Good afternoon, devoted and faithful blog readers! I hope you enjoyed this morning’s blog hop — aren’t those a talented group of designers?! We think so too.
This post is bittersweet for me to write.
Bitter: I hate change and I hate goodbyes. Sweet: Change can be good and exciting and totally worth it. Bitter: I love the Paper Crafts community, and will miss everyone dearly. What will I do without Susan and her colorful outfits? And how will I manage my new job without hearing the familiar “pop” of a Coke can coming from Kelly’s desk? And your reader comments are the highlights of my morning, so I’m not sure how I will survive without those! Sweet: I’ve been given a new opportunity to pursue in the fashion industry that I simply cannot pass up.
You see, bittersweet, right? I’m glad you feel my pain. I’ve been at Paper Crafts for just over a year, and it has been truly wonderful! I’m one of the fortunate ones. I was prepared to work mediocre jobs right out of college, but Paper Crafts was my first “grown up person job”, and the Paper Crafts team and all of our supporters (that’s you!) have really set a high bar for my future jobs. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
But when an opportunity like this — I’ll be working for a couture wedding gown designer in Salt Lake City– comes along, and it happens to coincide perfectly with my interests, and coincidentally, of course, it aligns with my talents…. well let’s just say you grab that opportunity and hold on with all your might!
Now if I can only find a way to meld the wedding community with the paper-crafting community, we’ll be all set, right?!
So thank you, again, for all of your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm. You’ve made it quite the ride! I will miss all of you, but maybe, just maybe, you will all gain an interest in wedding blogs? Just a thought….
Adieu for now,

Best of luck change is much easier when you are young so take chances and enjoy the ride! I happen to be a Alteration specialist surrounded by wedding gowns all day long. I love when the dress is done and everything fits just right, very rewarding. I use papercrafting as a creative outlet and I love it!
P.S. Don’t let the designers cut the dress’s too low it is hard to alter those to stay up!!!!!!
