When I was a little lass, as soon as I got my supply list for the next school year, I’d bug my mom until we could go get everything it entailed. I just loved getting new markers, crayons, pencils, notebooks, and pencil cases. I’d pull everything out of its packaging and organize and reorganize it several times before school started. I guess I loved school!
Well, it’s about that time. Summer is winding down. August means the start of another school year to most—which is a chance to start fresh! Teachers get to meet new students, students get to make new friends, and even though summer is a blast, parents get to get back to accomplishing things!
There are so many cute school-themed crafting products out there, and some really cute projects too. Let’s take a look at some that Paper Crafts has published!
In the July/August 2012 issue of Paper Crafts, you’ll find this cute Just Joking Card Set by Heather Campbell on page 50. It’s perfect to write a little note in and stick in your little Einstein’s lunch box. You can find the jokes that Heather used on our website by clicking here.
In 365 Cards, you’ll find this Golden Rule Days card by Vivian Masket on page 107. With apples and notebook-style paper, it’s a great back-to-school card. This simple design could also be recreated for all kinds of occasions!
Lastly, back in the July/August issue, you’ll also find this Fortunate Take-Out Box by Katie Gehring on page 56. What a sweet little gift! I myself am fond of the typical apple motif for back-to-school, but I also love when I see something unexpected and clever. Look how cute that project is!
Are you inspired to create back-to-school projects? Would you like some back-to-school crafting goodies? One lucky commenter will win the Edumacation Stack from DCWV as well as the Oxford collection from BasicGrey and the 6 x 6 Off to School Paper Pad by Fancy Pants Designs!
All comments must be received by Wednesday, August 15th at 5 pm MDT.

These sweet projects bring back such lovely memories of my school days…thanks so much for the chance to win!!!
I loved school…taught for 15 years, but honestly, I always get anxious about how much of the summer has already passed and how quickly school rolls around again. I have so much fun spending time with my son during the summer that I don’t want the summer to end. However, all this inspiration has me thinking creatively about the start of a new school year…thanks for that!
Very fun!
Making back to school scrapbook pages for the children is a tradition of ours. I really like the take out box. It would be a fun gift for teachers, especially on Teacher Appreciation Day.
Great back to school projects! I always loved getting new school supplies, too.

What fun! My little one started Montessori today
My older one and I are shopping for supplies for the needy kids in the area later today. Each year, they try to “Fill the Bus” with supplies! It lets me shop for even more goodies, and feel thankful that it’s not a stretch for our budget to buy an extra pen or two!
EEK I am a teacher and it is back to school day for me! Wish me luck!
I too loved shopping for back to school items! I loved picking out folders with different designs, celebrities or animals on them!
I work in a school system and love this whole collection! I frequently make cards for our employees on their special days and this collection looks perfect for this. Great ideas, too. I have done the “back to school” thing for my children, grandchildren and am now working on my great grandchildren. I love the note cards. I think I will make these today because my sweet great grandkids start back to school on Thursday and they love to get mail. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I am going to show my age here, but when I was in school, it was buying the first pack of Blue Horse notebook paper, and collecting the blue horse emblems to get free prizes that was so exciting! Also, the smell of new pencils (woody) and crayons (waxy) that bring back the memories, too!
To this day, I *LOVE* office supplies (grown up name for school supplies) and think it all started from being a little kid so excited about crayons, pens, paper, pencils, notebooks, trapper keepers, etc. That is probably one of the many reasons I love paper crafting too – I get to make all sorts of pretty things from paper and pens, just like when I was in elementary school … oh my! Enjoy the end of summer
My daughter is past the start of school craze….but now my grandson is at “that age”!!!!
Thanks again for an awesome opportunity to win some cuter than ever treasures!!!!
Once I had kids, making special things for teachers, and scrapbooking all the photos has never gotten caught up on! Love your inspiring projects especially the cute teacher chinese gift box!
