Kerri Miller

I’ve got a riddle for you today.

What goes for 2,162 miles (3,479 km) at an average of 24 mph (40 kph), hitting top speeds of 50 mph (80 kph)?

Here is a clue: it’s something that has had my husband and me getting up at 6:00 am and going to bed entirely too late for the past couple of weeks and is directly responsible for the unsightly bags under my eyes.

Still don’t know?

How about these clues . . .

Bon Voyage by Lorena Canto Laveria – p. 23 of Stamp It! Cards Vol. 9

Cycling . . . very fast . . . lots of miles . . . over several weeks . . . in France.

Do you have the answer yet?

The answer is the Tour de France or in particular, the riders of the Tour de France! (Go Cadel Evans!) One of my favorite times of year and the only time I allow myself to watch TV for four hours a day three weeks straight. If you haven’t already been checking in, this weekend is the last to catch a glimpse at some amazing athletes doing some extraordinary stuff. (Here’s an idea – you can watch it while crafting cards!)

Of course, if biking isn’t your thing, you can always tune into the upcoming Olympics starting on July 27th. I am ridiculously excited for the Olympics. It’s a good thing I’m conditioning my body for lack of sleep now so I can function during the Olympics.

And guess what? We happen to have a bicycle-themed stamp set here from Cornish Heritage Farms, and I’d love to give it to one of you.
