The Stamp It! 3 Ways section has always been one of my favorite parts of the Stamp It! Cards issues, so of course I was super-duper excited when we got the word that there would be an entire issue devoted to the concept! Who doesn’t like getting tons of great ideas for getting the most out of your stamps?
As I was flipping through the pages of the Stamp It! 3 Ways issue, I was blown away by some of the creative ideas…and amazed at how one stamp set could look so different when placed in the hands of talented stampers who put their own unique spin on it!

And that’s the beauty of stamping, isn’t it friends? By using different colors, techniques and compositions, the creative possibilities of a single stamp set are unlimited!
One of the stamp sets I was assigned to use for this issue was the All Aboard set from Technique Tuesday.

The project I created for this issue was a framed piece with a definite masculine, vintage flair. At first glance, this set definitely gives that sort of vibe!

But what happens when you brighten up the color scheme and add a bit of whimsy? It takes on a decidedly different feel!

I was excited to pull out this set again for today’s project. This time I stamped the airplane image from the set using Versamark, then embossed with some colorful embossing powders. The subtly inked cloud background along with the dotted trail and colorful letter stickers, give it a whimsical feel that is perfect for a young boy’s birthday! Definitely a different look than my original project!

What other uses can you dream up for this stamp set? Would you go the vintage and masculine direction, or do you prefer the colorful, whimsical version? I’d love to hear your ideas! Leave me a comment and I’ll choose three lucky winner sto take home the All Aboard stamp set along with a copy of the new Stamp it 3 Ways issue! Comments must be received by Thursday, January 26th at 5 PM MST!

This is great stamp set. Versatile and just right for masculine cards. Thanks for sharing!
I’d use the ship as an white embossed background coloured with distress inks to go with a monkey pirate digi [or any pirate character stamp] so he could sail the seas
I like the vintage feel of the set, that would be my first instinct for using it. however, the more I look at it, the more ideas I get. Sure hope I get to try them out!
Cute Stamps. I like the vintage feel and would most likely go that direction. However your whimsical card does spark the imagination.
Betsy this is such an adorable card! Love the bright, fun colors and the vintage feel of this stamp set, TFS
This looks like a great set — I particularly like your “vintage” interpretation. All the images are similar in size which certainly lends them to be used together on one project.
I love this set. I am always looking for great guy images, and this has lots. I also like that it lends itself to vintage or modern. Way to go, Betsy.
