Card Creations: Volume 10—The Next Generation

Susan headshoot Card Creations: Volume 10—The Next Generation

Susan R. Opel

For 10 years, we’ve been inspired to make cards based on the lovely projects featured in every issue of Card Creations, and the enthusiasm of paper crafters hasn’t diminished! In each issue we print, we are delighted to welcome more and more designers into the pages of our magazine.

Today we want to take the time to say hello to several ladies whose cards appear in Card Creations: Volume 10, and it’s their first time! We like to call them newbies, but soon enough they’ll be old pros.

It would be fitting if there were 10 new faces in this issue, but you know us, we always like to outdo ourselves! So please help me welcome the following 10 +2 ladies in this fantastic 10th birthday issue.

Izzy Anderson – Izzy lives in North Carolina.

Diana Fleming – Diana just started her blog!

Catherina Fongjoyo – Cathy was a Gallery Idol finalist in 2011.

Rachel Izakowicz – Rachel lives in the UK and is a new mommy.

Elizabeta Kushner – Elizabeta lives in Croatia.

Carolyn LaBille – Carolyn lives in Illinois.

Latrice Murphy – Latrice lives in Illinois, too! Is there something in the water there?

Jacqueline Nimrichter – Jacqueline lives in Virginia.

Deborah Nolan – Deborah is a Hoosier from Indiana.

Erin Lee Schreiner – Erin Lee has 2 cards in this issue! She hails from Texas.

Michelle Siew Kheng Teo – Michelle is from Malaysia.

Chrissie Tobas – Chrissie’s card will make you laugh!

Make sure to head to these ladies’ blogs and see what they’ve been up to. In the meantime, let’s see a few of their cards!

Darling Dots by Latrice Murphy

I love how Latrice added lots of color to this happy card on a neutral background, and those rounded corners are genius!

Let’s Do Lunch by Erin Lee Schreiner

Don’t you just feel like this some days? It’s good to have a friend with which to share your joys and sorrows.

Feel Better Soon by Michelle Siew Kheng Teo

Band-Aids make everything better, but a gingham Band-Aid? Now that’s just super sweet!

What about you? Do you want to be a newbie someday? A good place to start is with these Submission Tips and then head to the submit tab right here on our blog to see what inspires you!

As for now, we’re offering three issues up right here, right now! Comment below for your chance to win! All comments must be received by Thursday, May 10th at 5 pm MDT.

Congratulations to the new girls and here’s to 10 more years!
