Hello, there! I hope everyone had a great weekend making cards and other crafty things. What’s that? You didn’t have time to craft? Well, I guess it probably was a bit busy. Maybe this week, huh?
Today I wanted to share with you a little about my weekend!
First of all, I got to craft a little with some of my new goodies, and I had a blast making some cards!
But more importantly, my mother happened to fly in earlier this week, and boy, I was glad to see her. Not only is she beautiful, talented, smart, and funny, she is one of my best friends. And since she knows me only too well, she knew I would just love a little taste of home. I certainly have been enjoying these snacks at work this past week!

Assorted Texas treats
Isn’t she thoughtful? Well, the same day she went to her mom’s house to spend time with her. I drove down to join them Saturday morning. This weekend I enjoyed some time with two wonderful examples in my life.
Anyway, remember how I said I got to craft this weekend too? Well, I made these little treasures for Mother’s Day!

And before I left yesterday, they were good enough sports to pose for a picture with their cards.

Two generations of mothers on Mother's Day
A big hug and thanks to all mothers out there. Your influence is priceless!

I have to say, your Mom looks young enough to be your sister! What a pretty lady!
What a great pic of your mom and grandmother! My mom has passed away, but she and I shared a love of cooking and recipes. We both collected recipes from friends and family and I inherited her collection when she passed. Food really brings back sweet memories!
What a fun day! My mom did a lot of crafts when I was a kid. She is my inspiration!
I love how my mother inspired my creativity. We’ve always done crafts together – as far back as I can remember. The only one I can remember starting without her is paper crafting/card making. Otherwise she is the one that started me on embroidery, cross-stitching and more recently crochet and knitting.
I love my mother’s selflessness… she always puts everyone else before herself.
I love that my mom knows me better than anyone else!
My favorite thing about my mom is that she is always willing to give 100 percent.
My favorite thing about my mother is her love for her grandchildren…she is unfailingly loving and generous and kind with them.
Great cards, sounds like a great day! Probably the advice she gives me. Thanks for sharing!

I loved my Mom’s determination…now that she’s gone, I miss her pep talks!
For the first time in years I got all 3 of my Mother’s Day cards (Mom, Mom-in-law, Stepmom) made and mailed on time!
A great cook!
