Happy fall!
Okay, so it’s not technically fall yet, but somehow it feels like the start of a new season – the kids are going back to school, the new fall clothing lines are out and the garden harvest has begun.
I have to say that fall is by far my favorite season. I love when the air becomes crisp and the leaves crunch beneath my feet and I can finally put on that sweater that I’ve been itching to wear. It’s a little bit of heaven.
Fall is also my favorite time to decorate my home. I honestly have to hold myself back from decorating too soon. Although the great thing about having to wait is that it gives me time to plan. Great plans come with great inspiration! You’ll find it in the Fall Home Décor feature from our September/October 2011 issue.

Favorite things about Fall…hmmm…probably taking out my jeans, hoodies, and sweaters again! And all my scarves too!!!

My favorite thing about fall is sweater weather and the rich colors of the leaves as they turn. It’s also so much easier to camp when you are not melting from extreme heat or turning into a block of ice from extreme cold.
My favorite thing about fall is the colors of the trees/leaves. You can probably guess…i dont do the raking around my house-lol!!

I love maple leaves in yellow, orange and red! And I enjoy the temperature as well, not too hot or too cold!

OHHH! I love the sunlight in the fall–it’s not as bright but it has more of an orangish glow—does that make sense? We live in FL so we don’t see the leaves change–but I can see the change in the sun!
Mine is kind of weird, I know. But, my favorite thing about fall is no more chiggers.
The temperatures!!!! It’s not so hot and humid, and I love watching the color changing of the leaves and watching them fall from the trees!

My favorite thing about fall used to be the chance to wear a favorite, cuddly sweater. Now, in FL, it’s any hint of cooler, drier weather we can grab! I still like to decorate for fall though, and spread some leaves that I don’t have to rake!
I live in Texas so the leaves don’t get too colorful when they fall, but I do love the smell of the leaves and pine needles and earth which is uniquely autumn.
I’m actually not a huge fan of fall. I miss my flower garden, summer fruits and veggies, the beach, enjoying days with my kids and most of all, sleeping in. However this fall, I’m excited to see fall arrive as that means I am that much closer to delivering my third baby in December!

My favorite part of fall is pulling out all those snuggly blankets that have been hibernating in the closet all summer. Nothing better than a soft blanket and a good book.
