There are two types of people in this world… those who relish in the Black Friday festivities, and those who don’t.
Personally, standing in freezing cold lines for hours on end only to be trampled in a stampede of crazed shoppers is not my cup of tea. Fortunately for me, there is a little thing called the Internet. And Cyber Monday. No lines, no crowds, and no judgment for me staying in my pajamas all day long.
Come Sunday evening, check out the Cyber Monday deals over at our online store, Scrap and Paper Shop! Free shipping on orders of $50 or more, and deals on all our CDs and DVDs!
Happy shopping!

Frankly speaking, I think Black Friday has gotten way out of control. Personally, I stay away from the stores when the crowds are overwhelming. Thanksgiving is a national holiday for family an friends to get together and be reflect on the blessings bestowed upon us. It is my hope that material things and money won’t get in the way of celebrating Thanksgiving. My thoughts go out to those who had to get up early or stay up late to work in the stores especially if you had to miss family/friend time!
I’m with you, Courtney! Shopping at home in my comfy jammies or sweats beats getting up long before dawn to duke it out over the deals on Black Friday. I do, however, like to shop local when possible, so I’ll get out there & forage a bit for some locally sourced gifts.
And Maggie is right, too. Our culture seems to be getting more materialistic all the time. Let’s count our blessings & bestow some handmade gifts on our loved ones, gifts with personal meaning & some thought in them.
