I love everything about Easter! From the sweet colors, fresh grass, and newly bloomed flowers to the time that we get to spend with our loved ones dyeing and hunting Easter eggs and celebrating the meaning of the season. I don’t think you can beat it.
Are you ready for Easter? Holly reminded us last week that the holiday was on the horizon. And did I get busy to start making my Easter cards like I should have? No. I waited, like I usually do. And here it is, the week before Easter and I have no Easter cards. So what is one to do?
Is it too late to make those cards? No way! Even though Easter is less than a week away, you can at least put together a couple of cards for your most special friends or family members.
These four cards I made in about an hour.
Here are a few tips for putting together cards quickly:
1) Mass produce! For the cards above, I did the following:
- stamp all of the images (set aside to dry)
- make all of the card bases and cut patterned papers to the size of the card
- die cut borders on patterned paper & stamped images
- assemble pieces
- embellish with bows, buttons, border stickers and pearls
2) Stamping once is much faster than stamping twice. When shopping for products choose one stamp that has both an image and a sentiment.
3) Keep it simple. Use one sketch for all of your cards. Make each card look different by changing out patterned papers and colors of embellishments.
4) Using one collection, a 6×6 paper pad, and a few packs of embellishments by the same manufacturer go a long way, and it saves you the time and stress of matching it all up yourself. (Here I used Doodlebug Design’s Hello Spring collection.)
So what are your plans for Easter? Will you be crafting anything special for it? I’d love to hear about it! Leave a comment on this post, and one of you will win some goodies from the Hello Spring collection by Doodlebug Design and the Classic Bracket Edgeabilities® by Spellbinders™. All comments must be received by Friday, April 6th at 5 pm MST.
Here’s to a great holiday!

Paper Crafts Go-to Gal

BZ weekend planned w/ a crafts marathon w/ 18 gal pals starting on Friday from 9am-9pm, then back on Saturday from 9am-5pm. Will be crafting gifts to give to family at Easter brunch; talk about last minute!
I made a couple of Easter Treat holders for my MIL and son’s teacher. I will be going to church and lunch with my MIL and son.
I have to say no plans to make Easter cards because I’m too busy making Birthday cards! April is a crazy month, we have family Birthdays today, on Easter (DH), 12th (DD), 14th, 16th and 17th! Wowser–but I have to say a few of the cards WILL be containing some bunny action on them–after all–it’s not every year that the BD’s and Easter line up like this.
I will be going for a holiday at the seaside with my family on Easter day…sun, sandy beach, water play…a tropical paradise retreat!
I’m making a small trinket basket for my granddaughter and we’re going to my parents for Easter dinner and “the” egg hunt.

I have to work on Easter. In the afternoon I plan on scrapbooking and relaxing. It will be the start to my spring Break
Having Easter dinner with my parents–turkey!
I have already made 6 Easter cards, Easter goody bags and Easter mini albums from last year’s Easter pictures.
I still am not sure what i am doing for Easter. Because of this I don’t think I will be crafting anything special for it. I may make a card for my little niece.
What fun cards! We probably won’t do anything specific to celebrate Easter. My guess is that we will dye some eggs…
I’m still making a couple of cards and treat boxes for my granddaughters!! Luckily, I’ll be seeing them & NOT having to mail anything!! I just got a new Grand Calibur so the Edgeabilities die would be perfect!!! So that’s MY hand you see flipping around in the air!!
Sun and fun for Easter. Shoulda packed some crafting tools:(
Visiting family and friends this Easter.
Love your card set, Windy ~ can’t believe they only took an hour to create
Happy Easter to you.
We were going to have the kids over. Well, I say kids because he is my son but he is 35 and married (expecting their first) but they both will be working so now it will just be my husband and myself. We will still have all the food we normally make and just have a quiet day at home. (After eating we just about fall asleep any ways…LOL).
So cute! These CAS cards are fabulous. I made a couple of easter cards for children and candy holders, that is about it for this year. TFS and for the chance to win. Liz
we don’t celebrate easter, so we will probably be crafting. thank you for sharing the cards.
We have 2 family celebrations to go to! I get to cook the brunch!!! Yay!!!! Thanks for the chance!
I will be making another decorated chipboard bunny to take as a hostess gift to the family that invited us to Easter dinner, as well as making two very special Easter Baskets with decorations for two precious little chicks who will be celebrating their very first Easter this year!
I have to work a 24-hour shift on Easter. But Saturday I’m teaching a class of 18 ladies and we’re making some fun spring cards. Thanks for a chance to win!
No big plans, just brunch and perhaps a trip to the botanical gardens.

