertical card:

Next, I used it horizontally:

Then I rotated the sketch a bit for some added fun:

And finally, a mini card!

These cards were quick and easy, thanks to a fabulous sketch and great products. I enjoyed making them so much I decided to hook a lucky winner up with these goodies from Paper Smooches, Studio Calico and KI Memories:

For your chance to win, just leave a comment here by midnight (MDT) on Thursday, August 25.
Happy back-to-school!
Jennifer
