Once upon a time there was a holiday named World Card Making Day. Oh, the holiday was so fun! Born on the first Saturday of every October, World Card Making Day loved celebrating his birthday because it inspired people to start crafting for the holiday season. World Card Making Day loved spreading the joy of card-making with everyone!
One day, World Card Making Day met a new friend, Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6. Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6 was the ying to World Card Making Day’s yang. Filled with holiday cards, tags, home décor and gift wrap ideas, Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6 was sure to inspire everyone to get those holiday cards rolling!
It was a match made in heaven! World Card Making Day would bring everyone together, and Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6 would inspire them with its 162 pages, 300 + holiday craft ideas, and over 150 holiday cards!
Aren’t love stories great? We think so too. That’s why we’re combining the party for our latest special issue, Holiday Cards & More Vol. 6 with one of our favorite holidays of the year, World Card Making Day! My favorite thing about World Card Making Day is that it reminds me to always think about others! I think it really makes people feel great to get something in the mail besides bills! I want my cards to make others feel special!

I love that it causes me to create to my full potential and create out of the box for the WCMD contest, which is very close to my heart. It was the first contest I won (2009) and how I got my very first card published. It also reminds me that everyone loves receiving a little bit of love in the mail and that’s why I started making cards in the first place.

WCMD is very special to me. My mother has kept every card she was ever given. It seems like now, everyone just emails, but a card, especially handmade, is a tangible gift to hold in one’s hand for years to come. I love to give a friend or family member something they know I put my heart into.
there are so many card making events such as all day crops, great sales at my lss and inspiring on line challenges during WCMD! can’t wait!
Oh what wonderful Christmas cards! It’s brilliant to have a special fun day that gives me another excuse to get inky! I really have to start making my Christmas cards, so that’s what I intend getting up to on WCMD.
World Card Making Day! Just the thought of starting the celebration of the holidays and handmade paper crafts gives me that warm and excited feeling…the exact same way I felt as a child in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The lights, the tree, the special times with family, and the sharing! That is how WCMD makes me feel all over again, every single year. I guess you could call it the event that starts up the season of creating and sharing aka as the Christmas spirit for me!

Every day is cardmaking day, but a special day for everyone to make cards together is GREAT. I can’t wait to try some of the ideas in Papercrafts and would love to win these products to make even more!
It reminds everyone that we need to stay in touch “physically” with each other by using the touch and feel of a real handmade card.
It’s like a birthday. Every day is beautiful but that day is special and we like to spend it with people we love. And we all love crafting why we don’t celebrate it together. And if I get a present too it will be …. Happy World Card Making Day to all.
World Cardmaking Day is such a wonderful way to celebrate the art of papercrafting and the good feelings you get when you send or receive a hand-made card! To me something handmade has a special feeling of love that you just can’t get from something that is store bought. Especially today when time seems so pressed for everyone, taking the time to make something with your own hands makes it special from the get go.

World Card Day is the one day people from all over the world are getting together either in real groups or just virtual groups to make cards. What a wonderful way to share our love for paper crafting. I have enjoyed doing this every year for the past 5 years. I will be right here this year as well!
