Have you ever received a card out of the blue, just because someone was thinking of you? In my mind, these are the best kind of cards to get.  Everyone thinks to send cards on Christmas, birthdays, Mother’s and Father’s Day. But it’s the cards that say “just because”, “thinking of you”, and “hello” that truly warm the cockles of my heart.

Lucky for you, the 365 Cards issue is chock full of cards of this nature. Here are some of my favorites from the issue:

Ooooh, the black and white chevron pattern used by Kimberly Crawford makes this card pop. And it’s not all that hard to replicate, even I could do it! Check it out on p. 17.

Featured on p. 45, Vanessa Menhorn used a bright yellow ribbon to make this card come alive.  So beautiful!

The coloring on Julie Day’s card on p. 122 is wonderful. It takes my breath away. Who wouldn’t like to get this card!

It may just be the seasonal colors, but the wood grain and leaves on this card makes me very happy. Sarah Jay did a beautiful job; check it out on p. 141.

From hello to miss you to thanks, all of these sentiments are ready and waiting for you to make someone’s day a little bit more special. And 365 Cards is just the inspiration you’ll need to get started!