In between some church outreach activities I hope to do a bit of crafting (perhaps on Sat. afternoon) as my kids will be on a church camp and my husband is working.
Love your quick cards! I’m hosting Easter dinner tomorrow. Love having the family all over.
I won’t have time to do some crafting this year because of work. But with all the beautiful projects I see on blogs and youtube, I’ll have great inspiration for next year and I’ll make some plans in advance. Thanks for the chance and have a great day,
These are just fabulous Windy – love them all.
My plans are Easter are still up in the air – but I did some last-minute cards two nights ago and mailed them out yesterday … hopefully they will make it by Saturday! And, my immediate plans for the weekend itself include working out with my Triathlon training group (I am in training for my FIRST Triathlon, a mini-length), then I have a cooking class. Somewhere along the line I will be going to a friend’s house to help her plan her upcoming vacation to Maui! Sounds like a great weekend to me
Thanks for the great inspiration. Have a fabulous day!
My husband and I are getting together with with other military families for a big feast and get together! What fun, no one has family around so we become our own surrogate family! There will be lots of food and fun!!
Unfortunately I have to be away from home this Easter but before I left, I made a whole bouquet of paper flower pens, one for each person in the family. I asked my son to take lots of pictures.
I looove that stamp, such cute cards! This Easter I will have no time for crafting. I will be heading from MA to Vegas for my friends wedding and vacation! Can’t wait!!!
I will be gathering with our neighbors in our culdesac. I plan on passing out Easter treats. (look like sour cream containers)
These are really beautiful!! Love the different colored ribbons and adorable stamp! We’ll be doing a little Easter egg hunt at home, no traveling this year
I am starting work on an off the page project for mother’s day & will probably start getting Easter photos of my daughter uploaded and ready to scrap. Thanks for the chance to win!
I won’t be crafting anything for Easter. I’ll instead be working on all the birthday & anniversary cards I need to send in April!
I am going to a lodge with my parents and brother for the family weekend. I am so looking forward to it!
I just got my new issue and have already worn the pages out. I love this magazine and it is so inspiring. Good Luck to everyone. Someday I will get selected to win something! I am going to spend it with my 87 and 84 year old parents…………Have a Wonderful “Easter”.
We have family coming to stay – always a treat. I expect I will be doing some crafting with my 2 granddaughters. Last year we decorated polystyrene eggs.
Easter eggs hunting with grandkids. Hope to make some birthday & anniversary cards over the weekend. These posted cards are beautiful!
Love your cards! Really beautiful design and I love the bright ribbon. Thanks for all of the tips! Thank you for sharing!
Katie B.
I had such good intentions… alas, it’s only a few days away, and only a few cards made! Maybe I’ll get the banner done someday!!!
Not quite sure what i’ll be doing. Torn between time ith family, and some quiet “down time”. Maybe having the day off tomorrow will help rejuvinate me. Right now im just tired.
Wow Windy– what a fabulous set of last-minute Easter cards. I suspect it would take me a long time to make these — even when trying to mass product them!
I hope to make coloured homemade playdoh with my nieces this Easter weekend.
Beautiful cards! I’m off work for Easter for a whole week, so plan to get loads of crafting done.
Spending time with family
I’m not planning to craft anything too special. Just dying eggs with the kids and making a fun centerpiece.
since I’m still working to get over this last chemo treatment, I’m not sure if I’ll be joining my family at church on Sunday or not. but one of our son’s will have his girlfriend join us for dinner afterward. all of my family will be home this weekend to celebrate the holiday with us, so what more could this happy mom want?!
I hope to be able to dye some eggs with everyone for a throwback tradition.
