Did you know today is Just Because Day? A day to do something completely unexpected and even uncharacteristic. I’m currently on vacation, so my goal for today (and this entire week!) is to try something new, rediscover something old, and enjoy the journey along the way. The best part…there can’t be any guilt because anything goes on Just Because Day!
According to HolidayInsight.com, here are some suggestions for Just Because Day:
- Take an unplanned day of vacation
- Visit someone you haven’t seen in a while
- Knock on someone’s door and compliment them for their great lawn
- Skip, don’t walk
- Buy something you don’t need
- Jump in a puddle
And I’ll add to the above list with these suggestions:
- Mail a card to a friend, just because you can
- Make a card, just because you can
- Read a copy of Paper Crafts magazine in one sitting, just because you can
- Submit a card (or more!) to our March/April 2012 Call for Submissions, just because you can
- Submit a card to our 2012 World Card Making Day Contest, just because you can

I’ll celebrate today by going to my favorite fish house for a belated birthday dinner with a dear friend.
I plan on going to the library for an hour or so, and just read and browse. Just because.
I took a nap today, just because I could.
I love that there is such a day – I had never heard of it before. I wish I had read this post on the day because I would’ve done lots of random things, just because!
Take a nap! (And I actually got to, which is why I never got around to commenting last night.)
I organized my papers.
I’ll be squeezing into a “scout” tent (think: sized for 2 little boys!) with my monkeys (5 & 6) in the yard tonight with flashlights, sleeping bags, and lots of cuddles… just because they asked me to!
i invited one of my friends over to watch our fav new show together!
we had homemade ice cream sandwiches. yummy!!
I organized, love doing that.
Well, since I’m a day late to the game – I’ll take a “Just Because” evening for myself tomorrow after work and just relax in my craft room and make a few cards since I have not had the chance to do that in weeks!
I celebrated by shopping online for a new Paper Craft Magazine! and another card making book.
I’m going to make sketches for my xmas cards thies evening “just because” I have a litle freem time

I spent “just because” day doing laundry and cleaning the house, but unfortunately that was sort of something unusual as I have sort of let the house go this summer.

Just late had to work and then came home and relaxed on the computer for a little then worked on some Christmas cards seeing I need so many of course hung out with the other half too
I think a little Just Because sneaking into every day is a fabulous idea!
I spent that actual day baby-sitting my great niece and then working at a charity event in the evening, but yesterday I relaxed by watching a couple of episodes of Downton Abbey–that felt like a Just Because activity to me. Thanks for the chance to win!
