Congrats, Top 20! After the competition, we’ll be sending each of you the This is Big and Cheer Up stamp sets and Butter Bar and Bubble Gum inks from Hero Arts as well as Amy Tangerine ribbon from American Crafts and a copy of Card Creations, Vol. 10!
Top 20, we absolutely loved all of your encouragement cards and can’t wait to see what you come up with for round two. And we hope you’re ready, because this competition is about to heat up!
That’s right; it’s time to focus on round two! We thought long and hard about a theme that would not only challenge you, but inspire you (and hopefully our voters!). So…the theme for round two is You Color My World!
And that means we want to see your very best cards that incorporate rainbow themes and colors galore! (For inspiration, please refer to the You Color My World feature in our March/April issue.) The deadline is Monday, June 4th at 9 am MDT. All cards must be posted to our gallery by this time. I’ll be e-mailing you this afternoon to go over the specifics for posting and to answer any questions you might have.
Want to know what our top twenty will be playing for this round (other than the chance to continue on to become the next Gallery Idol)? We’ve got an assortment of rainbow-colored card-making goodies from Doodlebug Design to give away to the top 15 as well as the Grunged Sunrays stamp set from A Muse Studio and a copy of Stamp It! Cards 9 (which hasn’t even come out yet)! It’s gonna be fun!
Before I go, I want to take this opportunity to thank the other 394 designers who uploaded their amazing submissions to our gallery. With almost 2,000 entries this year, it was not an easy decision to narrow the pool to 20 spots. We hope you’ll still support our finalists in the voting rounds . . . after all, it’s our online community who will decide the next Gallery Idol winner. Voting begins at noon (MDT) on Monday, June 4th, so please come back to cast your vote!
