Lately, one of my favorite things has been pastels. They are so soft and pretty! I love the trendy mint and pink colors, but I love all the other pastels too.

So I think I’ll show you a few pastel cards we’ve published in our magazines recently.

It’s always a bit difficult to make just the right sympathy card, but I think this one is beautiful and tranquil and would communicate to its recipient exactly what you’d want it to.

So since I hadn’t crafted in some time (*gasp*, please forgive me!) I thought I would make a nice little pastel card with some of Dear Lizzy’s Neopolitan collection.

    Favourite these colours always had been ,
    But now that I have become a crafting queen,
    I see colours which i had never before  seen,
    Yellow of sunrise, blue of sky , white of ice,green of leaves to stock them all in my stash
    I am keen

    I love pastels, and find I use them quite a lot. I’m also a big fan of vintage colors: kraft, black, cream, red, navy…hard to go wrong with those!
    Keep on craftin’, girl…you’ve got skills!

  5. right now I’m really into using bright color combinations like blues/greens/oranges and yellows, but it always depends on my mood at the time I’m creating as to what I used. :)

    these are all so fabulous! my favorite colors to use right now are rich, bright colors like raspberry, melon, aqua, celery, lime, and orange! I also like the soft pastels, too! :)

    It is rare that I make a card without something brown. I love brown – everything from manilla folder to kraft (oooh, my favorite) to a dark chocolate brown. And green. And red. Okay, I love color – period. :) I’m getting ready to use lots of pink as one of my dearest friends is having baby girl #5 this week!!! :)

    Since the majority of the cards I make go to women my favorite is pink. However, I do like blue and yellow together!!

    I love using the pink blue yellow combo. I also love the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line. :) But then again, I love just about any paper!

    In the spring, I like pastels. In the summer, I like bright hues. In the fall, I like oranges, reds, yellows and greens. In the winter, I like blue and white.

    My favorite colors to work with are Blue’s and purples. I love working with pastels though because they are so soft and really blend well.

    I am so glad you added the “at the moment” as what I like seems to change with the wind. Lately I have really enjoyed using pastels accented with black or brown.

    Pastels are good to use for times when I’m feeling quiet and peaceful and want my cards to reflect thet. Most of the time I use bold, bright colors. They reflect my love of life and my loud, bold personality.
