I feel much honored to be posting today. The Fourth of July has always been a memorable holiday in our family – we celebrate the birth of a nation, and the birth of my Mom! Yes, she really was “born on the fourth of July”.
You are most likely enjoying your friends and family on this special day, but won’t you also spend a few moments thinking about a deployed soldier—someone who is not able to hug their loved ones today?
Operation Write Home (OWH) has received tons of support from Paper Crafts Magazine readers, so why not join in the fun? The OWH website has all the guidelines and even features a blog where card recipients can post. (I defy you to read for more than five minutes without a tear coming to your eye). Here are a few cards I created to send.
I used Pebbles’ new Let Freedom Ring collection – it made creating the cards so easy!
Hope you have a wonderful Fourth of July, and when the fireworks are over and the last sparkler has burned out; why not spend a few minutes to create a special card for one of those who keep us free? Thank you!
I happen to have an extra Patriotic stamp set by Karen FosterDesign like the one I used on one of these cards.
I’d love to give it away to one lucky winner! Comment below by Friday, July 6th at 5 pm MDT for your chance to win it!

I Really do Need this set for my collection!
I missed being born on the 4th by two day! I love your cards – especially the fireworks paper.
Very fun and bright cards Kim!
Fabulous cards! Fabulous organization! My stamp collection is severely lacking in the patriotic department. I would love to give those stamps a new home!
You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation but I find this topic to be really one thing that I believe I might by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely extensive for me. I’m looking forward for your subsequent put up, I will try to get the cling of it!
Simple and elegant….and a great stamp set. I believe one can not have too many patriotic sets to make cards for the troops.
These cards are fabulous. I’ll be CASE’g them, OK????
Kim, great cards. I actually love doing the patriotic thing all year long. We really need to appreciate our country and those who created it and fought(fight) for our freedoms–every day. Thanks for the chance–would love to win this awesome set.
What a great opporttunity! My S&B (stitch & b….!)group would love this for our collection! We send cards all year long. In fact we’re celebrating one returning to US this Sunday! Thanks so much for doing what you do!!

Kim, your cards are perfect for OWH–good old red white and blue goodness. The sentiments in this set are perfect too. Thanks for a chance to win. Happy belated fourth to you and yours.
These are fantastic! They would be great for making cards for our troops.
I LOVE the red, white, and blue…it is the colors I used in my dining area and kitchen! Thanks for the chance to win this set…and thanks to all the VETS out there!
