It’s February and love is in the air!
If you’ve stepped into a store or flipped on your television lately, I’m sure you’ve seen those not-so-subtle reminders that it’s time to celebrate our loved ones.
My sister is getting married in just a few short months, so we’ve been gathering ideas on celebrating love for quite some time now. Nothing says ‘celebrating’ like confetti, as this cute little couple demonstrates!

I’ve heard it says that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Who wouldn’t want to be surprised with this confetti filled cake?

So, this year, it seemed fitting to celebrate my love for my hubby with a handmade card filled with confetti.

Confetti filled windows are really easy to make! If you’d like to make one yourself, you can find a complete tutorial on my blog today.
I’d love to hear how you like to celebrate your loved ones! Leave a comment on this post and one of you will be eligible to win the Confetti Collection from our friends at American Crafts! Comments must be received by Thursday February 2 at 5 PM MST.

Thanks for tuning in and good luck!

I like to celebrate with my loved ones by making a card and baking a cake!
Your card is so cute. I love the confetti hearts. The colours you used keeps it from feeling too girly! Great sentiment.
I usually find the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, for my DH, is to make his favourite meal and dessert. The old saying the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach is so true! lol
Thanks for sharing!
This year it’s our 25th anniversary so we are going on a little weekend get-away. Normally it’s cards and hugs and trying to stay away from all the sweets! LOL!
We always celebrate with chocolate (maybe because that’s my favorite)! I buy a box for everyone in my family.
I celebrate with a scavenger hunt for my kids! I leave clues and treats. It is so much fun and they really look forward to it!
Wow that cake looks so yummy right now; I would love to get my hands on a piece of it as well as that beautiful paper collection! This is my first valentines day with my husband so we are going on a little vacation to the mountains, very excited!
I celebrate by leaving placing cutout hearts around their rooms and on them are written why they are special to me.
very cute and fun card….
I think we should celebrate the people we love more often. I am a note writer…I leave notes in lunches, bathroom mirror, counter…anywhere they will see it.
Very simply, dinner together.
I’ll be making cards for my family…and hoping I get some of my favorite chocolate!
Spending time together and handmade cards for special moments, of course!
DH & I usually go out to eat at a nice restaurant for Valentine’s Day. We also exchange cards.
On each visit when my college daughter comes home I make a new paper banner to hand over her headboard of her bed! I am excited to make the Valentine One! love your card!
Love the confetti card (and of course the cake too!). I would like to celebrate my family with a nice dinner, a great dessert and a fireside chat. Of course, cards for all!
I love confetti! It brightens up everything! Thanks for the pocket window tutorial!

My husband and I used to go to dinner. The last few years, we’ve just exchanged small gifts. This year, I may try to make a fun breakfast-for-dinner with pink heart pancakes.
I like to celebrate with my loved ones by having dinner together, but this year perhaps I would like to try cook together for our dinner. hehehe
What a nice idea to hold confetti! Would love to win this bright & cheery set!!
A friend and I made reservations to have a romantic Valentines dinner with our hubbies at our favorite Victorian tea shop. Lace and fine china…. the guys won’t mind this time! Lol.
Most celebrations involve a special meal out followed by a yummy dessert – chocolate is the best!
I love to get together with friends and family over a home cooked meal. We are from all over the world and there is always something new to try!
My husband loves sweets, so I always surprise him with either chocolates or a cake! He loves it!
I make my loved ones their favourite meal for supper, and of course, cupcakes!! I usually try to make sure that we have some quality one on one time together doing something fun too!
Beautiful card! Confetti is one of my favorite collections from American Crafts…so I would LOVE to win it. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love the card. So beautiful. I don’t really care what we do as long as it’s child free and tasty
I like to leave little hidden surprises for my husband! He appreciated them and I love doing it!
Not only do I make cards for the ones I love, but I really like to cook for my loved ones as well. We have some special family recipes that do wonders to show our love ;D
I like to celebrate with some one on one time, whether it’s getting a sitter and going out for a nice dinner with the hubby, picking up one of the girls early from school for a special outing, or lunch with a friend. Time is one of my most limited resources, so I think undivided attention speaks volumes.
I love love love Confetti, too! I’m totally digging your confetti card and think I just may need to steal that idea
— we celebrate with lots of hugs and kisses. It’s the easiest most affectionate way for us to say “Hey, you matter”
My son, hubby, and I write down all the things we love about each other and then read it. It is so fun, silly, and uplifting:)
Your card is adorable…I love all the confetti hearts. The colors in the Confetti line look like very bright and nice for scrapping celebrations.
How fun! I like to celebrate any happy occasion by making something for the special person. My family always LOVES getting handmade things so it makes it an even happier day!

My DH and I do not celebrate Valentine’s Day (his father died on that day). Instead we celebrate our 1st date anniversary 2/4 with a great meal of steaks and a special dessert.
We will be spending Valentine’s day at my son’s basketball game with a lot of relatives and friends. I will be bringing Valentine cupcakes to celebrate the occasion.
My goal this year is to make Valentines for friends and family.
I made my hubby a pizza box Valentine – I think it turned out really cute! He has a “pizza” my heart!
Thanks for the chance to win!!!
I like to celebrate my loved ones every day with little notes in lunch boxes and sweet little texts throughout the day.
The card you made for your husband is wonderful. Thanks for the idea (and the chance to win)!
What a fun card, having recently just made my first shaker card I now know I can do it.
Love what you did with this card! And the sentiment is so adorable
We celebrate by having a special meal–requested by the birthday boy/girl, and then cake and ice cream for dessert….and of course lots of pics to scrap!!
I celebrate my loved ones by sending them something in the physical mail to let them know I remembered their birthday, their anniversary, or any special holiday, i.e. Valentine’s Day.

I love to celebrate by dining out, then I don’t have to cook!!!
Confetti is one of my all time favorite collections from American Crafts! So festive, colorful and I love the embellies for it. My hubby has always spoiled me and our daughters on Feb. 14th. We get chocolate truffles (always giving me a bigger box), a thoughtful gift and a beautiful card. We in turn love to bake his favorite cookies or cake. Now I am off to see how Julie made her fun card……..
I like to celebrate my family by making a special meal and spending the whole evening together.
So fun with the confetti inside the man and woman shape! TFS =)
Super cute card, I’m gonna have to Pin that tutorial! I like to celebrate my family with lots of hugs and snuggles….food is good too. Favorite meals and snacks are done on birthdays, and for all the other holidays the food and decor is always themed to the holiday. Makes for some fun times crafting and cooking with my boys!
so cute card! I like to celebrate with my family with lots of hugs and kisses. We just stay at home and cook.
