Welcome to our last stop on our tour! Today we will be visiting Switzerland and Croatia! We have a lot of distance to cover between the two, so we better get started! Hope you brought your walking shoes, because here we go!
Why she loves card-making: “I love card-making because it gives me a short creative escape at the end of which there’s a finished product on my desk. At the same time, cards are like short musical pieces, they need a lot of attention and detailed work. A card is also a perfect place to test new techniques – if something goes wrong, it can quickly be repaired!”
Christmas in Switzerland: In the French speaking part of Switzerland, “Merry Christmas” is translated to, “Joyeux Noel.” Happy New Year translates to, “Bonne Annêe,” while Happy Holidays is, “Bonnes Fêtes!”

Why she loves card-making: “What I love most about card-making is that I get to play with paper! I love paper; all paper! Tissue paper, cardstock, crepe paper, newspaper, you name it! And more than that, I love creating with paper. Of course, there’s nothing better than giving your handmade card to someone special!”
Christmas in Croatia: “Merry Christmas” in Croatian is, “Sretan Božić”. “Happy New Year” is “Sretna Nova Godina!”

Thanks for joining us on our trip around the world! One of the reasons we love card-making so much? It brings people together. It lets us, in our little office in Bluffdale, Utah, create relationships with designers all over the world. It allows us to interact with people we would never have the opportunity to do otherwise. It’s as simple as glue, some sheets of paper, maybe an embellishment or two. But the significance is much more. So join us tomorrow in celebration of World Card Making Day, where we, the card-making community, kick-off the holiday card-making season!
We’ll be here all day tomorrow, so make sure you check-in with us! Happy crafting!
