You’re going to love this issue. If you’re a stamper, it’s a must-have! There are all sorts of inspiring, creative, and adorable uses of stamps in this magazine—you’re not even going to know what to do with yourselves!
Stamping, coloring, embossing, masking, layering—yep, it’s all here. So let’s jump in and look at a few cards!
First, fussy cutting! It’s a little bit of work, but it’s payoff is huge in the end! Check out this card on page 115!
Pink Pansy for Mom Card by Amy Nemeth
Amy stamped the image on several kinds of patterned paper and cut out different pieces from different ones, putting them together to make one beautiful flower. It’s so pretty!
Next up, on page 98 we’ve got a punchy floral card! Different flowers were stamped with various inks and then punched out and adhered with foam tape. I really like how this card turned out, and I would like to try this technique out!
Fully Floral Hello Card by Taheerah Atchia
On page 22 you’ll see this striking card. It’s so cool to see colors pop out from a black card base. This one was stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then the embossing was colored with pencils. Genius for intricate stamped images!
Striking Thinking of You Card by Cristina Kowalczyk
Lastly, in the techniques section on page 8, you’ll see a beautiful floral card. Windy stamped roses on the kraft base in black and then stamped and embossed with white powder on white cardstock. Then she misted the cardstock and wiped off the excess, which made the embossed images pop out! What a cool technique.

As you can see, there are a lot of creative cards in this issue. But did you know that cool stamping techniques don’t just appear in our stamping special issues? That’s right; in each regular issue, we have a Stamp It! Techniques column. In the July/August 2012 issue, you will see different ideas on how to use stamps and markers together!
