Hello! Jennifer McGuire here. I am so thrilled with the change in weather lately. The sun is out and the flowers are blooming. Yay! I thought I would bring some of that happiness inside by creating a happy set of notecards with a floral stamp, a bit of texture, and some yummy colors.
These cards came together so quickly but have a lot of interest to them, thanks to the products I used. The colorful pieces are Bazzill’s Dotted Swiss cardstock. I love that this cardstock comes in a pack with three shades per color. And the subtle raised dots? Perfect for adding a little pizzazz to a simple design.
One of my favorite things about Bazzill cardstock is how nicely clear embossed images show up on them, giving a slightly darker and shiny raised image. This Hero Arts Newspaper Tulips stamp is perfect for the spring and stands out nicely on these yummy Bazzill colors.
I decided to use a greeting that would work for many occasions: “love you” from the Technique Tuesday Love Always Wins set. I also embossed this greeting but in white. And yes, you can layer embossing on top of embossing!
And finally, I put each stamped piece on a matching notecard from Hero Arts. Simple! And now I have lots of cards ready to send out to friends and family. That feels good!

Love, Love LOVE the tulip newspaper stamp & what you did with the rainbow of dotted swiss cardstock. Wowsers! This would make me so happy to have that stamp in my hands while I am anticipating & waiting for my PINK tulips to blossom any day in my front yard. Tulips are my absolute favorite!!
I love these cards: I love the colour-gradients, what a great idea! The Hero Art stamp is so perfect for this kind of card.
And I also love the Bazzill paper; I do not have the Swiss Dots yet, but I regularly use the Bazzill cardstock. In my opinion, it is not only a matter of patterned paper to make a beautiful card or LO. The basics have to be of a good quality!
